hahaha

well you know, i couldnt' bounce my eyebrow until i tried real hard for a long time, come to think of it i couldn't do a bunch of split finger gestures until i tried real hard for a long time.. maybe u just gotta try... you know a lot of people teach themselves to be ambidextrous...

you know what might also be hard? touch your fingers in front of your face, then rotate them in circles - one moving away from you, one moving towards you - keep them going in opposite directions in perfect cricles, meeting up at the top of the circles each time... yeah that was a nice showoff trick back when i taught in japanese primary schools
I wonder if it's like rolling your tongue. When I was a kid they told us that being able to roll your tongue was genetic and some people couldn't do it. Turns out it's apparently not and some can't do it because they haven't practiced enough.

Am I doing the right thing...protecting myself and society as a whole?

or have I simply drunk the cool aid and fell right into the governments plan to inject microchips or cancer or something inside of me?

What are your thoughts?

You are doing the right thing. The majority of naysayers are people who believe what they want to believe. Vaccinations have helped humanity against viruses for years now - decades.

"But they are constantly trying to have me vaccinated! There's must be some ulterior motive!!!"

Well, they are constantly trying to have put your seatbelt on when you are driving. They're not doing it in order to have you tied up or imprisoned. They're doing it to keep you safe from launching out of your car when you have the misfortune to crash.

Same thing with corona. Vaccination keeps lower the number of people who go to the ICU, and as a result lessens the chances of overloading a country's health system.

Which is why it saddens me to see a global pandemic becoming a political hill people and celebrities are willing to die on.

I had covid19 back in January 2020 for seven weeks and it was hands down the worst experience of my life so far. I also had long covid affecting my breathing for months! Take the vaccine! I've had my two shots of Astra Zeneca and the only side effects were a dead arm and fatigue for a week.

You got that same energy for smokers and obese people? Standing outside a convenience store or a McDonalds telling people they are overloading the health system?

This is "Bad Aids" in real life.

You make it sound like I started a vaccination campaign.

He asked a question, I answered it.

Just pointing out the "Worthiness" argument of getting healthcare that seems to be a gotcha moment for militant pro vaxers this week.

I got fucked up by the Moderna jab, inflamed heart, irregular heart beat etc; had to stay in A&E and basically not move for 4 days so I didn't have a stroke or heart-attack. Couldn't sit up without being out of breath so just lied on my side playing Nintendo Switch visual novels all day, still feel like shit and can barely move without being out of breath a week later.

But, if the worst symptom of the dodgiest vaccine couldn't kill a lazy shit like me, you have nothing to worry about.

(But if I stop posting randomly one-day you all know why)

Have fun

but what if the conspiracy theorist end up being right?

and we all turn into zombies in 7 months?

and theres nothing left but the unvaccinated fighting off hordes of the living dead?

Then they will die of Rona or the coughs will attract the zombies.

Good luck with that.

Still waiting for my second Pfizer shot.

I can't do it at all, even before the vaccine :messenger_crying:

I took J&J almost 2 months ago and live, I felt not so great for one day but that was it...
I got some much needed sleep that next day since it knocked me hard on my ass. After that, everything has been great, and we have a bunch of new cases popping up at work, so far I’ve been in the clear.

Got a second dose of the P. I did it for me. Recently received an organ transplant and taking immunosuppressants. I got kids in school so that's that.

Anyone elses vax status in my family and social circle isn't my business unless they make it known to me.

Get it, I guess.

Interestingly, the GPS tracker that will be injected into you has just been activated so it's working ready for your appointment tomorrow.

Just a FYI.

Am I doing the right thing?... Really? Sure go roll an admittedly odds in your favour dice that you'll get covid and pull through or suffer mild symptoms or be like all the other idiotic anti vax cunts taking up ICU beds wishing they'd taken the vacinne right before kicking the bucket.

It's 2 fucking jabs on the arm, big deal

My first contribution to this thread wasn't particularly helpful (more of sucking up to the higher beings) so allow me this one post; I, like many others, caught Covid after having my first jab, which was the AZ vaccine. I felt like utter shite for a fortnight, and still don't feel 100% even now, but I would still urge anyone and everyone to go ahead and get vaccinated. Don't listen to any of the anti-vaxxers or COVID-deniers - the threat is very much real, but can be easily silence by a one-second jab. You're making the right decision.

Had two Pfizer jabs, aside from a sore arm the next day (like a tiny pinch), I report no adverse effects.

Worth it for not dying of covid and reducing your own transmission to loved ones etc.

Nobody I know had adverse affects aside from 1 person who plastered the internet with false horror stories to thousands of followers after each jab - in order to get an extra 2 weeks off work.

There are a lot of selfish people out there using side effects for their own ends. Don't let cunts put you off. They literally get thrilled risking you and your loved ones lives for a like.

Outside of lurking forums and having a Facebook account strictly for Oculus Quest and nothing else I havent had a social media presence in over a decade. I decided that was the best choice for my mental health and I have zero regrets about it
Same. All it took for me was COVID lockdowns, BLM riots, and a walking penis wrinkle winning the presidency to finally decide to get off of social media forever. Literally deleted all of my accounts in January and haven’t looked back. And no one wonders why I never post anything any more which is a bonus. Feels good to say, “Nope.” when someone asks me if I saw that thing they posted Facebook.

I wish I did what you did and got off a decade earlier.

Man, you folks in the West overthink this really hard at times huh.

