Sorry about putting this thread up early, but I'm not sure if I'll be here later tonight to put it up when the time comes, or if my internet goes down, or something like that. Basically, too much time was invested into this thread for it to not go up!

Did we waste our time considering this thread will only be up for about 4 days? Probably, but.. it's worth it. SEGA is the best they have been in a long time and we want everyone to know that.

Anyways... Thread starts... NOW!

Welcome, fine Gaffers, to another Tokyo Game Show from the lively booth of the blue skies company SEGA! The publisher has taken over the biggest booth at the expo and it shows with their line up, titles ranging from platformer, rhythm games and third person shooter, at this Tokyo Game Show SEGA has a line up that should have something for everyone. The publisher have brought big titles in the form of Sonic Generatiions and Phantasy Star Online 2, but its not just sequels here at SEGA as major new IP Binary Domain from Team Yakuza will also be present! So take a seat back and enjoy the show!

CURRENT GAME LINE-UP:(Game descriptions by Aki-at from SEGAbits)
7th Dragon 2020 - PSP
Development Team: Imageepoch
Genre: RPG
Producer: Reiko Kodama
Director: Kazuya Niinou
Composer: Yuzo Koshiro

The sequel to SEGA's 2009 role-playing title 7th Dragon for the Nintendo DS this time appears exclusively for the Playstation Portable. The changes to the series include ditching the static imagery of the original in favour of polygon graphics and a complete change in settings, instead focusing closer on modern day Tokyo rather than the medieval time players familiarised themselves in the original. Producing the game is Reiko Kodama, known for her hand in SEGA's long running Phantasy Star series and cult classic Skies of Arcadia. The music will be composed by another fan favourite Yuzo Koshiro who is perhaps most associated with his Streets of Rage soundtrack. Directing the game would be Kazuya Niinou, piror to directing the 7th Dragon games, Niinou was the director for both the original Trauma Center and Etrian Odyssey.

Binary Domain - PS3/360
Development Team: Studio Ryu Ga Gotoku/Team Yakuza
Producer: Toshihiro Nagoshi
Director: Daisuke Sato
Genre: Third Person Shooter

Binary Domain is a futuristic third person shooter that combines elements of squad based strategy and trust building to help it try and differentiate from the scores of third person shooters being released in this day and age. Set in 2080, it is believed the Japanese company Amada is illegally producing lifelike human robots, known as Hollow Childs, that have started to infiltrate every section of human society. Wary of such a threat if machine doubles can begin to replace everyday humans, a team of international specialists have been drafted together to bring in the founder of Amada and cease production of the Hollow Childs. The team behind it, Team Yakuza, has had a line of both critically and financial success, ranging from the Monkey Ball series, F-Zero GX and the various Yakuza titles SEGA have produced in just over half a decade and producer Toshihiro Nagoshi is hoping, in particular, that Team Yakuza can draft a quality storyline that poses the questions on what it means to be human.

Binary Domain also features a wide range of blended styles, perhaps not so strange when you consider that the team worked beforehand on the Yakuza series. The player will be able to chose, out of 7, two other squad members they can take into a battle with and the team is hoping that mixing and matching can offer replayability and different options to take on each varying situation. Implemented with this is a trust system, the better performance the player gives on the battlefield, the better your squad mates will trust you and offer better support for you. It is known that Binary Domain will feature a co-op multiplayer, although in what form is yet to be confirmed.

Kingdom Conquest
Platform: iOS
Genre: Dungeon Crawling and MMO Real Time Strategy

Kingdom Conquest is a free to play iOS title that is making its first appearance in Japan however those familiar with the name should know that title has already been available for some time in the West. Players are able to forge alliances with other players, collect monsters and upgrade them by giving them new ability or trade with players. In addition to that, players will be able to venture into dungeons and defeat beasts to collect items to battle against competing players in the Real Time Strategy mode.

