Not more than Sonic Adventure 1.

EDIT: Remember QQ to search for weapons and armor that aren't greyed out, that means you can equip them.
Not more than Sonic Adventure 1.
Up there with Ware, Uematsu, Yoko and a few others I can't remember right now.
Have I not been saying this for two years now? Haha.
Not more than Sonic Adventure 1.
SA1 is 100% adventure. What makes it 40%??
Shoji Meguro
I got hooked on Shoji Meguro a few years into university. I like his guitar, electronic, pop and jazz tracks. It was a breath of fresh air to me. I love how his themes can be upbeat and poppy, calm and jazzy, fast-paced and chaotic, head-banging, gentle and atmospheric or others. It just seems like the guy has command over many different genres and can pull any card of his deck and work with it. And the result ends up being great and/or listenable, no matter what.
Mist (PMLB Ver)
Ikebukuro
Signs of Love
Battle for Survival
Epic Battle
Master of Tartarus
Roux
Lost
Stray Sheep
Lights of Life
Masashi Hamauzu
I imported Sigma Harmonics and could not believe the sound coming out of my DS speakers. I had to know who this was. I looked it up and was happy to hear it was Hamauzu. I liked this tracks on the FFX OST and Unlimited SaGa. I decided to seek out more of his repertoire, and I’m constantly surprised and content with what I hear from him. He’s not only great at classical, ambient and electronic stuff, but when he expands into different genres, they’re generally well-composed and very pleasing to the ear.
Dust to Dust
Feldschlacht I
A Broken Wonder
Knight of the Goddess
Heartening "Dance of the Cornered Rat"
Battle Theme I
Fight for Justice
Fight Tune "Girl Named Shelke"
Besaid Island
Miki Higashino
The composer of Gradius, Salamander and Genso Suikoden, and For me, part of Genso Suikoden was Miki Higashino. It wasn’t only the games’ narratives, but the soundscape, which impacted the overall strength of certain scenes, making them even more memorable than they would be on their own. The melodies are catchy, heartfelt, tense, silly, or... how should I put this... “comfortable”? They’re generally quite beautiful, and even moreso when arranged.
Into a World of Illusions
Reminiscence
Gothic Neclord (Suikogaiden Vol 1)
Gradius Arcade OST
Forgotten Days (Celtic Ver)
The Chase
Beautiful Morning
Yoshitaka Hirota
Hirota hasn’t gotten a lot of solo composition work since Shadow Hearts closed shop (he mostly does arrangements now). He not only defined Shadow Hearts’s soundscape, but its mood, atmosphere and settings with his incredible scores (with a little help from Mitsuda and other composers (most notably Tomoko Imoto on SH3’s OST). With scores including pieces ranging from gentle acoustic pieces, quick electronic pieces and beautiful sombre melodies, it’s impossible for me to ignore him and these soundtracks. I eagerly await the day when he can compose another album again.
Plains ~ Sphere -qu-
Decisive Battle ~ Imbroglio
Midboss II ~ Demon's Gig
The Fate ~ Cluster Amaryllis
In Darkness of a Labyrinth ~ Dungeon
Ladder to Heaven
ICARO -Acoustic Arrangement-
Delusion of Death
Lady Tears II
Someone needs to find this guy more work. Seriously.
Anyone who worked as part of the Falcom Sound Team JDK in the past or present
I’m surprised there aren’t a lot of mentions in this thread for the Falcom Sound Team, but I guess it’s because composers on this team seem to be ever-changing. I personally like their PCE and X68000 stuff more than their other stuff. It can be rockin’, fast paced, jazzy, impactful or anything else. The nice part of a composition team is that you don’t just get one guy’s perspective of a scene or track, but many others as well. I think that’s a huge strength of the Falcom Sound Team, and that’s why a lot of their stuff is generally memorable.
The Strongest Foe (PCE Ver)
A Great Ordeal (PCE Ver)
Silver Will
Crossing Rage!
Mythical Land Serpentina
Stranger ~ Wandering Swordsman
Detemination of Fight
Cry for Your Eternity
Overdosing Heavenly Bliss
Inevitable Struggle
For the Beloved Friends
Tomoya Ohtani
I think Ohtani’s my favourite out of the entire Sonic Sound Team. There aren’t a lot of tracks of his that I dislike (and I can’t say the same for Senoue); and compared to Senoue, it seems like he gets that “simple” works well when arranging compositions.
Planet Wisp Act 1
Aquarium Part Act 1
Deeper
Ocean Base Act 3
Rescue!
Crisis City ~The Flame ~ Skyscraper ~ Whirlwind ~ Tornado~
He's a god. No, seriously, he's one of my favourite composers ever. That man knew how to make some awesome magic with the PC-88 or the YM2612/OPN2.

