I think people are taking this way too seriously. It's just a single pool of a tournament that turned out anticlimactic, the amount booing is excessive.

On the other hand, Salty's is handling this whole thing kinda poorly. He should just admit his mistake and disqualify Nail from the tournament, not this "this is Saltybet what did you expect " attitude.

Anyway, back to having fun.

Weren't bullshit characters supposed to be banned from this tourney? Infinite HP guys, SSJ4 Gohan, Rare Akuma, etc?

Hell, the touhou chars are banned and they really shouldn't be.

Wait wait, what the hell is going on? I haven't been watching at all tonight, quite literally booted it up to subscribe and illuminati and see a Nail mirror match with someone singing about saltybet and so I come in here to see what's up and apparently some bullshit occured?

he apologized for Cyborg Superman, yet for some reason Nail, who is much more bullshit than "lol he has 1000000x as much HP as anyone else" is okay.


I doubt anyone in the tourney could beat nail. Not in a best out of 5 series.

Regen + triggered invincibility is just bullshit. Have one or the other, but not both.

Wasn't this tourney supposed to be a tourney of broken characters, not bullshit characters like Nail, Rare Akuma, SSJ4 Gohan, and Akuma X? That was part of the fun, to see which broken character was the best. The chars whih do 100000000 life bars of damage each frame with full screen attacks and guys with infinite HP or invincibility aren't supposed to be involved.

I enjoyed the Nail mirror match that just happened, but if all of this is supposed to be broken, then I guess I'll just go back to not being as interested anymore. The previous tournaments were awesome to watch because it was actually curated so that at least for a few hours out of the week, there'd be a "balanced" environment and not just full of broken and glitchy stuff.

Wow, right after that tournament there's only like 5k viewers. I thought there were 6.2k during it. I guess some people must have not really liked what they saw. Though I have to admit going invincible is a lot less exciting than over aggressive AI or crazy offense. He still fights like crap but he's just invincible and heals.

Reading the thread, it seems like the issue more was they said there wouldn't be bullshit characters in the tournament, then there actually was but instead of apologizing or dealing with it salty's just being a dick about it.

There was a tournament pool (in which the characters are handpicked to be good but not completely broken), and Nail was one of the participants. He ended up being completely broken and effortlessly destroying all other characters. People got salty and asked for disqualification/rollbacks, but Salty refused.

NO. Tournaments are serious business! Even for fun!

If there were several broken characters it'd have been more lighthearted. But one single Z-tier broken guy thrown in ruined the whole night.

You are missing the point entirely. Why would I care about losing fake money that I planned to lose in the first place?

The problem is we were told there'd be real matches, we got bullshit, and now they're taking the 'lol I trolled you hard' stance. Nail is gonna fuck up the rest of the tournament if he's kept in and we don't want to watch unhype matches.

You're missing the point. The tournament is supposed to be free of broken characters, this is why Rare Akuma and a lot of others are banned. Nail is broken or bugged, it's not funny to see him win this tournament because of a bug, that's all, who cares about the fake money.
I wanted to see Rock Volnutt vs Evil Ken.