Kurohyo 2 Ryu Ga Gotoku (Black Panther 2)
Platform: Playstation Portable
Development Team: Studio Ryu Ga Gotoku/Team Yakuza
Producer: Toshihiro Nagoshi
Genre: Action Adventure

The first title to be developed under the Team Yakuza banner, Black Panther 2 is the sequel to the Japan only title Black Panther! Yakuza New Chapter. Whilst previously the development duties were handled by developer syn Sophia, known for their Def Jam games, SEGA have taken in the sequel back as an inhouse project. It has been confirmed that the protagonist from the original title Tatsuya returns and that Osaka has been added as an additional area, along with Kamurocho, for the player to explore. SEGA also confirmed that much like Yakuza 4 and Yakuza of the End, there would be additional characters that the player will be able to control throughout the story.

Anarchy Reigns/MAX Anarchy
Platfrom: Playstation 3/ Xbox 360
Development Team: Platinum Games
Producer: Atsushi Inabai
Director: Masaki Yamanaka
Genre: Beat em' up

The latest title from critically acclaimed development studio Platinum Games comes Anarchy Reigns (Known as MAX Anarchy in Japan) the spiritual sequel to an earlier Platinum title, MadWorld for the Nintendo Wii. The story focuses on Jack Cayman (With Steve Blum reprising his role as Jack from the original title) a member of the organisation Chasers, who take on missions that the police cannot solve. Throughout the city of Altanbra, where the game is set, the player will be tasked with various missions that they will have to complete to progress the story.

But the major component for the game will be its online multiplayer, the games boosts a wide range of characters to chose from as well as a variety of mode such as Tag Team and Battle Royale so expect to see a few more modes revealed at the up and coming event.

Phantasy Star Online 2
Platform: PC
Development Team: Sonic Team
Producer: Satoshi Sakai
Genre: Action-RPG/MMORPG

The sequel to one of SEGA's most loved Dreamcast title is almost here! Taking the lessons learned from the Playstation Portable titles, SEGA are looking to revitilize the Phantasy Star series with this major new title available exclusively, at the moment, for PC. There has been no indiciation of the plot nor the setting barring both a forest and cave stages so expect a major roll out of news at Tokyo Game Show where SEGA has confirmed that special events will be taking place.

New additions to the series are the inclusion of a jump feature that will allow the player to transverse randomly generated levels and a third person aim for those willing to wield guns as Rangers. The character customization has also been upgraded and now players will have an even greater deal of control over what their virtual avatar looks like.

Project Diva Extended
Platform: Playstation Portable
Development Team: SEGA
Genre: Rhythm Game

As the name implies. Project Diva Extended is not a full blown sequel like the original Project Diva 2nd but a extended version of the title. The gameplay will remain mostly intact from the previous installment which added the use of the D-pad and hold and release functions for the face buttons. So far SEGA have confirmed that there will be 8 new songs to accompany 10 older ones and.

Rhythm Phantom Thief R
Platform: Nintendo 3DS
Development Team: SEGA
Producer: Shun Nakamura
Genre: Rhythm action

A new IP to join the ranks of SEGA's Tokyo Game Show lineup, Thief R is about a boy named Ralph and his pet dog Fondue who travel through the night in Paris as they steal treasures from various places such as Notre-Dame and the Louvre. The rhythm gameplay kicks in when Ralph is either breaking into museums and dodging past police and helicopters or battling it out with a mysterious order of Knights. SEGA have announced that they will be teaming up with famous artists but have yet to release any detail, expect some new information during the show!

Shinobi 3DS
Platform: Nintendo 3DS
Development Team: Griptonite Games
Genre: Action-adventure, hack and slash

Another attempt to relaunch the Shinobi series after a seven year hiatus was followed after Nightshade for the Playstation 2, SEGA has given Griptonite Games the task to bring their ninja series into the new decade. Shinobi 3DS will star Jiro Musashi, the father of the original hero from the classic Shinobi titles as he must fight off a new mysterious evil that has attacked the Oboro clan's village. Through his quest to defeat the new evil, Jiro will take on helicopters, cyborg sharks and tranverse snowy mountains and take on hordes of enemies.