The Scheme - Perpetual Dark!
The Scheme - Thousand Eyes
The Scheme - Challenging Tomorrow
I've been posting in Sonic threads since 2011. SonicGAF the community is just over a year old.Is SonicGaf that old, cause I don't remember hearing you say that.
I still have to get around to Soul Hackers and EO4. They're both still in their wrap.Koshiro's soundtrack might have been my favorite part of Etrian Odyssey IV, and I liked a lot of things about that game.
One of the reasons that Symphony of the Night is pretty much my favorite gaming soundtrack is because of how diverse it is. Jazzy one moment, classical the next, full on rock afterwards. Yamane has some damn great compositional range, and it really shines here.

I adore her work on Castlevania: Bloodlines as well: (If I hear one complaint about the Genesis soundchip, I swear to god I will fight you)
- Calling From Heaven
- Iron Blue Intention
- The Sinking Old Sanctuary
Yo, these Bloodlines songs give me life

VJC Returns 3D.
Still waiting on Konami to actually port or re-release bloodlines on something but since this is modern Konami I think i'll be waiting for a loooong time, maybe I should just swipe my friends Mega Drive and Bloodlines cart.
Konami Genesis games > respective Konami SNES counterparts*
FIGHT MEEEEEEEEE
ok, maybe not TMNT or Sunset Riders
Also Rocket Knight was terrible, why didn't they re-release the 16bit games instead of out sourcing that mediocre sequel?
That game doesn't exist. I don't know what you're talking about, qq.Yeah, Konami really makes no sense. Also Rocket Knight was terrible, why didn't they re-release the 16bit games instead of out sourcing that mediocre sequel?
There aren't a lot of Falcom games that outright suck outside of a select few because their development style is one that even Square-Enix should learn from.Lightning Lord said:I remember reading somewhere that JDK vowed that even if the game sucked, you would at least still love the music.
Congrats. I used What I'm Made Of, Live and Learn, and Reach for the Stars because eff y'all, I like that song.Hot Coldman said:Finally got that Sonic Generations Platinum.
It Doesn't Matter was a big help.
But they did supply you with superiorGenesisMega Drive Chemical Plant in Generations.
All this Reach for The Stars talk made me quickly play some Colours levels, ah the classic controller pro is not so good for this, I miss my GC controller but I can live, yep Colours is still good stuff, love the world themes and Frenzy Wisp is one of the greatest kill everything in your path powers going.
Lots of people hate that song!Who doesn't like Reach for the Stars? those monsters!
For better measure, you can also pose this question in the Worlds Collide thread to see if you can get some better answers.hey Sonic-GAF, I need some help. I've started collecting the Worlds Collide series, but missed the first issues and it's Variants, anyone know of a good non-eBay place where I might find them for a reasonable price?
That would be the SNES version, which was a pretty faithful port. The Genesis version is kind of its own thing, using the basic gameplay of the other two versions but having mostly unique stages. Are we talking about Sunset Riders Arcade?
For better measure, you can also pose this question in the Worlds Collide thread to see if you can get some better answers.
If you want them later, I believe you can order them directly from Archie per arc (StH, SU, MM). If you want the entire Worlds Collide set, well, Archie has a page up for ordering them + the variant covers. But they are pricey as heck.
If you want them now, the only thing I can probably recommend is going to a local comic shop who would get a bigger stock of the comics and who would keep the back-issues around in boxes. Since my comic shop doesn't get a lot of stock in, I usually reserve mine. As for the variants, you have to hunt those down at a comic shop. My comic shop didn't get those in, so I'm sticking with the primary covers.
I honestly would have suggested Graham Crackers, but it looks like they're sold out of some stock. Midtown looks like they have some.
That's AC2 and Jak & Daxter Platinumed. I fear this is a dangerous hole I'm falling down.
You really collected all that shit in J&D/AC2
AC2's platinum is so easy, though! Try something harder. :VThat's AC2 and Jak & Daxter Platinumed. I fear this is a dangerous hole I'm falling down.
No problem. I wanted to get the FCBD issue, too, and I'm kinda hoping they set it aside for me, but I deeply doubt they would have since it's FCBD.I'll keep that in mind for future reference, and I am looking for now, since I picked up part 2 (regular & variant) and 3 (variant), plus the FCBD issue. I had planned to pick up part one during the weekend of release but the local shop here was sold out, which is weird because whenever I had the interest to pick up certain Archie Sonic issues they were usually in stock. So now I usually call in advance to have the issue set aside for me, but I'm stuck looking for #1 and I never noticed it was 2 Variant covers. Guess I'll take a look around more.
Thanks for the help.
Ahhhh. Yeah, the SNES version was definitely the better port. That would be the SNES version, which was a pretty faithful port. The Genesis version is kind of its own thing, using the basic gameplay of the other two versions but having mostly unique stages.

Good luck! I hope you find it! I know someone else who's trying to track one of the issues down and he's having a tough time finding it, too! I guess they must be in high demand.

Even I have AC2's platinum. >.>
