Shin'en Games to release Fast Fusion on Switch 2 launch day

Sequel to Fast RMX, one of the very best arcade racers released on the Switch. Shin'en as some of you may know are no slouches when it comes to getting the best out of hardware too. 60fps @ 4k hdr in docked mode confirmed.

And for those of you unfamiliar with their last racer take a look, its one of those games I recommend to every Switch owner I know...

Shin'en are technical GOATS.
If their game design could match up to their technical prowess they would be fucking huge, shit Nintendo should buy them and teach them the ways.
Give them F-Zero to create

Shin'en the programming gods

Look at it go. 4K HDR/60 fps and looks insane. I see indirect lighting there on the rock in the center top. Could be baked but either way, they know their stuffs.

Easiest day 0 ever.

another cool screenshot but no high res version

so does this mean you need only 1 copy and still play with a friend online without needing a second copy? interesting

I thought I saw someone mentioning that it would only cost in the ballpark of $12-$15 aswell. Should be an easy buy once I get around to getting the sequel to Switch. 👍

Incredibly underrated devs.

Would love to see Nintendo hand them F-Zero to see what they could do with it.

They deserve to reach a much bigger audience

Probably like a demo/limited track cars type deal. Enticing you to buy the full game.

that's not how game sharing works on Switch 2. game sharing means the owner streams the game to other systems, similar to how the Wii U streamed the image to its GamePad

I'll be buying this before Mario Kart World. I cannot stress how good Fast RMX is, every racing fan should play it and support Shin'en into the bargain. These guys are so talented, I'm amazed they haven't been snapped up or handed the keys to a major franchise.

I hope shin'en gets f-zero and way forward well a 2D pixel art Metroid style game or another similar
Just snap them up Nintendo both of them they are great

I think gameplay wise way forward edge lit but technically Shin'en. their games look amazing. Look at the Touryst. That is an amazing game.

Amazing that you can share it, but I'm a little concernerd that the Joycon 1 and the Switch Pro controller aren't mentioned as a way to play it....
I wonder if when Nintendo says that the joycon 1 and pro controller 1 are compatible with the Switch 2 they mean that they are compatible with Switch 1 games on the Switch 2, and not with Switch 2 games...

It means 4 people can play online or local wireless multiplayer, even if only 1 person owns the game.

An official listing on the Nintendo eShop has revealed Fast Fusion will cost just £13.49 / €14.99

Also....

Fast Fusion will support performance of up to 4K/60fps. 120FPS will not be supported at launch, but Shin'en states that this will be possible with a future patch.

Sort of feel bad for them that the huge 100 million seller launch title is a racing game... but who knows, maybe it will get people excited about the genre and help sales. I'll probably fire it up before MK, excited for both.

Well, it's the cheaper option and also supports gameshare.
IIRC Fast Racing Neo and Fast RMX were also launch titles for Wii U and Switch.

Too many racers on NS2 with this Kirby and MKW. Will give It a chance, tho. Great prices. Never played one of these.

Definitely grabbing this instead of Mario Kart at launch (yes I know, crazy right). I'll be too busy with TOTK anyway (finally, own it but have yet to play it) so this will be a nice change of pace to Zelda.

RMX was a Switch launch title; Fast Racing Neo released late in the Wii U's life, in 2015.
Shinen's launch title for Wii U was Nano Assault Neo.

Comes out launch day, which usually is smart. But launch day has Mario Kart World and F-Zero GX via Gamecube. Not the most awesome timing but I'll see how people feel about it. Just not going to be a day 1 for me. The Switch version was technically impressive but just felt like it was missing something. Or maybe it was just too balls hard even on easy, IIRC.

Looks awesome, and it's cheap too. Easy purchase to keep on hand when you want a change of pace from Mario Kart.

Plus one of the few true launch exclusives, I always like to support those if they look good.

Does anyone else find it weird that Fast Fusion is cheaper at launch than Fast RMX was for Switch launch in March 2017? I clearly remember paying $19.99 for it. Eight years later for a 4K sequel and it's $5 cheaper? 🤔

What's going on here? Is it light on content in order to hit the launch day? That's what I'm assuming.

For reference the game is still $19.99 on Switch eShop. It find it very curious.

Same. BotW and Fast RMX were my launch day games. Perfect ends of the spectrum to complement each other.

Also, the developer released an actual trailer a few days ago. I'll link below for y'all. Far better than what we got from the Switch 2 Direct a few weeks ago (barely a few seconds).

Game looks siiiiiiick. Day One.

Fast rmx was my second switch game.
Man, 3 racers for me on launch day. Mario kart world, f-zero gx and now this. And the controller doesn't have analog triggers….

GDC was beginning of March and John Linneman claims that the small/medium sized developers he spoke to didn't have dev kits. It doesn't sound like major third parties have even had the kits for very long.

I mean. It's a Switch 2 exclusive. It's impossible they haven't had one for some time. Nintendo clearly prioritized giving them dev kits earlier than most any other external partners. John was talking about how many third parties wouldn't get dev kits til March/ April, thus games from them wouldn't be ready til Fall/Holiday time, even if a quick port. Shinen's certainly not in that same group.
