Yep, this for me too. It was such a ridiculous concept that I had to continuously rub my eyes in disbelief throughout the whole game. It's like all of those jokie comments I would make about a realistic MAT00R!!! sonic, made into reality.

It's such ridiculous, fanfic garbage that you just can't stop laughing throughout!

Yep! And its so over the top and hammy.
" I NEVER KNEW THIS BABY COULD FLY" when hes on some floating ruins is a particular favorite line of mine.

The whole thing looking and animating like a subpar Dreamcast game just makes it even better.

The best part about Shadow is when you start the game and it asks you to make a save file for the first time and you press A, it makes a gun shot noise.

If you dont laugh your ass off at that, then maybe I can see how you might see it as worse than 06.

I was laughing so much at that. I would never thought a fucking menu sound effect of all things would make me laugh.

Oh yeah, I definitely started laughing at that.

Shadow (the game) is more hilarious than anything else. I hate Shadow the character, though. His gameplay type makes the game part of the game insufferable. The cutscenes are so OMG DARK AND SERIOUS that they're hilarious as a result.

EDIT: Okay, what's the GAF avatar trend now?

Just go for it, helps to get over it. Worst that could happen is you get some creepy PMs. Best? You get complimented in the thread/elsewhere.

LOL, I'm not that photogenic to begin with.

Tell ya what... if we have baby pic/toddler pic month, I'll jump in then. I have a pretty good one with me high-fiving a Ninja Turtle-- well, a dude in a Ninja Turtle costume.

Anyway, to get back on topic... Apparently someone put the Time Eater into Sonic Adventure? Its walking animation, lol.

And then there's this "lulwat" mod replacing Classic and Modern Sonic in Generations with Evil Sonic and Scourge.

I mean, it fits I guess, but lulwat


And Time Eater's Quest is pretty hilarious

Or, really, next time Sega wants to port Sonic Adventure to a new platform, just remake the entire game in Sonic Generations and release that for $20.

I'm surprised they havent announced any other dlc plans. Well done era packs (actual new zones) would be amazing. Dont have to run it into the ground, just do one per main series game.

How much DLC was there for Unleashed? Just one pack, right?

I think they'd probably rather focus on the next game than support one post-release. =\

The interesting thing about the unleashed dlc is that the shadows and lighting were slightly different in the dlc packs, shadows being most obvious.

I also loved how some of the stages used the unused areas from the main levels in the game people found, why is there not many unused areas in generations? guess they learned to not waste time :p

Just beat the game. I think part of the problem I had with it was that I just wasn't good with the post-genesis Sonic stuff (like knowing when to boost/air dash) and I didn't even understand some of the mechanics, like how boosting near Rings will let you pick them up automatically.

Once I figured that stuff out I started to enjoy it again. Some of the bosses took some patience to figure out how to even beat them.

But yeah, I think its overall the best Sonic game I've played seeing that I actually finished it. (I've beaten the Sonic 1,2,3 but only with Saved States).

Time Eater.

Usually the bosses give some indication as to when they can be damaged, or what attacks leave them open, but I'm not getting any hints from the game during this battle.

Hold boost. Dodge attacks. Collect rings.

That's it. It's terrible.

Worst thing in the entire game. It should have been cut. What a way to leave a bad taste in ones mouth after finishing the game.

The whole battle is basically trying to keep my ring count up until some timer runs out?

Unrelated question about Chaos Emeralds:
Do I need only the chaos emeralds to use Super Sonic in the other stages, or do I also need to collect all the red coins?

No need to use attack. You just evnentually get closer and closer and auto-attack.

You buy Super Sonic from the skill shop. 5000pts IIRC.

You get Super Sonic just by beating the game, actually. Time Eater is just boost and dodge though, like you said.

Did we get any word about the Casino Night Zone DLC? It's a week late and I figured they delayed it because of the sale, but still nothing.
