Thank god, I finished the PS3 version on a crummy 14" CRT set back when it released and everything was so muddy that I couldn't even see when enemies were about to hit me.

Nintendo does not have a trademark with Lego City Undercover. Nintendo has a trademark with Bayonetta 2. No real chance without NIntendo signing off on it.

While the last sentence is true for Bayonetta 2 (just as it was true for Lego City Undercover), the Bayonetta trademarks are property of Sega.

Great news if it does release on PC. With Lego City Undercover releasing on non-Nintendo platforms maybe a Bayo 2 release is no longer completely out of the question, though I don't expect it. Anything to grow the franchise and increase the chance for Bayo 3 (on any platform) is good by me.

I may even pick up a PC port, despite not having a PC that could run it, just to show support.

people already brought that out and it was already shoot down..not the same situation at all.

that game is 100% nintendo, and they have no recorded history of letting their games on other consoles or pc (except maybe a game i remember being on windows ages ago,but it was a spinoff of mario where he plays chess and other games and i don't even remember if i just imagined it or it really existed), so the chances of a porting are 0% as long as nintendo stays in the hardware market.

it's really simple, just like goldeneye is nintendo property despite they not owning the 007 franchise, the same way bayo 2 is nintendo's prperty despite the franchise being sega's property.

That was Mario's Game Gallery on DOS and that was made by a western developer.

Indeed they are. Bayonetta 2 is co-trademarked by Nintendo and Sega and both would have to agree to port it to PC.

oh,thanks

at least that game really existed..i was starting to fear my memory was broken or something...i remember reading about it waaay back and not thinking much of it..then when i grew older and remembered i was like " a mario spinoff game on pc? did it really existed?"

If this isn't Bayo 1 on Steam, are we going to see Bayo 2 announcement level of sodium, or was that just because it's Nintendo?

Have people considered this could be Bayonetta 3?

Not with this shoe/picture, it's definitely Bayo 1 related, even if it's the anime like Duckroll joked about or some mobile/pachinko game.
Bayo 3 likely would be kept for a bigger event too.

i mean Bayonetta 2 is a cool thing, but everything integral about Bayonetta from a archival perspective exists in Bayonetta 1, so...

Like, I can't ever see myself wanting to play two again when one exists. It's weird.
If I'm being honest for a second, I enjoyed Bayo 2 far more than 1, so yes...your post does seem weird to me.

Naturally, but that seems unlikely:

The background of the site uses promotional art for Bayonetta 1, Scarborough Fair and all.

That and a pair of Steam achievements is what lead people to the URL. Considering the series proper has no presence on the PC, that's too platform-specific for a multiplatform announcement.

I played the two games over 100 hours(yes I LOVE Bayonetta games), but Bayo 1 is the superior one and top 10 of all time material.

It's all what people need.

Can't wait fo fight this guy for the billion time.

Bayonetta's whole last chapter is probably amongst the best endings I've ever seen in a video game. That's what disappointed me the most in Bayonetta 2, 'cause the ending clearly felt like the game was rushed, or came out of a rough development.

But to me, the best Bayonetta fight is clearly in the second game.
The way the Lumen masked fight evolved from a 1v1 duel, heavily relying on perfectly-timing dodges, into a battle between hell and heaven, was truly incredible. I don't think anything else in Bayonetta top this.

In general, Bayonetta 2 had such a bump in the production value/staging that I can't see myself enjoying the first one as much again, beside the final chapter. The flying section really helped with that.

I guess this is why SEGA Europe has been so quiet on details about their console to PC projects, they wanted to pull off this april fools joke. :>

I don't think it's wise to get so spoilerish in a thread about the port of a game that wasn't on another platform yet.

Yeah Masked Luman was absolutely amazing, especially in the last phase.I actually used to let him kill me to make the fight last longer lol.

So tempted to just delete BoTW and download Bayo 2 again.

It's a 7 year old game.

Lego City Undercover is a very recent example actually. Banjo-Kazooie and all those Rare games are also examples of Nintendo letting go of their games. Money can make a change.

Nintendo owns the game code to Bayonetta 2, but doesn't own Bayonetta trademarks as far as I see.

Ok, please show me evidence for that. I looked this up on the US trademark database and couldn't find such an entry.

I don't think Nintendo ever owned Rare's games. Nintendo published them but Rare held the rights.

That's not an excuse though. I mean, sure, considering the age, you have more people likely to have finished the game (I did). But on a thread about a release on a platform that didn't get said release, I think that's a bit more sensible.

This could literally be anything Bayonetta related. It may not even be Steam related.

Yes I am 100% aware of the art and the source.
