Once a week unless my dog has been sleeping on the pillows or licking the sheet, then they are changed straight away.

Once a month, maybe. I don't get people who wash them once a week. What do you do in your bed that makes your sheets so dirty?

That sounds about right for me back in the day. Now it's pretty frequent, since my wife knows that I'm too lazy to do it myself.

Dude, you don't sleep in pajamas?

You uncivilized rube!!!

T-shirt and boxer shorts is all you need.

I've never really paid attention. Maybe once a month? Basically the sheets get washed whenever someone gets sick, or when I feel like they need a wash. We use dark colored sheets, sleep clothed, shower at night, etc etc, so washing them more than like once every three weeks isn't really needed.

bi weekly.

unless i fucked somebody and i know im going to sex someone else. I dont like sleeping with two different people on the same sheets.

Should be DAILY. It's basically underwear. Do you not wash your underwear, socks, or undershirts every single day?

All of you are fucking disgusting.

I stopped washing my clothes and showering. I honestly don't smell. It's true. No one has ever said anything to me

Once every week is ok if you sleep with somebody else.

Twice per month is also ok if you are single, but it may be pushing it if you share your bed and live in a warm place.

You'll probably won't notice the staining if you use sheets that are other than white, but it happens. They get dirty. Do you want to make an experiment? Buy some brightly white sheets (satin or satin-like are good for this) and notice how they quickly turn yellow over time at those areas with the most contact.

Wash (and change) your sheets frequently. Don't be gross.

the real question is how often you change sheets. You can have a whole bunch of bed sheets that you wash every so often or you only have a few that you wash

Washing your sheets every week seems extremely wasteful, ecologically speaking. Almost as bad as people washing their bath towels every day (pretty sure there was a thread about that recently).

In summer it used to be weekly but then I installed reverse cycle AC in my bedroom.
Otherwise every three or four weeks.
If I have to work weekends I don't get a chance to wash them. If it rains on the weekend then no. So sometimes it can be eight to ten weeks.
It's not really a problem as I often shower before going to bed too.

I think my sheets get changed every 2-4 weeks (I don't do it myself lol).

I wear full pajamas and shower before bed, so my sheets never smell even after 4-6 weeks.

It may be wasteful but it's necessary to stay cleeeean.

I have 4 different sheet sets that I rotate (weekly, obvs) through throughout the month, washing two of the sets every two weeks. It's more efficient that way.

Do you jack off straight into your sheets or something?

Seems like massive overkill.

My father has seborrheic dermatitis and I think I'm close to have it along with a quite sensitive skin. It's not overkill, I just wash them ever weekend. Clean sheets help A LOT in having a proper skin care to avoid black heads and such.

No way you have a causative link there.

I'll confess, I usually do mine once every couple of months

I work nights though, and often skip sleep or fall asleep on the sofa

I knew someone at University who did this. He claimed it didn't smell, but I couldn't stand to be in his room for more than a few minutes

Yup. I wash them every few months. I think last time I did was in January. They don't smell to me.

That's because we grow accustomed to our own smell.

This is also why we aren't always aware of our own smelly armpits, or why my girlfriend scolds me for not ventilating my home office often enough.

Edit:

There you go!

Wash yourselves before getting into bed and they'll never get dirty. Duh.

Not true.

Besides, you'll probably rub off a fuckton of skin cells unless you exfoliate. Coupled with humidity (either from sweat or not getting super dry after showering) it will result in colored, festering sheets.

I 'm one of those guys who never sweat and shower daily so once a month or so. Some people should change them twice a day though, cause they sweat and the smell of sweat is disgusting.

Every 5 or 6 weeks I guess? Once a week seems overkill unless you sweat too much or have a strong body odor. And I'd rather avoid the huge waste of water too. Not like sleeping in the same sheets a couple of weeks is going to turn me into some vile disgusting human being anyway. Some people here seems to think like that, and it makes me laugh.

Twice a day? Why? Do you sleep in your bed twice a day or something?

Not sure that I care enough to wash more than once a month. Seems like a colossal waste of water. I'm sure that will change when I marry but if it doesn't bother me then why do it?

EDIT: I do tend to wash my pillowcases often, though.

Sleeping in freshly laundered sheets is one of the little pleasures. We wash the sheets once a week, and normally alternate between 3 sets.

If i remember it right, this seems to fit. I treated them like Jeans. Change them when they really smell. Times have changed with a GF.

Weekly? My former self would roll on the floor laughing at this.

Otherwise i was a pretty clean guy (shower every morning, hot summer sometimes also in the evening)

Why would that be a waste of water? When I wash my sheets I put other stuff in the washing machine as well (towels, underwear and pretty much everything that needs to be washed at a high temperature)

About once a week, two at most.

Few things feel as good as getting out of the shower and going inside a washed set of bed sheets.

Ever week on Saturday night since I got married 4 years ago. I probably changed them rarely when I was single but now I love sleeping freshly cleaned sheets each week.
