Can't leak if you have nothing!!! DRIVECLUB 2 hours extravaganza

What if it is two hours of this?!

That was the only reason. It would have cost too much to port, and MS didn't care enough to pay them.

I guess you didn't see the Sony Product placement throughout the game?

Sony paid for it to be exclusive. That and Sony and Kojima are close anyway. So i'm sure it wasn't too hard.

I know the numbers and I stand by what I said. Nine million is more than at least any two Forza games combined. It's not a small number.

Gran Turismo still doesn't need to be at a conference. Everyone is always expecting a new GT, and we know we'll eventually get it. Sony should focus on newer IPs rather than a guaranteed cash cow.

I'm not saying it should be at the conference. But, a series sells almost 24 million in a single region and that region doesn't care for the series? Come on.

It was never about the hardware.
It was about the money that Microsoft gives them.
It will continue to be about the money that Microsoft gives them unless Sony suddenly shows up and gives them a larger check that to them is worth breaking the relationship and it is business and this is their right and to them it is good business.
There is no contradiction at all.

No, you said you don't understand why people think they'd change their habits. A change to near identical hardware would probably be the reason. And you said that yourself.

Otherwise I understand what you're saying.

I didn't hear anything about these two before the conference. Just DriveClub and that GG would be showing a game. I followed the rumors very closely too.
Not closely enough then. Famousmortimer listed the names of the games that would be shown before the conf. You can still find his post in the PlayerOne Podcast forum.

Beyond Two Souls coming to PS4 / David Cage PS4 title.

This is probably just a reference to the IGN Playstation Podcast: Podcast Beyond, which, if you've ever listened to, they have a strange obsession with the word BEYOND. If it were actually a reference to Beyond the game, I think they would be in trouble for too much of a giveaway.

I understand keeping expectations in check, but to expect no surprises is a little too much for me. All three are going to have big surprises of stuff we haven't even thought of most likely.

Not really. If he was referencing Beyond: Two Souls, he wouldn't get in trouble because all he said was a secret. He didn;t say what it was or what it pertained too.

Pretty much. They may not all be good surprised but there will be some. I bet no one expected a 20 minute Wonderbook demo last year!

I forgot about the podcast. Yeah, it could be anything then.

at this these are you thinking that everyone is talking about either previews or first eyes-on.
either way, anything next gen is 'new', so these people have their work cut out for them.

GT was announced in the UK. So UK cares the most? Woot¬! go Britannia!

Still, there is a decent point there, if not expressed in the best fashion. It sold nearly 3m in the US. And whilst that is nothing to baulk at, in Europe they did sell nearly 7m.

GT will have at least a trailer there. They just have fabulous trailers that get people excited for the franchise.

edit: Thread moves fast.

I would think revealing that a Beyond: Two Souls secret would be announced at the conference would be revealing too much, considering neither Sony nor Quantic Dream has stated anything of the sort. Usually when specific games are called out for conference appearances, the developer or publisher makes a statement.

What was the most reliable stream last year, wasn't it ustream? Or I may have watched it on gametrailers.

The Playstation Blog is probably streaming the conference again, if I were to guess. If I also remember correctly, the GT stream last year was alright too.
