What!? They still haven't finished ALTTP!? GOD, they're bad!
I and some guy helped them but even with us telling them where to go they'd go the wrong way and died a lot. They had a lot of trouble with the red goriyas in the Palace of Darkness. Misery Mire should be very entertaining if they ever get there... heck, Ice Palace will be great.

Oh that was you?
They are completely ignoring your directions or just too stupid to understand.
I can't say much though. I never actually finished LTTP.

I've lost count of how many times I've beaten it and I still have trouble sometimes, mostly because of my horrible memory.

I'm ArgorokX

it's not an easy game. They aren't even at the really hard parts yet; ice palace, misery mire, turtle rock, Ganon's tower... I don't think they'll finish.

Still fun to watch

They have to finish. they arep laying EVERY Zelda game continuously until the release of Skyward Sword. They already played through Zelda 1 and 2 fairly successfully. They died a huge number of times so far though. about 30 per game for the first two games and over a hundred in this one.

I think the only question worth asking is: Is Skyward Sword the best Zelda game ever or the best game ever?

My favourite Zelda, I could be going through that game like nothing.
The other guy was wanting to teach them sequence break techniques like a bomb jump, but they're having enough trouble with just walking :p

Yeah. don't confuse these guys or they'll never get to OOT.
THey have to get through so many game still.
They have like 7 days left to go though.

Delaying their review release is actually a pretty smart move (whether intended or not). They'll surely get more visits by releasing it a couple days later instead of releasing it at the same time as two dozen others.

It sure is, I must have visited GT 7 times in the last three hours.

How on Earth did they beat Zelda 2? Did they start this thing a year ago? :p

I was the one that talked them into doing Skull Wood swordless, lol. Are they still there? I'm on my phone.

if they think a 4/5 is a 90, then i believe they can custom pick their scores

When you've got close to a hundred scores per game, who's gonna bother looking for mistakes? (aside from losers like me?) Seems pretty shady.

I dont know. I fell asleep during that one. But you can see the total playtime, which is just over 17.5 hours so far. They beat the first two within ten hours or somewhere around there and have been fucking around with this one ever since.

I think this list pretty much covers most of the reviews released so far:

Giantbomb: 4/5
G4TV: 4/5
1UP: B+
Jeuxactu: 16/20
IGN
GamePro: 4/5
Gameblog: 4/5
Gamekult: 8/10
Kotaku: Yes (lol)

edit: Average is about 93.3%
. Too lazy to double check.

I think Plasmas will be able to handle Skyward Sword better. I'm not sure why, just my hunch.

Also just a few more days until I have it. So close to sweet victory:

You are damn right, i have my wii hooked to a 42" 720p samsung plasma (actually the native res is 1360x768) through component cables and every game looks great, except for Smash Bros Brawl, i just turn down the sharpness to a level where it looks like anti aliasing, i find that if i turn it all the way down, it looks like i smeared vaseline on the screen... Anyway, what im trying to say is that i can't wait to play this game!

I have a Wii on 42" Samsung plasma, same res. And yeah, it looks considerably better than LCDs.

When I have my Wii on my Kuro it gets rough as far as jaggies are concerned.

I have sharpness at 0 because I mostly watch HD stuff on it. The Wii looks blurry, of course, but I prefer that to the alternative.

Component cables are key to get a good picture regardless of any other circumstances.

huh? Kiki?

It looks like these guys did skip Zelda 2 after the first dungeon because it kept sending them back to the beginning. Hopefully no skipping from this point on.
Can't wait till they finish this and get to OOT.

I think what a Plasma will excel at it is really giving it that painted look that Miyamoto was talking about. LCD or LED-LCD don't work right, the colors are often bright but don't feel natural.

TP is one of the few games that I couldn't play on an HDTV; jaggies were just too terrible. I don't mind for most Wii games, but TP and NMH were just ridiculous; but they look great on a CRT, I just wish I could see the game in widescreen.

Man some of you guys are too hung up on the jaggies. I play my Wii games on a friggin projector screen that's 2m wide. Zelda is just as cool.

Anecdotal evidence, but I have very vivid memories of the first time I ever played the Wii in the summer of 2006. The very first experience was Mario Galaxy on a gigantic Pioneer plasma. I was blown away by the graphics, even in that early state and even compared to the 360 games that were out at the time. Then I went and played some other games on smaller LCD screens and they ALL looked like butt.

Some butts look awesome.

Wii on my Pioneer Kuro looks great color-wise, but it's pretty jaggy if you sit up close. Still, that's how I played Mario Galaxy and I agree. It's one of the most spectacular visual feasts this generation.

Twilight Princess though looked ugly on it, and Metroid Prime Corruption looked so awful and vaseline-smeary I had to set it up on an SDTV after the intro stage. Couldn't stand it.

Mario galaxy was released nov 2007 :D

Wii games look great on my 50" Samsung plasma from a proper distance. Anything, even 1080p looks jagged if you sit too close. From 10' back where my couch is, you can obviously tell its not HD but it's never distractingly jagged or blurry looking.

Alright, back home for the night.

Alternated off and on with buddy.

We got about 4 hours in, took our time.

One thing is...the game starts sllllloooooooooooooowwwwww. It will suck to replay just like TP does. The graphics are great, the music is great in the bigger areas, but in the dungeons and the ground areas it's very forgettable.

So much talking. My God...just let me do my thing. I don't want to be interrupted by your slow moving text so much.

Gah! One of my biggest gaming pet peeves. If Dragon Warrior/Quest had the option to choose your text speed in 1986 we can surely implement it today.

I tried replaying Xenogears about a year. The sloooooow as molasses in January text speed killed it dead. Just unacceptable.

But TP you can kinda just mash the A button through a lot of it, so I think SS would be similar.

Absolutely, I never understood why plodding text speed is something the developer doesn't allow each individual to speed up so they can read at their natural pace.

Sometimes text is synced with cutscenes. You can't progress the text until a particular movement or camera change has occurred. Zelda has had this issue historically.
