And again, no switch 2 native version (the S1 one looks shite due to the low res).

At this point, I seriously don't know what the fook Nintendo is doing, yet another game that I have to buy on my PS5...

Pre-ordered it as soon as I could to incentive more games like these to be made.
I just need a good Golden Axe, Altered Beast, e-Swat, Decapattack and Quackshot...

I am interested in this game and have special memories of playing the old games, but just noticed on Steam that even these types of games are doing that shit thing of charging more so you can play early. Fucking hell.

I didn't actually realise it was releasing so soon either, so that was a nice surprise at least.

The demo was super fun so I was in regardless.

Currently wrapping up another Hollow Knight playthrough. Shinobi will be a great palate cleanser before Silksong.

I've wanted this game since it was announced. The demo was fantastic. Glad it's reviewing well, but I'm not surprised considering the developer on this one.

Demo was good and made me want to get this day 1. I don't care for MC/Review #s, won't change my mind.

At this point Nintendo is just a machine for their exclusives. I don't see the point playing 3rd party games on there unless you don't have the other Consoles.

Thinking of getting the digital deluxe now. 10% off with PSPlus. What's another $10?

In what world is Ninja Gaiden Ragebound better than Shinobi Art of Vengeance?
IGN sucks.

I guess its a reminder that both of these reviews were written by two different people.

Yea I got the digital deluxe. Wife works overnight the next 3 days so it's an easy decision for me. Sometimes these extra early access days line up with my wife being at home so there's no point in buying it. I think DS2 was the last one that was like that.

As much as I enjoyed Ninja Gaiden it was *far* from a masterpiece, the demo for Shinobi was already more impressive so I expect big things in the full game, looks like it delivered, already had my physical copy pre-orderd, Year of the Ninja continues 🥷🏻

I'd grab this if it averages a 93 or higher Metascore. The demo had potential.
I can't tell if this is a joke or not. If not, this actually happens in real life? What does 93 even mean, what if it's 92? How does one play a full DEMO and not know to the point of a metacritic score having to decide at the very hard precise cutoff of a 93?

or you want to play it portably.

Got to set the bar somewhere, right? These aren't my types of games (used to love them as a kid) so I'll occasionally check out a highly regarded one.

The demo is not the same as a full game. The people reviewing the title have experienced the full game.

It's funny, I trashed Shinobi and praised Ragebound hard when both were announced. Art style and all. I flipped big time after playing the demos. Ragebound was cool but Shinobi was like yea that's the shit. Art style also doesn't translate well and looks really cool in motion.

Yea I played like 20 mins of the demo and turned it off I was already in. The art stye I loved right away though.

I'm glad I preordered this eons ago, I had a good feeling about it. Haven't touched the demo either, so I'm pretty excited. It's really cool seeing Sega bringing back older IPs and they're solid. Keep it up Sega!

Did they mention the length? I don't remember where I read it, but some previews mentioned 3–4 hours for the main story.
One review I watched stated the number of stages to be around a dozen. That seems like a good length to me for this sort of game. It took me over half an hour to initially beat the first level in the demo and I spent much longer on that going back for secrets and attempting high scores in Arcade Mode.

Problem is you are depending on reviews to make a decision for you instead of going by what you played in demo.
A demo isn't enough of an experience to fully assess a product.

I'm sure you've all watched a trailer to a movie and said "Eh, looks decent. I might see it."

Same concept applies here.
