So... Returnal releases tomorrow on PC. Who's getting it?

If I didn't have a fuck ton of other shit to play then I would. I will catch it on sale to play it again.

Yeah, doesn't the PS5 version run at native 1080 reconstructed to 4k?

Game still looked great. Great HDR and colors and particle effects but on PC at 4k, this game is going to look spectacular.

Yes. Uses checkerboard and temporal reconstruction. The game is way too blurry if you're using a big screen.

Although I understand your point perfectly, as I also like to be fully immersed, playing a female character is half the fun becuase she is what im not....its a great way to try something different...i prefer to be totally someone else in these games i dont have to be boring old me. In fact I normally use female characters in most RPG 's now as im tired of doingthe same old muscly man stereotype. In addition Housemarque knocked it out ofthe park as far as immersion with the story and the haptics, everything was extremely immersive and this was the most immersive ive every got in a game since demons souls in 2009.

So yes, basedon the abpve i will be double dipping this mostly in the hopes of improved graphics and saveability. I want to be able to save different run types and build characters that specialize in certain weapons. One file for plat and one file for tower wasnt good enough on ps5 :P

finally, i have been instructed to not pre-order by the speed run community on the fear that they think the items adn weapons bonuses willinterfere with fresh files. I got the pre-order bonis with ps5 and fresh file starts didnt get the bonuses regardless, so I am hopeful it isnt an issue. THat said i cancelled my pre-order just in case. I relly want the new suits though and as far as i can tell you dont have to pre-order for those, just link your steam account to psn which I think i have already done years ago, Can anyone here share any insight on teh pre-order fiasco and what i need to do to ensure i get teh suits?

From what I've heard its a bullet hell game, never been a fan of them. So nothing against this game, but I'm probably going to pass. Free demo and change my mind.
 
Plat on PS5 but definitely looking forward to playing with kb/m. Not day 1 but definitely down the line some. Hope it does well as it's one of the best games of the new generation.

Day 1 soon as a big booty mod pops up.

Never been a fan of bullet hell or rogue lite games. In fact I loathe them and actively avoid those types of games.

Returnal is the best game I've played in a long, long time.

I'm kinda puzzled over this. Do you not watch "Fargo" or "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" because the main character is not a "trending on jailbait waifu"? If so, you're missing a lot.

(And for the record, in Returnal you're mostly be ogling Selene's ass. Which, while dated according to some metrics, is still very much firm and moves as smoothly as you'd want it to.)
 
I'm okay with the PS5 version. Will probably get PC version at the end of the year or at some point on sale. There's just way too much new releases coming soon to get the game which I've played and finished multiple times on the PS5.

I think he is encouraging people to get the game so they continue to release PC games.

As someone who primarily plays on the PC I'm happy they're releasing PC games - I too hope they continue to release them.

I wonder how Uncharted Collection did.

No Forbidden West release date or rumours.
No Ratchet and Clank Release date or rumours.
GT7 confirmed to not have a PC version in development.
PS5 has relaunched essentially with active and available stock which would suggest they will be funnelling people towards their hardware and services.

The only concrete info on upcoming games is live service stuff will release day and date - mostly for player base.

I hope more come but it doesnt seem likely.

I have no idea if I will enjoy it since I generally dislike losing progress and having to replay stuff. So I will probably wait for a deep sale.

And with TLOU, I already finished it three times. So again, deep sale.

Now if Sony ports TLOU2 and Tsushima, I will get those day one.

Depends on the profitability of these games sales on PC.

If the PC porting cost and/or the opportunity cost for PS5 users migrating to PC is > the revenue of PS games sales on PC, they will stop. If the ROI is positive, they will keep releasing those games on PC.

Bought it. Have to wait for a couple of hours for my key, though. I think it'll launch tonight here in the EU, but I don't know. Don't have PS5 (yet), but am very interested in this game. Although, I can only run it on minimum according the specs, I think. I've got a i5-4690K/ GTX 1060 6GB.
 
I have been waiting for this one but releasing right after Harry Potter is bad timing for me. I will eventually though. Still waiting for Ghosts of Sushi too...

I wish they would try something like FSR2 or something... That blurry-ness is pretty much the only thing I would complain with that game, otherwise the game is great :pie_eyeroll:

I don't have faith that Bethesda is capable of writing story and characters worth a damn. Bioware and Bethesda aren't even in the same league.
 
day 1, but too bad sony sent it to die..dead space remake, hogwarts, wild hearts, that sekiro wo long game....fuck man. from drought to drowning in games. i will support all sony games coming to pc, returnal is like the perfect fit for pc crowd, but its just gonna be DOA...hopefully port is good and word of mouth can spread. last of us wont sell well on pc either.

lol come on man, this is just such an ignorant post. they have given all the clues necessary to say they will release their games on pc eventually. they want that money. just cause we have no dates confirmed doesnt mean they aint coming. you actually thougt those messages when ps5 was revealed that said CAPTURED ON PC were fake? they just removed them....but they coming.

Fargo is a masterpiece and has tons, tons of things going for it. Returnal does not have that many things going for it

You have a good point about Selene's ass, I'll give you that