Sonic Generations
Platform: Playstation 3 / Xbox 360 / PC / 3DS
Development Team: Sonic Team
Producer: Takashi Iizuka
Genre: Platform

SEGA is hoping to celebrate Sonic's 20th Anniversary with a title that will be combining the past and present in one game! The latest adventure of the blue hedgehog introduces two versions of the title character and two gameplay types, one based on the original physics based classic Sonic games for classic Sonic and the modern playstyle based on Dimps' Sonic Rush series that was first playable on console in SEGA's Sonic Unleashed used by modern Sonic. Something is wiping out all of existence and its upto classic Sonic and modern Sonic to team up and save the day. Unlike recent Sonic titles however, the game will feature a whole host of Sonic's friends and enemies found throughout the history of the franchise, ranging from Sonic's metal double Metal Sonic to classic Tails.

Sonic Generations will be powered by SEGA's very own Hedgehog Engine, which has been designed to make use of Global illumination as well as to deliever streaming data to match the speed of modern Sonic, the game promises to bring to life various stages from Sonic's history too with Chemical Plant, Planet Wisp and Rooftop Run already confirmed. Sonic Team will be hoping to use the well recieved Sonic Colours as a springboard to greater success and will be hoping this is an anniversary to remember for all Sonic fans.

There is a seperate version of Sonic Generations being designed for the Nintendo 3DS and developed by Dimps of Sonic Advance and Sonic Rush fame. Unlike the console version, Sonic Generations on the 3DS will be fully 2.5D and to entice people to double dip will, with the exception of Green Hill Zone, feature zones and bosses exclusively available for it. Confirmed also will be multiplayer for those wishing to compete with a friend.

Virtua Tennis 4
Platform: Playstation Vita
Development Team: AM3
Producer: Mie Kumagai
Genre: Tennis

One of the many launch titles for the Playstation Vita, Virtua Tennis 4 is looking to be one of the major sports title launched with the handheld. Not just being a simple port of Virtua Tennis 4, the game is looking to make use of the Playstation Vita's various control schemes, allowing players to play through the touchscreen or backpad but still allows the option to play it in the tradtional sense. There would also be the inclusion of a new minigame made exclusively for the handheld.

Super Monkey Ball Vita
Platform: Playstation Vita
Development Team: SEGA
Genre: Puzzle

SEGA's ever popular puzzle series Super Monkey Ball makes its way to the Playstation Vita in the latest entry to the series. [/thread over] :lol

But seriously, c'mon, Sega. You know we want it. We want Kamiya and his crew to make it happen. Make it happen.

Also, it's interesting that Syn Sophia/AKI won't be making Kurohyou 2. That honestly makes me a bit sad, because part of what made Black Panther so fun was because AKI's battle engine honestly made for possibly the most interesting fighting system the RGG/Yakuza series has ever seen.

If it's just going to be more traditional RGG-style battle system, that will be a sheer disappointment...

Really looking forward to Binary Domain. Didn't care for it until I heard it was using the dashing mechanic from Vanquish. Also Nagoshi does not dissapoint.

"Next week...in game magazines... RT @YariX0083: secretly making the HD Okami port for PS3/360? No wonder Bayo2 hasn't been announced yet :p"

"Next week...in game magazines... RT @huihuichunting: This SONY Press Conference is so boring....When can i heard ur news,i'm excepting."

Nice OP, shadiwulf!

Now excuse me as I cry in the fucking corner because of Sega's absolute-fucking-reluctancy to localize Valkyria Chronicles 3, let alone any sort of pipe-dream announcement for an HD Remasters for VC 2 and 3, or hell, a Vita port for VC3.

Will be cool to see Binary Domain*

Not looking forward to anything else because who knows if it'll come out over here!

A PSO2 worldwide release date and Bayonetta 2 announcement would be the Super Slam combo that wins this whole conference.

Oh God no. I hope it stays on one platform so they can focus their support soley on that platform. I want no chances of what happened to PSU 360 to happen to PSO 2.

I was intending to get his game for the PC, since my newer PC has been able to play just about anything lately at high settings.
