So, a hooker propositioned me for $2 last night...

Did she charge by the inch?

I went to Memphis to hang out with some friends last night (I live in Jonesboro, about an hour away) and we hit up a few bars. As the night was coming to an end, I started to walk back to my car by myself. A very haggered and worn looking woman was standing on the corner near where I parked. As I got closer to her, she came up to me and said something a long the lines of "Hey baby, you looking for fun?", I can't remember the exact words. Of course I had no intention of picking up this tramp, but I was slightly tipsy and entertained, so for the hell of it I asked how much and she responded "$2".

I almost lost my shit, I had to contain myself because I thought I might accidentally puke on her from laughing so hard. I gave her a hardy "No Thank you" and made my way back to my car, imagining in my head the amount of STD's this woman had to have by charging someone 2 bucks. I've heard jokes about it but I never thought I'd meet a $2 hoe in the flesh. Talk about taking desperation to a whole new level.....

Needless to say, that made my night.

Yes, laugh at someone for prostituting herself out and living on $2 payments.

What the fuck.

That reminds me:

Late one night, not too long ago, in the men's room of a Philadelphia train station, a man, dressed as a woman, said to me, "I'll suck your dick for a quarter."

Good times.

Somewhat surprised you didn't tell her to "get a fucking job" before setting her on fire.

This is one of the weirdest thread backfires I've ever seen. Apparently the OP should've either had sex with a STD vending machine for $2. been robbed, and then he would still have to drive home tipsy.

I don't condone drunk driving, being I command of a two ton vehicle makes you responsible for a lot of shit, but why harp on OP for this fact?

EDIT: Was something taken out of the original OP?

Also, I don't think being "slightly tipsy" is the term if you were worried you "might accidentally puke on her from laughing so hard."

I believe wasted is the term you were looking for.

How is this a laughing matter? Damn, this is depressing as hell. How do you not even feel the slightest bit of empathy or at least some level of basic sadness for a fellow human?

Pretty much disgusted by all of this, and generally not one to judge.

OP should have:

1. Not laughed at the depressing state of another human being. No one is telling him to take her up on it.

2. Should have thought about transportation before he started drinking like a capable adult. People will harp on this not because it endangers the OP, but it endangers anyone who happens to be driving that night.

Yeah, like I said in my post above- its a really, really sad situation- and its hard to imagine how you wouldn't feel some sort of empathy, or at least just sadness at the whole situation. And that isn't even touching on the drunk driving.

I'm not familiar at all with slang, but couldn't it mean $2 something? like $200 maybe? you can get $2 just by begging, seems awfully cheap.
