Just getting caught up, holy shit at that kid "acting"

The best part, the kid gets top billing in the opening credits. looooool

I finally caught up with the season, and this thread. It gives me great joy to see that everyone finally sees this show for the steaming pile it really is.

Ha, I remember way back when season 2 was airing the reception on gaf was mostly positive, then came season 3, and I remember everyone shtting on the show while they were in Ireland, which I can't blame anyone for since I bailed out on that season.

Then we get to season 7 finally and man, I can't even argue with what you're saying, at this point they should just for the most over the top ridiculous ending they can come up with. It's funny (sad) how far the quality has dropped.

Is Juice really that stupid and forgot outlaw code on rats? He has to have something else up his sleeve... right Kurt Sutter? Right?

That was a half hearted chase sequence lol. Dumb ass fucking Juice. How do you let Gema just fucking walk off? Juice would have never gone to another gang like that. The sons were his fucking life. Did the writers just forget the part where he basically went on a season long storyline of trying to kill himself for feeling bad about giving up info because of his father being black?

Unfortunately, FX doesn't usually upload it for a couple of days.

So this episode Jax talks about patching over the Grim Bastards, the small black motorcycle gang...

Just to highlight again how stupid the overall situation Juice is in, it all started when he was blackmailed by cops/feds about them telling SAMCRO is father was like HALF black or something...

Yes, he is going to die because of where they started with that as a scenario and yet Juice still doesn't say a word.

Overall another pointless, drawn out episode where little actually happens or plot progresses. But as long as Gemma gets her council with the Glee chick we're all happy right.

So, Juice is officially the dumbest character ever right? "I won't betray Gemma after she tries to murder me, but I'll betray my club in order to get away from the club that I never wanted to betray in the first place."

preview for next week though, i wonder if Jax knows, it looks like it.

I hate that Juice is on the outside looking in. Him and Chibbs together was always so great. It just doesn't feel right in the show

Spoiler about the preview:

It looks like Jax is giving Juice back his cut. My guess is that he gives up Gemma but I also find it hard to think Jax will believe him

Either Juice gives her up to Jax to get back into the club, or Nero puts two and two together and Gemma's stupid half-confession of guilt.

Sigh...

Juice, you stupid, stupid sonofabitch.

Pretty bad episode overall, characters yet again acting in a way and doing things that make no sense, plot lines equally not making much sense, I just don't know what Sutter is doing this at this point.

We didn't even get a montage this week.

I think the only highlight of this episode for me was Jax apparently being serious about bringing in a black guy to SAMCRO. I hate the race wars plotline the show keeps falling back to but it would be a nice twist if Jax diversifies his group (before they get destroyed at least).

Onion A|V Club review was on point this week:
“Smoke ‘Em If You Got ‘Em” is the longest episode of the season so far, just over an hour before commercials were added, and all that time adds to hardly anything at all. Here’s a summary: Jax starts his move against August Marks while solidifying his relationship with the Nazi assholes. Unser gets Gemma to testify to the Sheriff about what she “saw” before Tara’s death. Juice does something stupid and finally gets caught by SAMCRO. Nero finds out that Gemma was covering for Juice. Gemma is worried Juice might tell Jax about what really happened to Tara.

That’s it. Oh sure, I missed some of the texture (if it helps, add ten second pauses between each sentence) and a few nice character moments, but for the most part, this was a slog bereft of tension, insight, or entertainment.

The single worst thing to happen this season was Juice not telling Jax everything the moment they were face to face together.

Juice has nothing to lose and no reason to defend Gemma at this point. Why not drop the bomb to Jax and Alvarez that they've screwed over Lin for no reason? It puts him in a position where Jax can't just kill him outright.

You're exactly right. It's just not believable at all. The Juice we've come to know over the series would be screaming that shit left and right to anybody with ears to save his ass.

Because Gemma needs plot armour until the very last episode.

How many times did Tara have a perfect reason and opportunity to tell Jax about Gemma's involvement in JT's death? Instead she resorted to lies like a fake miscarriage which made no sense at all.

Sutter literally scrapped a major plot point spanning 5 seasons just because there was no realistic way of addressing it while keeping Gemma in the show.

You act as if this is a bad thing :p

Hey man, I need my fix.

All characters are acting stupid this season, so it's not really surprising that Juice is acting the most stupid of them all.

Protect Gemma's character at all costs, even if it means turning the show and its characters into an incoherent mess.

Seriously, what does Juice have to lose at this point? Does he really think he's being noble or somehow doing right by the club?

I know the preview suggests some things might happen, but I'll believe it when I see it. I bet there are stupid contrivances and a very minimal amount of information is given to Jax.

juice will make a move of desperation and offer to help samcro somehow and save his own ass. But he won't snitch on Gemma. Gemma will hear that Jax did something with Juice and is letting him go free. She is going to get scared and assume juice told him and start grovelling for forgiveness basically admitting it herself when Jax never knew to begin with.

Book it.

HOPEFULLY not though, hope juice just snitches and jax hatches an elaborate scheme to mess her up.
