S2HD going under is a damn shame; expected as all hell, but a shame, nonetheless.
At the least, they should release that fabulous OST. It was done, iirc.
The OST has been remade like 3 times now, some of the older stuff is on youtube but from the demo we had, this latest version of music sounds the best.
Hey at least we got a demo, something playable after all this time lol, a shame it will never come to be.
how?i understood like 3 words :/
how?
Then the goons got together and did whimsical voiceovers of the fiction, mispellings and all. It was hilarious. However, when I say it was off-color, I'm really not kidding, so in the interest of not getting banned, I'll just leave it to your imagination.
I basically have this entire thing memorized.
I tend to quote this exchange a lotI basically have this entire thing memorized. The Tails rant is one of my favorite things in the world.
Can you at least give us a name?
"TALSE" sonuc chewed. "BOY I BEST NOT NOTICE THAT NEW WARMTH IN MY HOME"
'well' tales straightened. 'i turned the heat up already. it was a bit too chill for my liking.' sonuc just pissed his way over with a furrow down his browse. 'HEAT.' sonuc continued. 'IS FOR THE IMPURE. BRRS AND CHILLS CAN ONLY BE TAUGHT BY A LARGE, CONSENTING ADULT. LIL' OL' SNOTRINGS LIKE A TALES AIN'T TO TOUCH'M, M'mN? Y'gotta learn PUNCTUALITY and RESPONSIBLE MAN MORALS 'fore i'll een' let ya NEAR that piece!'
tales just watched in dead silence.
tales had passed away long ago and his crisp deathstare was all that remained as his lifeless eyes glared deep into sonucs heart.
'well sonuc.' tales remarketed. 'my heat sculpture was gettin too cold.'
'fugret it you chicleteer. just go stroke my friends for a while. and do your tomework, you little britch.'
sonuc and tales have a lot of things to work through together and a therapist has been dispatched
Astoundingly, it is not that.I think he might be referring to the dramatic reading-videos of Sonuc the Hodgepodge. The videos seem to be removed, but here's part of the original text version.
And I thought the Steam version for $30 was a bargain.Just picked up Generations on PS3 for a buck. Awesome game so far.
Astoundingly, it is not that.
I guess a name is okay... "In Search For Love". It's now in SomethingAwful's Archives, so I hope you paid $15, since I'm not sure if you can access it any other way. I'm certainly not going to provide a link - if you stumble upon this, it'll be because you actively sought it out, and it'll be your own damn fault.

All this music talk in the other threads has me wondering which Sonic games have the worst soundtracks?
Besides the obvious one, I mean.

Sonic & The Black Knight all had super generic, entirely forgettable OSTs.
Most of which was Eggmanland, I'm sure.
I would argue that there are no "bad" Sonic OSTs. The worst offenders are usually forgettable or just weird; rarely are they truly awful.
Sonic Riders, Sonic Rivals, and Sonic & The Black Knight all had super generic, entirely forgettable OSTs.
Yeah, this sounds about right.Ignoring junk like Drift and Labyrinth, that'd be 4, Shadow, Advance 1, Advance 2, and both Rivals games by virtue of some combination of boring composition, shoddy samples, and poor arrangement. The Riders games aren't especially good on average either, despite Kumatani and Tokoi being involved to various degrees. And SA2.
Haven't played a Sonic game since Sonic Heroes--barfs--what at the decent must play console games of late?
Unleashed, if only for the Daytime levels.
Colors, for a good Modern Sonic experience.
Generations, for a fairly faithful Classic Sonic experience.
This should be the bar exam for Sonic fans.I'm so very tempted to say 2K6, not because it's good, but because it's so bad that you must play it to know true terror.

That its even possible to complete this game that fast is really mind blowing to me.
I was pretty annoyed starting from the first night stage, when they spent like 5 minutes searching for that darn button to open that door. I mean come on, you go off on every path *except* for the one right there. Try and break some pots or something, geez.Watching the RunButton LP, all of the pointless wandering around they do is infuriating. Was that everybody's experience? Did I just magically happen to play Sonic Unleashed the right way while avoiding a large portion of "Where am I even going?" bullshit? Because I never found medal collecting or the HUB sections to be tedious at all. It was always super obvious where to go and most medals are literally hidden 2 inches off the critical path.
Holy shit.

No. Perhaps it's because of years of playing RPGs, but I didn't have that 'wandering around looking for something to do' issue since it was pretty obvious you had to talk to the professor prior to going to any new destination, or gather medals for a new level to open up (which is basically what the Werehog levels were for). The Werehog levels seemed built for exploration and combat as opposed to the 'gotta go fast' mentality.Watching the RunButton LP, all of the pointless wandering around they do is infuriating. Torturous to watch.ColtraineGF said:I was pretty annoyed starting from the first night stage, when they spent like 5 minutes searching for that darn button to open that door.
I never had any trouble with the medal hunting. You pretty much get all of them just by going through the night levels.Watching the RunButton LP, all of the pointless wandering around they do is infuriating. Was that everybody's experience?
