Should be good. I am intrigued by the new rifts in the club. This show does feel like a dude's soap opera though (I still love it!)

They're are a lot of people on that list: Piney, Juice, Bobby, etc... The gun theft was lame, but the rest of this week's episode was pretty good.

I'm getting that vibe about these three myself also. I thought the gun theft was kind if funny, especially how two of the lady's sons were named "Luther" and "Vandross". :D

Really dark episode, but happy that the creators are going this route. I wonder how far they will push it.

Was thinking the same thing, Clay is a grim mofo this season.

Anyway, yeah, just an OK episode for me as well. The last couple minutes were shot really well though.

Are there any two characters in the club that are being honest and acting in each other's best interests? I can't think of any pairings where two characters are on the same page. Everyone is either lying to or pissing off each other, and in some cases it's both.

So why would the Sons have a problem with Juice being black but not hispanic?
Not sure why that's the case, but I hope they dig into it more at the season continues.

i think the only way for this series to end good is if the writers have a final season target.

because they can build up the separation arc and culminating to the final season

Sutter has said he's envisioned 7 seasons pretty much this whole time, and while it's nice to have that end date mapped out, it's kind of killing the tension of this season.

but then with success of the show it can lead to season 7+

yeah seriously

are we supposed to be into the idea of jax and clay leaving the sons when there's supposed to be 3 more seasons after this?

he probably just picked 7 because the shield had 7

i think last nights episode was the first time they had a good piece of music (love's 7 and 7 is).. usually it's some crappy cover of a well known song or something that might appeal to fans of limp bizkit

eh, actually i take that back i think in the first season they had some good selections but lately it's been crap.

oh c'mon, if anyone believes that with all the looks and the promises and the "could turn into forever" comments there's something wrong with you. They're obviously not gonna leave the club and things arent gonna go as planned, that's not the tension of the show, the tension is the JT/Clay/Gemma situation.

I am not sure Clay survives the season. They are realllly making him a villain what with the near spousal abuse.
They should have done this after S2. The series was suppose to be Jaxs vs Clay. Of course you just can't get rid of one of your best actors on the show. I rather see Gemma go.

Does anyone else hate the term "old lady"? Kinda creeps me out.

Also, the fact it's a 7 season plan doesn't necessarily mean that every season needs to abide by the same principles from the first four.

yeah maggie siff has a nice ass

and yes the term old lady is weird.. i mean it works for gemma i guess but if i were terra i wouldnt exactly by thrilled by it

I get it's a motorcycle gang term and it's probably used (or was used, at some point), but it's still fucking weird.

I'm also glad that Juice looks like he'll have more of a role this season, but I don't get the whole race card with SAMCRO. I guess we'll find out. This dynamic with Clay and Jax and Clay versus the rest of the club is great. Especially Clay and Bobby.

While I think the show can still milk long term arcs, I really don't think episode to episode motorcycle chases set to hard rock music have much left in the tank. The last episode seemed to be ringing out the last drops of creativity from it.

I just hope there are actual pay-off consequences to the members lying to each other. The arc with Tig killing Donna teased it for a long time, but there ended up being almost no repercussions to the club.

It's still used, most old ladys get their own "vest" that say "Owned by: so and so gang"

The Shield had 7 seasons and each season was incredibly tense. Sutter just needs to
hire better writers or something.

- Sutter talks about Juice on his blog: Black and White of MC's
There seems to be some confusion about Juice's discomfort and fear regarding the discovery of his black father. This is a racial reality in outlaw motorcycle clubs. We've touched on the issue lightly over the first three seasons of SOA. The fact is that most of the bigger MC's do not have African American members. There are black clubs and there are white (Caucasian, Latino, Asian) clubs. Most live in harmony. HA and the East Bay Dragons have been friends for decades. That relationship inspired the Grim Bastards in season 3. We delve into the delicate why's and how's of this racial bi-law later in the season, but it was one of those odd, historical barriers that I've wanted to explore. It's a throwback to a different era that is still in practice today. I can honestly say that none of the guys I know in the life are racist, yet they function within a structure that is built upon a form of segregation. To me, that's fascinating and fertile story turf. The depth and weight of this rule varies from club to club and this season we see how it's handled by the Sons of Anarchy.

I am going to say the obvious. The USDA is a biker because at the end of this season he will be killed by SAMCRO exactly how John Teller was killed. Jax will realize that it was the same way his father was murdered too. ect ect.

Story arcs are more obvious when a weekend warrior is penning the show.

Print screened and added to a folder of people's predictions for various shows (Breaking Bad, in particular). It's always amusing to see if people are right or not.

Went to a convention last weekend and one of the media guests said they would be making an appearance in a future episode of Sons this season

Peter Weller, episode 10

This is really dumb. Juice looks pretty Hispanic. Why would they just now start to care about race?
I'm also thinking Juice has been deep in the shit with them already for the Sons to just not want him in the crew. Hopefully he doesn't get taken out by them. :/

Maybe they'll kind of put the issue aside like they did with Donna's death?

Christ....IDK about this show anymore. You think they could have been MORE obvious to someone than driving a semi truck full of guns flanked by a known gun running MC?!?

I don't necessarily find this season bad, but the pace is what's losing me. Feels like the show is moving at .5x speed of what season 2 operated at. I've walked out of the room and made myself something to eat and not missed beats in the story.

My bad he looked like a black dude. Just seems odd that the club would have THAT much of a problem with Juice being half black. Seems out of character. They haven''t really set that up at all over the course of 3+ seasons.

Check out the post that Sutter made on his blog, I linked it above. There's always been an undercurrent of this in the series, but it hasn't been explicitly addressed yet. It's too bad they weren't a little more overt with it because then the Juice plot line would work a little better.
