People used to mistakenly make that joke about the 360, which itself became an inside joke. The quote above was referencing that.

Yep, I believe it originates from the Play Beyond advertising that Sony used back in the day. I still remember listening to the first Podcast Beyond. Boy was that a long time ago or what.
Those concerns might be justified one day in the future if the XBONE becomes the dominant console and the PS4 explodes in peoples homes, but people were spouting that "MS wont let" crap for this upcoming generation. After the PS360 generation where both have sold within a few % of each other and neither has dominated on a world wide basis.
MS cannot control how much Sony prices the system, MS cannot control when Sony announces or when it releases or how powerful it is. They CAN pay for exclusivity, but as we have already seen, the biggest franchises from this gen are already announced as being on both for next time.
"Conference secret" sounds like it's not a game, but something actually related to the presentation itself. Like an unexpected presenter (The return of KB? Gabe Newell?), or something like that.

Agreed. This and some of the pre announcement PS4 rumor threads have been awesome. There's an enthusiasm, appreciation, and love for games in these threads that have been absent elsewhere. I love it.

lol We still got like 2,953 posts to go.
Not to mention it'd allow them to get more units ready for the holidays and have an idea about the demand. Not to mention they could get one more exclusive killer-app out within the year as well (infamous: SS and/or FF).

It will be, especially after all that work going into Versus 13 for PS3, I am guessing XV will be Versus 13 renamed. Also TitanFall is another example of a exclusive game that is cross gen for XB1/360. I reckon, Sony are helping Square Enix make the PS4 version
Same. I'd rather it utilize whatever next-gen power it needs to, rather than it be an up-port of a PlayStation 3 game.

This is my first E3 as an active member of Neogaf. Loving the hype. This thread is my favorite by far. I try to be unbiased but Sony has been my main console since the PSX. Here is hoping for a great conference and a great E3 in general.
