Piney is so awesome. I see something bad happening to him in the near future and I'm already preemptively pissed off about it.

Damn I knew it, not that it took a genius to predict or anything. Piney was my favorite member of SAMCRO. It's going to be a beautiful thing when Clay is finally taken down, though we'll probably have to wait until the final season for that.

The last episode was fucking great. While I liked last season (unlike pretty much anyone else it seems), this season blows the previous one out of the water. The only real complaints I can direct at the show are:

1) The cartels are portrayed as inept gangbangers. I mean, driving openly into their compound and shooting shit up and then mentioning it was done in a military-like fashion? Also, what the hell was up with the plan to war against 20+ cartel members while having 4 of your own soldiers, and then holding up in a barn all bunched up?
2) Juice. I don't like his arc (the black dad thing is still stupid), and I'm not fond of his acting skills.

Epic poisoned gun fight between Jax and Clay. Only Opie and Chucky live.

Yeah, I was scratching my head when that happened. Not sure why their ambush involved all of them hiding in a barn.

Clay killing Piney just raises suspicion onto him. Unless, wat he wrote on the picture should signify Cartel
LS = Lobo Sonora.

Awesome episode, BTW, I just catched up. Karma is going to get medieval on Clay's ass one of these days.

Nooo Piney :( I really liked him, I knew Juice was going to be okay since you could hear the branch break at the end of last week's episode. Tara needs to hurry to Portland asap.

Just caught up right this moment (2 minutes ago, finished the entire current series run in a week and a half) and wow... Tonight is going to be goddamn good.

New episode tonight. The episode may run a few minutes longer than usual this evening.
Awesome, can't wait to watch tonight. The shit's hitting the fan hard nowadays with the club.

ahhhhhhh fuck that ending.

next week promo impressions:
shit is going to be crazy action. Clay is going to pay big time...BIG TIME.

That last bit of dialogue between Jax and Clay was awesome. They play off each other the best when they're insulting or throwing threats at one another.

Awesome ep last night.....I can't see Clay making it out of this season alive, but I also can't see Clay dying before the series finale. FUCK

No way Clay will get killed off, can't see him in the club after this season though.
Yeah, I have no idea what is going to happen but I can't see them writing Ron Perlman out of the show. Clay's there until the final season.

Damn, Clay continues to be a dark, grim man this season. A small part of me kind of thought he would hold off on the call for the hit on Tara after Gemma had that talk with him. Man, this season has been so good. Definitely makes up for the middle of last season.

Pretty obvious that Jax will save Tara from the hit. I see Jax thinking it was LS with retaliation for the the setup with the niners, but Gema will know the real reason. I think Clay kills Gema to protect his secret this season. No way they kill Clay.

unless he wants out for whatever reason

losing clay would be pretty big shoes to fill though they probably wouldnt

this seems less likely to me.. isnt katy sagal sutter's wife/girlfriend

I figure Tara and Juice are the most likely to be killed at this point. Clay is sort of a wild card. It'd be crazy if he was taken out and storywise it makes sense (he's far past the point of redemption), but he's such a major player that Sutter might not have that in mind. It would mark a serious change in the focus of the show (Clay vs Jax) if he was offed, and that's a tough conflict to replace. Then again, I wonder how that relationship continues at this point unless no one ever finds out he made that phone call at the end of the episode.

I think Gemma's safe for now. Bobby could conceivably get killed at some point, but that seems less likely as the season continues.

I'm surprising myself when I say this, but I think season 4 has been very good. The writing is tight, the characters have legitimate motives, and foreshadowing is actually there (unlike season 3.)

Season 1 and 2 while enjoyable were mediocre, and season 3 was terrible. I never thought season 4 would elevate to this level. I'm very interested in seeing how this all ends.

Yep, best season of series so far. It needed to be because Season 3 was fucking awful.

Have they even mentioned Abel this season? :lol

i dunno i still think the writing is a little sloppy when it comes to the cartel stuff especially. i never have any idea what's going on there, like who's at war with who

it's an improvement over season 3 though

It turns out there was too much material to cram into the S4 finale, so we're getting an extra episode this season. Originally the season was supposed to end with Episode 4.13 on November 29th, but now the season will finish with Episode 4.14 on December 6th. I'll post the press release when I see it.

EDIT:
Deadline.com said:
FX is extending the current fourth season of flagship drama Sons Of Anarchy, the highest-rated yet for the biker series, with a pickup of one additional episode. That will bring the total fourth season order to the Kurt Sutter-created SOA to 14 episodes. The series’ Season 4 finale will now air on Dec. 6. “Creatively, this has been Sons’ best and biggest season ever,” said FX’s EVP original programming Nick Grad. “Kurt asked us to consider adding an extra episode to fully close this current chapter of the Sons saga. By adding the extra episode, it wraps up a magnificent season in extraordinary fashion. This is a real bonus for fans of the series.”

Well that's a welcome surprise :)

Kind of related note, but I'm about 75% sure I'm going to continue growing my beard out till next halloween... I will be a Man of Mayhem next year.

Good news for everyone. The fans get another episode and FX gets another week of its highest rated show ever.

May be more likely that Gemma will persuade Jax not to kill Clay, when it all comes to a big ugly head and Jax relaises what the FUCK has been going on (or at least SOME of the truth).

I can't see Clay getting killed off this season but there HAS to be a reveal - even if it's just Jax that finds out the truth re: Piney.

That extra episode is great news. Glad they don't have to cut stuff down/out in order to meet the original episode order. :) If they can finish certain plotlines this year without having to wait till next year then that's fine by me. :)

Another awesome episode. I feel bad for Tara, damn. This season has been unpredictable as fuck.

Not too thrilled about the 90 minute episode, though. Commercial break every 5 minutes incoming...

Wow, what an awesome episode! Poor Tara. I felt bad for her. Gemma kicked some ass, but Clay put a beating on her something awful. :( I agree with people here that I can't see Clay surviving past this season now that Gemma is set on killing him. Show's been so good this season.