I've been fully vaccinated for weeks, and I'm doing fine if your concern is health.

Do I trust its efficacy? No, not entirely since it was made in a rush. But it's better than none.

It's a shame we're politicising something such as a vaccine, but I dont blame anyone who feels the need to say no based on how incredibly deafening the call to get vaccinated has been.

Its loud, its obnoxious, and it sounds very much like your finger pointed to do it.

But millions have gotten vaccinated by now, and I'd argue the negative effects of the vaccine are far too minuscule on a scale of millions of vaccinated people.

If anything, I'd like to hear why the big push against it besides the dictator-ish approach some governments take in regards to it.

Enjoy your increased erections!
(Real side effect reported in VAERS)
In 2004, anesthesiologist James Laidler submitted an alarming report to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). Laidler wrote that after he got his annual influenza vaccine, his muscles began to grow in size, his skin became green, and he turned into the Incredible Hulk.

I'm double vaccinated with AZ, felt crap after first jab fine after my second.

But I can totally understand people's hesitation and concerns . The vaccine isn't 100% safe, and although rare people are experiencing all kinds of problems from clotting causing strokes, heart attacks and even dying.

I don't believe we should pressure people or make them feel guilty for not wanting to get vaccinated. You may not agree with their decision but you have to respect their rights to refuse it whilst that risk exists.

By the sounds of it some people would advocate forcibly injecting people for the greater good and all that! We all want to get back to a pre-covid world but not at the expense of our humanity.

My dad's side has a family history of heart disease and arrhythmia. I'm very concerned about the possibility of heart damage from the side effects.

But I'm more concerned about the authoritarians trying to force everybody into taking it, with complete disregard for one's bodily agency and/or possible medical issues.

For sure you son of a bitch

Joining the rest of us little bastards up in this whore house is the place to be.

Just do it.

That's what I would say if I got the cooter vaccine but I haven't yet.

Got my 2nd vaccination this week, had mild side effects, but feeling all the better for it. I know I'm not completely protected but the way I see it is we need vaccinations if we hope to have concerts and music festivals happen again. God, I miss the most pit...

I'm getting my first shot Monday, been really hesitant to getting it. But I don't want to be part of the problem so I'm just gonna get it over with.
It's a big decision to make. I researched for a solid 5 weeks before deciding that it was the right decision

Take care of yourself by drinking plenty of water, eating well, and going to bed at a decent time and the symptoms wont last long at all. Some don't even have symptoms after their shots. But if you do feel the vaccine shot working up a fever or anything, that's natural and you can just take something like flu medicine syrup. That will make it much easier on yourself to get quality rest

I took a bunch of nutritional yeast the day before, day of, and weeks after the shot just to make sure I was loaded up on B-vitamins. And I took flu medicine syrup w/ elderberries to help the immune system battle the spiked proteins created from the vaccine. If I could go back in time, I would have taken that medicine as soon as it started to get dark on the day I got the vaccine, then maybe one more time a couple hours later, then once in the morning, and two hours after that. Would pretty much guarantee the immune system has what it needs to greatly reduce any symptoms. That's me at least

The symptoms are caused by the immune system doing it's job. Boosting your immune system, at best would have no effect and would more likely make symptoms worse. Your immune system is just detecting the spike protein as foreign and neutralizing it. It fights an infection with a virus or bacteria because they can multiply and overwhelm the immune system, a single protein cannot.
But being in good health, hydrated will help.

Taking the flu medicine helped me greatly. The symptoms were kind of intense during the night for me personally. The fever was light, but I was restless that entire night and didn’t get quality rest until the morning when I said fuck it I gotta drink some of this medicine and sleep. The only worrisome bit was that I could tell that my gut, and the immune system was REALLY working hard to do its thing and I felt it like that for a good hour of the night. At one point I was worried as fuck because like I said, the organs felt like they were being affected or something. Never felt that kind of discomfort before. Most of the organs within the core or near the stomach felt like they battling hard versus the vaccine to reach some kind of equilibrium

I couldn’t tell you the complicated science of the immune system and its course but I can say that the medicine is what I wish I would have taken before getting rest that night. It helped immensely 18 hrs after the vaccine shot, and I think it would have helped the same amount 11 hrs after the shot had I taken it before resting for the night

Getting my second shot on Friday. Just hoping I don't feel like utter shirt. First shot I had no reaction to at all but heard the second Pfizer is the one that can be a bit shit.

All joking aside I get my second Moderna shot Monday, I was delayed due to a medical crisis involving infection earlier this year, will be good to be fully vaccinated soon. Shot is scheduled for noon and just took the rest of the day off hearing of some stories of side effects, hopefully be ready to go back to work Tues.

You are neither doing a good thing or a bad thing. You are simply doing a thing. You will not grow a third arm or anything crazy, and you will either have no symptoms or diminished symptoms if you come into close contact with Covid.

I’ve gotten Covid twice at this point, once April of last year with I assume the OG strain, and a month ago with what I assume is Covid. April’s felt like a mild flu with the added fun of easily being out of breath. This one a month ago was easier than any cold I can remember but for this lingering loss of taste and smell.

Not taking the vaccine because there is no real value add for me at this point, but I encourage anyone who is still concerned about Covid or who is old to get it. It gives you a pass to stop living in fear.

The one thing I will say is people need to stop making the vax/no vax thing an issue of altruism vs selfishness. The vaccine seems to do little to nothing with regards to slowing the spread but it is highly effective at keeping hospital beds empty.
