A very enjoyable flash of the last battle of FF6 and ending, with a twist :) It uses consoles as the characters! The detail is almost identical. Ah..the good ol days..nostalgia kicking in..

BTW its in Japanese, and it runs about 30 minutes.

LOL, Sabin and Edgar are Nintendo 64 and Gamecube

OMG this is awesome. :) The battle one rules!!

EDIT: I should add, it's a lot more funny if you can read the text. Some of the move and item names are hilarious. :)

Just finished watching it. That was unbelievably awesome. The dialogue is hilarious!!

whoever made this deserves a medal. Seriously. Were the previous two as good as this one? I've never seen them (sad, I know).

Oh man, some of the flashback things had me dying laughing, along with seeing which characters were which.

Dreamcast (Celes) getting the batteries (fish) for Gamegear (Cid). Virtual Boy as Shadow.

One thing I noticed about this (cause I just beat a game on my US FF3 cartridge recently) is that they must have cut out a lot of the ending in the US version of the game, OR these guys added in bits that they thought were funny.

Yeah, I think it all was. I recognized all of it.
Genesis/32X/Sega CD fight music sounded like it was from FF6, but I can't quite recall which tune it was.

The only thing I could relatively read was the 3D0 saying something about M2. I cracked up, and I didn't even see what it said. I just knew what they meant.

SEGA Fantasy V was pretty funny, even though the majority of it didn't make sense to me... but I recognized all the stuff from FFV's endgame :lol

If translated, I can imagine this being the best flash animation ever.

Can anyone confirm if the endings of the domestic, and Japanese versions of the game were different?

so much hilarity! ps only had 4M of ram, xbox ramming the boss.
ps2 is the old king and the psp will betray him.
:lol :lol :lol

But why would the Megadrive, Famicom, and Super Famicom be working for the PSP?

But that was pretty cool when the Mega Drive snapped onto the 32X and Mega CD, dramatic Anime robot style. :lol

They represented the 3 gods in the original game. The psp had taken control of them.

and question
Why was Locke flying with Terra at the end? Terra liked General Leo while Locke like Celes, right?

Hahaha, that was neat. I could read most of the attacks..the PSP's square button was a nice attack.

Some of the attacks were game names (DC used Soul Calibur, VB used Red Alarm, Wonderswan used Gumpei, the Mega Drive used Bare Knuckle, etc), but some were different 'abilities' of the systems, like the Square Button on the PSP, Brute Force from the X-Box, and stuff.

Rofl at the ending..go PS1/Tina/Terra having the Super Famicom coming out and the PS calling it 'Father'.

And the Gameboy/Stragus/Strago being GBA's grandpa and dying (I think).

:lol

They changed scenes in the ending, I think. I've played through the SFAM version of FF6 and don't remember the ending sequence being any different (aside from some character names and what they say in their bits).

You know, Brute Force is an Xbox game. :D

This is indeed, the best thing EVER. That was amazing! Gawd-damn, I haven't played Final Fantasy VI in nearly 8 years...the nostalgia is too much.

Also, I had forgotten how freaking good FFVI's soundtrack is.

that's the greatest thing i've ever seen. i particularly liked xenosaga's "kusoge" effect when thrown. :lol

and yeah, EXTREME NOSTALGIA ATTACK. i'd better not watch that again or i may actually try to replay ff6.

The funniest part is when the 'theif' tries to steal from the Mega Drive/CD/32X and gets a "Nothing worth stealing!" message.

Wait a second...that's not funny!!!

Magnifique! Encore! Encore!

At first, during the battles, I was laughing.

But then...I've never seen the FF6 ending before. It was amazing...the whole thing filled me with such emotion, and I've hardly played FF6. I think that will be one of the RPGs I tackle this summer, as it's about time I played through that (and it's hard playing through RPGs during the school year).

Wow....truly awesome. These people deserve tons of respect.

That was really awesome. The attacks and remarks made me laugh like no other time!

This also reminded me how damn long the FFVI ending was. I think it runs about 24 minutes, which is ridiculous for a 16-bit game.

Great little movie, and it reminded me of how awesome the FF6 ending music is. I'm not a fan of the game in general, but the themes are amazing.

Ok, this is officially the BEST FLASH ANIMATION EVER!

Doesn't hurt FF6's ending and music is probably one of my absolute favorites of all time.. sooo many little jokes about the consoles too :lol :lol

No, he didn't.

And Drohne/other poster...you can't watch the video again, because you might want to play a game you like again, which is bad, because the game is pretty old?

Let me get this straight: playing a game again, despite it would be fun to go through again, because it's old, is bad?

That's got to be about the stupidest fucking thing I've ever seen posted about games.

I think it was a sarcastic remark on his part, and mostly centered on how time-consuming it might be to play it right now.

i don't have the time to replay ff6, but more than that i doubt it'll stand up to my nostalgia-drenched, nostalgia-choked, nostalgia-drowned memories. i play old games at least as much as i play new games, but some old games are best left in the past, i think.

Sometimes it's really funny to see people overreact.

Sometimes it's really funny to see people think I'm talking about one post by 1 person, and not a culmination of said way of thinking, by not only the one I quoted.

So you'd rather never play it again, ever, because it might suck compared to the last time, which you are unsure about? Strange philosophy there.

The whole "OMG NOSTALGIA" spiel is pretty disappointing. So if a game doesnt say Copyright 2002 or later, it's not playable or worth the time anymore?

i have nothing against old games. really. my closet is stuffed with old cartridges. one of my favorite ways to spend a weekend afternoon is to go through a stack of nes carts. if i had to choose, i'd probably take Old Games over New Games.

but my tastes have changed, some of my standards have gone up, and i'm pretty certain i wouldn't like ffvi today.

Jesus.. who the hell is this chick?

There's some fond memories and the excellent music still holds up to be sure... But you're bit off if you don't think FF6, like a lot of other big name 16-bit games aren't looked through almost exclusively through rose tinted glasses.

Not to say there's no enjoyment to be had, that's silly, but I hope you catch my point.

Of course, I thought FF6 was overrated back then, and I think it's overrated now, so that makes it easier on me. :D All the cool kids played Lufia.

Rose tinted glasses? That's what I'm talking about, Alex. Some people don't just look back onto those, they still play them. Are they being "blinded by nostalgia"? No. Not everyone has daydreams about that kind of stuff.

Lufia 1 was cool..Lufia 2 sucked when it erased my save data.

The whole "you're in a dream world when you think about how good/fun older games really were!" pisses me off. :)

That was fucking AWESOME. Really happy that I have seen that flash movie :) I have remembered so many great things... THANK YOU, whoever did it.
