Indeed I haven't played it and never claimed I did.You clearly haven't played it. It's a retelling of journey to the west, nothing more, nothing less. They explicitly told western reviewers/journalists to simply review the game and not bring up any irrelevant political commentary. The focus of the reviews should be the game, not the political landscape of the country it was made in.
Why is that too much to ask? Is that not the very same thing that we ask of journalists when reviewing games?
I agree, it should have no bearing on the rating of the game.
The devs themselves could never criticize their government without their offices getting raided or shut down. China is doing some very questionable things in the world and since the Chinese people can't openly complain about it some people feel the need to use popular things coming from China to highlight certain issues. What? The thumbnail brings in to focus the Chinese credit score system which has nothing to do with the game.
It shouldn't but I think BMW is the first AAA(IIRC) to come out of China so it's worthy of note.Where the game is from shouldn't matter and shouldn't be the focus of any discussion surrounding the game (yet here, it's made to be the focus, right from the title and the thumbnail). The only thing that matters is it's quality.
