Check out the post that Sutter made on his blog, I linked it above. There's always been an undercurrent of this in the series, but it hasn't been explicitly addressed yet. It's too bad they weren't a little more overt with it because then the Juice plot line would work a little better.

Yeah, undercurrent or no, it really doesn't fit in with what we've seen from these characters that it would be enough of a problem that Juice would be that concerned about it. I mean, at most I could see the older members like Clay or Piney having a problem with it due to tradition, but it just doesn't fit with me that most of these people would kick Juice out of the MC because of it.

A more realistic approach would be if Juice panics over Roosevelt's threat, and starts ratting out on the club before he notices that none of SAMCRO's members would break a sweat over his dad.

Then maybe it won't actually be a problem.

EDIT: What BeeDog said. Potter seems like he's trying to bust things up from the inside, and he's taking a number of different approaches to do that.

Considering how much Juice has gone through with them, I don't see how it should matter at all. He is still the same person he has always been.

Yeah, but you don't think like a racist

I get that, I just dont' think they did a good job of establishing that ahead of time so that it feels like a legitimate threat for Juice. It was more confusing than anything. A couple of old ladies at work that watch the show asked me about it and they were confused too. "Don't they already have black people in the club?" and "Why would they be racist?"

Great episode. My favorite moments where the big chase set to hard rock music, and when the gang threatened the fish and a bunny. Dang, who would have thought those guys could be so hard.

Just watched the second of episode of this season and it was good old Sons of Anarchy again. Glad the focus was less on Jax this time, more about the club itself. The coke scene was really played out well, pretty much says that major changes are coming.

It wouldn't make sense from what we've seen of the club for Juice to think his own chapter of the club has racist members, as they at least think of him as Puerto Rican and obviously Bobby is Jewish.

But it may make other white motorcycle clubs cut ties with them which would force SoA to drop Juice as he would be too much of a liability. That's the only thing I can imagine making sense.

Good point. For Juice it will be far more intresting to work with Potter when he is expelled.

At least Juice has a good backup plan in case he gets booted from the club:

anyone got info on the spanish version of Times They Are A Changin' that was played at the beginning? I tried looking but found nothing. I love the choice of music throughout this series. One of the best examples of great music supervision.

This is all getting very complicated. OMG - Hoff!

Refresh my memory, who actually killed Luanne?
I don't know if they've ever definitively said, but it's assumed that Georgie (Tom Arnold) did it.

EDIT: Juice is so fucked.

Ya know, I don't know if it's because I have been watching Breaking Bad concurrently with this show....but I'm starting to dislike this show. Everything is so.....out there. I don't really know how to explain it.

I dunno, that may have been the best episode this season, more because it dealt almost entirely in just plot lines from previous seasons that actually mattered once. The show is far from being fire again to me, but this didn't lose my interest.

yeah this was a pretty good ep

im getting tired of hearing about JT though

the hospital tara works at has the worst security ever lol

By the end of the season the Sons are going to have their church in Tara's office, it seems so easy to get into. Jeez.

Good episode, I'm very happy Juice has his own storyline. Why the hell is Opie so intent on procreating? He has two brats plus Lyla's spawn at home. I'm sure all the Lyla haters are happy to hear that to Opie, she doesn't compare to Donna. It was sad to hear Opie say that, though, I felt for him.

And was this episode the first one we clearly heard an admittance of John Teller's murder? It's been nothing but insinuations all series long, but now we get Clay and Unser dropping truth bombs all over the place.

Man, Juice is going full retard this season.

lol at Opie plowing the slut and getting all emo about his pornstar wife taking birth control.

Cool to see Wayne get some screen time and I'm hoping The Hoff gets accidently killed or something.

Yea, now that I think about it, Opie your wife is a pornstar, why wouldn't she have some birth control lying around.

Ho man, didn't know The Hoff was going to be on tonight, in the porn business at that! lol Wow, things are getting god damn dark with a lot of the characters. Juice is getting deeper into shit with every episode. Bobby was ready to kill Tom Arnold's character last night. Not sure about them getting into business with him and taking him out later.

That one girl Opie slept with in last night's show is so hot. Loving this season so far, the sense of urgency.

i wanna see where clay and gemma go now that they are both lying to each other about the letters. clay clearly lied to gemma about why JT had to die and gemma is lying to clay about her getting the letters, reading them all and burning them. the lies between these two are interesting since it has been assumed all series long that there are NO secrets between these two.

Just started watching. Juice would be a lot more sympathetic if he'd shave his mustache. And put on a few pounds? It looks like he lost some muscle mass.

I do like how we're talking about plot points from previous seasons. It's definitely more interesting than last season's... and the drugs haven't been really doing it for me either.

Yeah, It's interesting where Clay goes from here as he is the one who knows more. He now knows that she is lying. It also puts him in sort of a predicament if he wants to do anything about Piney and Tara. This last episode was really good, but I'm not a fan of the Juice stuff. I can't see how he comes out of this season alive.

Why hasn't Tara told Jax about the JT letters? Have they ever addressed that?

Not directly, but I'm guessing she's worried about Jax's safety if she tells him about them. She knows as well as Clay does that if Jax finds out that Clay was responsible for his father's death that he'll pretty much go ballistic. That would pretty much mean an all-out war within the club, assuming not everybody turns against Clay immediately.
