Fucking hell.

OK, so first those supposedly ex military dudes are dumb enough to ALL converge on a trailer that was such an obvious potential threat in such an obvious ambush, and then the one guy they want to torture before he dies is conveniently shot in the leg and isn't hit by any of the stray bullets even though they were clearly all firing indiscriminately.

If a show has kids featured on it in big roles, they always use twins. Labor laws specify that kids can only shoot for a certain period of time per day (I could be wrong on the length of time, but they have to limit the time they're working.)
Right, I believe that's the primary reason. Also, it's typically difficult finding good child actors and working with them because they're kids, so it's useful having a spare you can swap into a scene in case one of them isn't feeling up to it that day. The SoA directors noted that the twins playing Abel don't behave or act exactly the same, so they'll use the one that's more appropriate for a given scene.

Leave your brain at the doorstep and embrace the fuckery ya'll. For me, the show is incredibly illogical but still entertaining.

I understand what you're saying but I think the problem (at least for me) is that for the first couple of seasons I didn't really feel like I had to check my brain at the door to enjoy it. I mean, it wasn't high art or anything, or instant-classic television, but it wasn't just tune out and watch the mayhem either. Maybe that would change on a second viewing.

Honestly, I wish I had waited longer on this show and had started watching Justified way sooner (still haven't watched the most recent season.) Talk about a stark quality difference.

watch jax not believe him due to him lying earlier in the day with the cutting thing.

I took the scene as just a "seed" moment. Basically something that will be granted validity when the whole Asian story being fabricated sees the light of day, which is probably soon now that the cop and Unser are aware.

So those files that Jax's new girlfriend is supposed to be digitizing...were those Tara's old files? I was thinking that could be how they resurrect the Gemma/Clay/J.T. plotline that kind of died earlier in the series.

Thanks.

I don't think I'll be sad to see this end.

Hadn't even considered that.

I'd like to see Gemma survive the fallout of Jax finding out she not only killed Tara, but had something to do with his old man's death as well.

Jesus, that opening montage....

Sutter has outdone himself with this.We just witnessed his magnum opus.

As for the episode, Jax's new girlfriend. She looks a little like Tara. Anyone else think the same?

That look on Tig's face was hilarious. Need gifs. As much as I hate Tig, I have to agree that his and Venus' scenes are probably the only good thing about this season so far. The scene in the room was particularly touching.

AT BLOODY LAST!!!! Abel finally tells Jax, but wait, plot twist, only after telling a big lie trying to get Gemma into trouble.

Sigh. Oh Sutter, you're really going to drag this out to the very end? Hopefully Jax won't just ignore it and turn on his brain for the first time this season....

The rest of the episode was just....eh.

That opening montage was just ridiculous. Hopefully the ending means we finally get the whole Jax figuring things out train moving.

Pausing like 20 minutes.

Do those rednecks not have an ounce of loyalty towards one another? The let the Sons role up and kill two of their guys right in front of them and just don't say a damn thing?
If I remember correctly, the main guy they went to meet (I think be was bald, the dude Jax was talking to when it was dark) mentioned to Jax when they first met that there were still two guys that weren't too happy about doing business with the Sons and weren't "loyal" and told him who the two were. And those 2 ended up getting killed.

I finished season 6 with my girlfriend last night.
I just can't. I know she'll want to watch the rest when it shows up online. I feel like I want to strangle like half the cast.

So are we supposed to feel sorry for Juice since his situation is obviously horrible, or feel like he's getting what he deserved for betraying Jackson Teller, Decent Guy and Hero of Charming? I'm really confused where Sutter wants us to go with this.

Seems like the actor did something to piss Sutter off, so he's getting his petty revenge by shitting all over the character.

I can't think of any other reason why Juice's character has gone the way he has for the past couple of seasons.

Sutter did things to his own character that were way worse than anything thrown at Juice so far. Sutter just probably likes Suttering all over any of his characters without discrimination.

Yeah the Juice rape literally adds nothing and just seems like sutter wanted to do it for some reason.

Also I wonder what it says about Sutter that the tig/venus relationship has been the most sensitively handled thing on the show.

if someone wanted to gif that juice moment, but put sutters face over marilyns face and an SoA poster on juice's face.

I'd think that would be appropriate

They've complete ruined the character of Juice (along with all the others).

