I think he wanted to grab the sample in the room where they were storing the coke, but he had to put it down his pants and get out of the room when he was interrupted by one of the prospects.

Watching the episode now. I generally have been liking the storylines they've been doing this episode and last. Reminds me of old SOA (probably because many of them deal with older SOA plotlines).

I rewatched that scene and I think you are right. Still, I am not a big fan of the whole storyline. It just doesn't "work" for me.

I stopped watching during the middle of season 3 because it was so terrible. Has this season been better or is it still shit?

I like the overall arc for Juice, but the mechanics of it (how suddenly the race issue is huge, falling asleep in the forest, etc...) have been lacking so far.

In my opinion, it's better than last season but not up to the level S2.

Better. Not nearly as good as season two, but definitely better than season three.

I like the fact that he has a storyline now, just not caring for how this is playing out.

Completely agree with this. I thought it was so odd that he fell asleep right after stealing it that it just sat wrong for me. Thought this episode did a better job of how everything went down though, even the fact of why race would come up suddenly.

Awesome episode last night. God damn Clay is cold hearted this season. Now he put a hit out on Tara, he really doesn't want the truth to get out. I'm not sure Clay would want to take a chance on taking out Piney. Piney did tell Clay were anything to happen to him, he had a "contingency plan" ready.

Juice is getting into deeper and deeper shit every week! Makes for great drama though. I gasped when he shot the member that found him with the coke (can't remember his name). Chibbs knows something is up, and I feel for Juice if/when the rest ever find out.

Jax had me going for a bit with Ima. Wow at him smashing her face into the table. Guess we won't be seeing her around any more.

Tara is his contingency. So, if she's gone, Piney can go too.

And I wouldn't be so sure about Ima, she doesn't strike me as someone to take things like this lying down, but who knows?

I think that the show works best when they are working against internal conflicts rather than external threats.

Hmm... yeah. I agree. Absolutely.

I don't feel the threat from this new chief. Clay? Yeah, that's a threat.

I can see how Tara is Piney's contingency and how her death allows for Piney's too, but I am seeing the play being made by Clay and Unser as being they are creating a fake threat against Tara and they will ultimately pin the failed (because the cops are alerted and Clay will be aware of the hit) attempt on her life on the cartel. This will lead to Jax and the whole club turning on their deal and maybe even war.

I simply don't see Clay truly wanting to kill Tara as the end game here. Even were it to look like an outside job, Gemma would probably suspect something was up. There has to be a larger plan here than just killing her.

just watched last ep yesterday, really enjoying the season but same complaint as before: Clay turned into a straight up villain WAY too fast and with little to no development. Its weird.

He's been a villian from the start. They've basically been implying that he murdered Jax' dad since the first episode of season 1. If anything Jax is swinging a bit more to that side now.

will totally Facebook friend you! *giggle* *LOL*
TBh, only the audience really inferred it. The show itself left it totally up in the air and hardly blew the wind in either direction until the S3 finale. Not quite as unestablished as Juice's black issue, but still kind of sudden, but I guess that was the nature of the secret all along anyways.

Obviously, but compared to how he behaved so far, how he basically dropped the whole curtain in one second with no development feels really weird. Not saying it wasnt intended or anything, but im not a big fan of how it went down.

"welp fuck it, i'll pay this cartel dude to kill my "son's" fiancee."

c'mon, the show as billed as "Hamlet on Harley's" from day one. It was pretty obvious where that was going.

No surprise here:

- FX Renews ‘Sons Of Anarchy’ For Season 5
LOS ANGELES, October 17, 2011 – FX has ordered a 13 episode fifth season of its critically acclaimed hit drama Sons of Anarchy, from Fox 21 and FX Productions, announced John Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks.

Starring Charlie Hunnam, Ron Perlman and Golden Globe® Award winner Katey Sagal, Sons of Anarchy is having its best season yet from a ratings standpoint. It’s currently the #1 scripted drama series in all of basic cable, and is the highest-rated series ever on FX. On a first-run basis, season four is averaging 5.8 million Total Viewers and 3.9 million Adults 18-49, increases of +30% and +26%, respectively, vs. season three. On a multi-telecast weekly basis, season four is averaging 9 million Total Viewers and 6 million Adults 18-49.

The series has shown remarkable consistency week-to-week. The premiere episode of season four (9/6/11) was the most-watched program in FX history, with 6.5 million Total Viewers. Last week’s episode (episode 6, 10/11/11) was the highest-rated episode in the past four weeks (Live + Same Day).

“Everyone at FX is very grateful to Kurt Sutter, his many writing, directing and producing collaborators and his masterful cast for making such a compelling and beautifully crafted show,” said Landgraf. “It is no small challenge to bring the themes of a great, ancient play like Hamlet into a wholly original television setting and to tell this complex story in a way that is both riveting and accessible to a broad audience. The fans know how beautifully SOA meets this challenge, and we thank them for their loyal and passionate viewership.”

Seven all-new episodes remain in SOA’s current fourth season airing Tuesdays at 10pm ET/PT. In the next episode of Sons of Anarchy (“Fruit for the Crows,” October 18, 10PM ET/PT), SAMCRO deals with the fallout from a death threat made against Tara.

I love this show and this is season is definitely way better than last year. Like someone else said it's got a much stronger S1/S2 vibe.

Who were the dudes that tried to kill Alavrez? I'm the only that has trouble making out the dialogue?
Two cartel guys and another dude who was forced to do it, I think.

I have trouble with the dialogue sometimes, too. Sound levels are funky and the accents are difficult at times.

Two rival cartel members you mean.

I've noticed this also. Sometimes I have to turn the volume up even more during the show to make out what they're saying sometimes. I think it would be nice if they were (during post) able to find spots were the audio was a little hard to hear and just have actors repeat the lines clearer? They probably do that already and it's just the audio is kind of funky.

Two really great episodes in a row. I kind of saw the Juice thing coming, but not this soon. That was just nuts.
Yeah, me and my brother were watching this and during the last twenty minutes of the show I looked at him and said "I have a funny feeling Juice is going to off himself rather than betray the club". :( I've really been enjoying this season though. It's been good.

DominoKid said:
is it me or did it sound like the branch broke on Juice when the club logo came up.
It did kind of sound like the branch broke. We'll know for sure next week.

defiantly a tree snap, they really shouldn't of left that in but it doesn't really matter because of previews, they always ruin the "did X die/live" by showing that person or the funeral in the preview.

but for people who don't watch previews them leaving the tree limb snap/fall sound out of it, would of made for one goddamn suspenseful week.

So far this season has been a huge upgrade from the last. I could still do without the shitty A-Team-esque action sequences though. So out of place.

Great episode. This show is back, totally recovered from last year.

Stuff is so tense right now, how does Sutter plan on stretching it to seven seasons? :( Just end it at five, I guess.

Stuff just keeps going deeper every ep. Enjoying the hell out of this season.

And yeah, that definitely sounded like the branch broke.

I am going to be kind of disappointed if Juice lives. Personally I think they should have just killed him off and had him go the route of offing himself rather than ratting out the club. However, for the sake of furthering story, and having some tie into Potter back into the club, I am sure that won't happen.

I kind of wish they'd actually gone through with Juice's suicide, just to raise the stakes somewhat? There's been a severe lack of important people dying recently.
