This probably means that the hosts for E3, Gamescom and TGS are going to be interchangeable.

Also, this is Layden's chance to make Vib Ribbon on PS4 a reality.

I wonder if this means that PS4 OS development and PSN infrastructure will now be developed in the US.

"Interactive" sounds weird.

Maybe because they wanna go back to the 90's where 20th Century Fox and Universal Studios would do their own video game division under the word "Interactive", like Fox Interactive and Universal Interactive Studios (otherwise known as Vivendi Games until 2007).

Oh so Shu will remain in WWS and works under Layden.
Sony gaming division is even more Western centered than ever before then.

Definitely not an STD, as I'm a pure.
Damn "Sony Computer Entertainment" was so cool growing up and still is. I'm going to miss that "Sony Computer Entertainment Presents" screen.

It says that PSN will be in the press release, but its not clear at this point if it will development of PSN services like Now Vue and Music or the whole damn thing.

The PS4 firmware might still stay in Japan under Sony electronics however.

The change will only take effect on April 1st. So you will still see it in your next Uncharted.

Networking appears to be. Was it before? I'd guess OS would be under Ito in Hardware engineering and operation though

Seeing as Masayasu Ito is the chief of Hardware engineering and operations, firmware developments will probably remain in Japan.

Is he teasing Tokyo Jungle 2 with that background?

If you're talking about his twitter background, then the background is from Kojima and Cerny's tour at Media Molecules.

And just because SCE and SNE merged, does not mean that there still won't be an America, Europe, and Japan (Asia) division.

Hail, peons, for I have come as ambassador from the great and bountiful Blueberry Butt Explosion
This is really good news for third party digital release developers.

But head of SCEA now head of WWS, and head of SCEE now head of marketing!

Also, this may be a sign that the firmware and PSN development is moving from japan, so thats good.

Oh please be true.

The firmware team really should not follow the Japanese software model of "everything is siloed and nobody knows anything, things will come out from this office sometimes maybe, we may implement some features, not necessarily in the way the consumers want it, and there's no given timeline on any of this".

SCE is now called SIE. We were originally going to call them “International Sony Interactive Studios“, until we saw the acronym