Let's examine what's happening with him. He 'betrayed' Jax by drunkenly telling Nero that he killed some no name third party that never had more than 15 seconds of screen time. Time has passed and now Nero and Jax are partners in crime, partners in business and Nero is in a relationship with his mother. They have clearly moved past that episode, but somehow they can't forgive Juice for it. Everyone on the club wants him dead for being a rat.

Juice is desperate to atone for his 'sin' so he agrees to a plan to kill someone inside prison. The odds of pulling it off without getting caught are incredibly low, and if he does get caught he's probably in jail forever. With those stakes, instead of actually telling the police who killed Tara and Eli, he literally gives away his plan by asking to be moved to a particular cell block. It was so obvious that even the daft Charming police managed to figure it out. And all for what? A club filled with people who don't care if he gets raped or murdered while he's trying to pull off this unlikely murder.

Juice used to be the smart one in this crew in the early seasons.

Juice's initial spiral is what kicked off my acknowledgement that Sons is a bad show. For most it began with S3 Ireland (that season redeemed itself IMO with the awesome roadside finale: Chibs and Opie getting dual revenge), but for me it was the insanely drawn out Juice-turning-rat-and-murderer-because-he's-half-black story.

Whenever Sutter gives the other Sons who's name isn't Jax or Clay lines and stories, you quickly realise he hasn't got a clue what to do with them most of the time. I think SoA has the longest running co-stars in cable TV history who we know nothing about.

What was even the point of having Rat fuck a prostitute? All this season, he's been shown to be in love with this girl, who looks at most 16, then they show him fucking a prostitute.

Clearly that giant house wasn't a cabin.

Hahaha, I didn't even think of it this.

Yeah, okay, they had their dissidents, but they're okay with the Sons, who are outsiders to their organisation, killing their brothers right in front of them? Ah, fuck it, maybe they weren't that close anyway and those fuck ups were meant to be cleaned up eventually anyway. That's what I choose to believe.

The show never fails to turn people stupid when it's time for Jax to win.

This has a been prevalent trend since the start of the series, so yeah, pretty much.

Just watched the two latest episodes tonight.

I don't know what to say really, it's just so stupid.

The sex scene on the hood of the police cruiser in front of the other member.

The sex montage, I cringed, laughed and cringed again.

"The Cabin"

Former Special Ops who doesn't clear the whole house, approaching the RV in a tight group, it's so freaking obvious that it's a trap. And to top it of Jax pops up wearing his fucking sun glasses from the basement.

And how the hell do they manage to hide all the bodies, Charming is full of dead people, the woods would be littered with shallow graves. When does the FBI or ATF notice whats going on, somebody probably would notice that a small war was going on in Charming.

It's so stupid I can't stop watching, the conclusion is going to be a mess, but I'm in for the ride.

If the episodes were normal length it would be much better.

While you guys are absolutely right, I'm still enjoying this.

Season 7 is by far the worst of the bunch, but it's still entertaining to me. All the gripes you guys have mentioned have gotten even worse this season, but they have always been present. It doesn't bother me anymore.

This show has always been kind of a goofy caricature in my eyes. Nothing's changed dramatically, it's just gotten worse.

Everyone dies but Rat.

He and that girl gets married and rides into the sunset.

At one point I was considering the idea that the babysitter was actually planted by Lin or Marks to spy on the Sons.

I hate it when there are these long camera panning shots of Jax and Gemma looking all contemplative and sad... as if everything bad happening around them isn't their fault. Almost as if Sutter wants us to feel sympathy for these monsters. There is no way either of them should be alive by the time this ends.

Highlights from Sutter and the SoA cast's visit to Conan earlier this week:

- Conan's "Sons Of Anarchy" Cold Open
- Theo Rossi & Tommy Flanagan's Sexual Superfans
- A Tribute To Charlie Hunnam's Naked Back
- Nick At Nite Presents "Sons Of Anarchy"
- Drea de Matteo's Embarassing Confession To Conan
- Kurt Sutter's Fantasy Ending For "Sons Of Anarchy"

Yep according to the interview with Weller. The last 2 episodes are supposed to be fallout from what happens in 11. Would this be considered a spoiler?
Eh, we only have three episodes left. Something has to happen at some point. :p

Of all the ways to air the truth they choose this..When will Unser and Althea put to use the evidence they have that the Chinese didn't kill Tara?

How the hell did Jax and Chibbs get to that house before Marks' guys who were already in the middle of driving to that location when we see Chibbs picking up Jax from Gemma's house? Pach.

And Rat cheating on Brooke? You're done in my book.
