So I'm getting vaccinated tomorrow...

Am I doing the right thing...protecting myself and society as a whole?

or have I simply drunk the cool aid and fell right into the governments plan to inject microchips or cancer or something inside of me?

What are your thoughts?

Congratulations. I don't think it needs to be said that you're doing the right thing. I get mine in a couple of weeks and I abhor the delay.

I've spent my whole life travelling, and I always got a raft of vaccinations before every trip, I never caught the diseases I was at risk of, and I never had any side effects. I'm talking dozens of vaccinations over a 20 year period. well maybe a side effect is my enormous wang teehee To be honest, anyone trying to paint vaccinations as an iffy, personal-choice kinda thing, as some kind of government control system, feel like only a farteenth away from flat earther, imo.

Look at the stats. See the Percentage of unvaccinated deaths Vs percentage of vaccinates deaths. Then weigh that against the chance of becoming a zombie.

In all seriousness, you are absolutely doing the correct thing.

Getting vaccinated is a personal decision just like any other medical decision. As such don't make it on the basis because you're feeling pressure from others, do it for yourself and for your family cause that is what matters.

Most people constantly droning on about how much they care about people getting vaccinated don't give a flying fuck anymore about those same people dying of any other cause, it's just covid is the hot topic right now so the vaccine is giving a lot of people a soap box to stand on to feel morally superior to those who may choose not to get vaccinated.

If it's any consolation me and my wife both work in the medical field and got vaccinated asap and had very little side effects and would do it again in a heart beat. But we also ignore all the bullshit that gets spewed daily from both sides of the political isle as well as our amazingly insightful media.

No you won't get cancer or turn into a zombie from a damned vaccine against something that's basicly a pumped up flu.

Also better late than never.

I'm vaccinated but I'm not buying any of this booster shot nonsense which I'm sure will start cropping up.

I lost a lot of faith in people over the last year and I'm sure at least in my country they will do literally anything they're told without question now.

Many “Whelps”! Handle It!
Outside of lurking forums and having a Facebook account strictly for Oculus Quest and nothing else I havent had a social media presence in over a decade. I decided that was the best choice for my mental health and I have zero regrets about it

It annoyed me that I had to create a fake Facebook account for my Quest. Getting notifications from people becoming my friend and such. I'm like I don't care, my "name" on that isn't really Big D. McGee and I only use this thing once every few weeks.

Why so much deal with getting vaccinated? Is not common to vaccine in America? I got plenty of vaccine as a child , and my son get a bunch every month ( he is only one year old). And as we travel from japan to Taiwan he get more vaccines than others and I’m happy with that.

I wish I could get third shot for corona 🤷‍♂️

I want to sue Pfizer. I got the vaccine and I'm not magnetic. I never got my power of magnetism, I never got the iron tager and i can't suck quarters out of the vending machine. 1/10 would not jab again.

I can't do it at all, even before the vaccine :messenger_crying:

I took J&J almost 2 months ago and live, I felt not so great for one day but that was it...

you're doing the right thing.

if you don't trust the government you can do research and you'll find lots of scientific proof that shows how safe/effective it is. that's if you trust scientists....if you don't then i don't think there's any convincing you.

but you're getting it so well done. being vaccinated is cool. i don't have any time for people who don't want it and don't have a perfectly good reason not to get it. if you can't get it cause you have a health condition then fine but if you don't want it cause 5g, magnets, mind control, population control, etc then fuck you :)

hahaha

well you know, i couldnt' bounce my eyebrow until i tried real hard for a long time, come to think of it i couldn't do a bunch of split finger gestures until i tried real hard for a long time.. maybe u just gotta try... you know a lot of people teach themselves to be ambidextrous...

you know what might also be hard? touch your fingers in front of your face, then rotate them in circles - one moving away from you, one moving towards you - keep them going in opposite directions in perfect cricles, meeting up at the top of the circles each time... yeah that was a nice showoff trick back when i taught in japanese primary schools

It's mostly that both sides decided that they were going to politicize everything Covid-19 related that it's made a lot of people jaded and suspicious.(I don't want to go into that though since we'd only implode this thread.)
