Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus |OT| Life Returns to Vita

Minori is actually one of my favorites, as far as opening and closing animations go. Decisive bite on the lollipop and forgetting her opening line. I can definitely see why people wouldn't like her though, but she and Katsuragi are the only ones I really find funny.

Her openings are the best part of her, made me chuckle a few times, but everything else is pretty meh. Doesn't help that I dislike her fighting style as well, which plays quite some part in my sympathies. Maybe she grows on me, couldn't stand Yagyu or Hibari at first either, but the games do a pretty good job to make everyone likeable with time, so I reserve my final judgement for when I finish all stories.

I forgot how weak some of the characters are in this game. Granted pretty much the entire cast has a strong Level 2 Ninpo but in terms of regular attacks some hitboxes are just ass.

Maybe after's all said and done I'll write up a tier list.

That's another part of what I don't like about Minori, I'm not sure if it's deliberate, but both her and the childish Hanzo student hit like a wet towel for plain ol' attacks. I find it frustrating how weak some of Shiki's attacks are too, I don't remember who I've been most effective as though. Also dislike when a character's "mash square" attacks either don't end in a launch move. Too many characters for me to (thus far) remember when to press triangle for everyone for a launch.

I definitely hate actually fighting as Minori. Doing her heart story right now and ugh. She just doesn't seem to have anything that makes up for her strong attack needing to be charged, slow attacks in general, and short range. When fighting Hikage in particular, she is awful. It took me a while to get used to Yozakura, actually, but she ridiculous now. If you figure out how to play Minori, let me know. Quick glance at GameFAQs shows her to be generally classified as the worst character gameplay wise and I can't say I disagree.

I love Yozakura so much. Her intro/outro animations are the most badass. The way the gauntlet jiggles/settles is just so awesome, with accompanying sound effects.

Yozakura is definitely one of the best new girls. Not enough to beat my bae Hikage for the top spot, but definitely in my top 5.

I agree with wyrdwad. Gessen's story has probably been the weakest so far. I still had fun with it and I'm loving the game overall. So much content.

Crimson Squad's story is the best IMHO, and I believe it's also the canonical version of events. Hope you enjoy it!

Having played through the Crimson Squad story, I agree, I think Hebijo's was the weakest, personally.
Crimson Squad > Gessen > Hanzo >>>>>>>>>> Hebijo

I have to immediately disagree with Gessen being better than Hanzo. This only makes me anxious for Hebijo though because Gessen is pretty bad.

Started with Hanzo, was bored after starting Burst first and doing the same, ended up finishing Gessen first. I think order matters the most in which of Hanzo/Gessen you think had the best story since they're mostly the same. Like, even more than the others.

I HATE these ninja turtle assholes. Completely ruin the pacing of the game. And they are EVERYWHERE in the Hebijo story.

I hate them too. That was an unwise choice on the dev's part.

Oh god, those turtle ninja enemies. I figured out you have to do single Triangle attacks. Don't try comboing with weak attacks.

I'm new to the game so it took me 10 hours or so to realize that Frantic totally wrecks everything. I went from taking 5+ mins to finish stages with trash mobs (those effin turtles) to consistently clearing in 30 seconds. Damn.

I give in:( how's the physical edition,is it worth it?

It's all of $10 more, comes with a shiny embossed box, OST and artbook (and is the only way to get a US cart). It would be hard for it not to. The art book doubles as a fairly extensive manual for each character and it's got nice reversible cover art (that still has the spine art!)

Getting close to finishing Hejibo and will be going to Shadow The Hedgehog Crimson Squad next

I just don't wanna wait for amazon to send a copy:(

I can certainly see why people wouldn't enjoy Hebijo, but I appreciate it having an actual significant story ark and not just complete fluff. The personal stories/flashbacks were usually handled quite well but the "we are rivals because lol whatevs" in both Hanzo and Gessen didn't do much for me.

It's very much like the "conquest ending" of Neptunia Mk2 in that regard. Certainly glad it's not canonical but's nice to see it branch out a bit and surprise the audience.

While I generally don't like Ryobi's attacks, goddamn that breach art is satisfying when someone's charging at you.

Hanzo, current favorite is ikaruga, I'm not the hugest fan of yagyu's squid fetish moves but she's not bad, asuka's decent too. I want to play more but people keep sitting next to me on this fucking train I'm on.

Aw I like Yagyu's squid attacks. Though it's kinda squicky she talks about kalamari all the time when she uses a squid to attack, seems...inconsiderate, to say the least.

As for the train thing, just loudly say "It's okay, she's 15" and everyone will move away from you

Yagyu's a good character though, her attacks do good damage, especially the whirlwind tentacle thing, I like her more than Hibari. I also like Katsuragi as well, though her spinning crotch kick is better left appreciated privately.
