If more PS4 games supported cross-play multiplayer with PC users, that would be fantastic - as I mentioned before, I really loved being able to play cooperatively with the PC world in Portal 2.
Tretton is going to be the main presenter as he is the head of SCEA, definitely.

How could I forget this! Pretty much all of my coop sessions were done with Steam players. First game to feature PS3 and PC players together.
For me, furiously hitting "F5" to get GAF to load while watching the conference on my second screen is where the fun lies

Cerny was great during the PS Meeting because he was talking about something that he was very passionate about, which was the guts of the PS4. The host of E3 conferences have to talk about a bunch of shit. From bringing presenters on stage, numbers to announcing games. It probably wouldn't be fair to him to put him up there reeling off PS family talk.

Same, he is a business guy, but he also seems pretty nice like he's actually talking to you when you watch. His talk about the elephant in the room PSN outage was very well handled too, didn't sound very "suit like."
Yeah, I like Tretton more as a person than Don Mattrick. Cerny would be good to come onstage to talk about Knack but don't make him present the entire conference.
He comes off as less of a prick than Don though, that's for sure.

He is like the used car salesman that makes the other used car salesman want to take a shower.

I used to think you could do no worse then the guy who always came out in sunglasses, but Mattrick has turned it up the last couple of years.
That only works when GAF does. When GAF is down, you've got to F5 it until it reappears.

I'm still secretly hoping Sony builds a dream team for RPG development. I was actually pretty bummed that the rumored Sony acquisition of Level 5 never went through. It just seems like the RPG epic is a pipe dream. Final Fantasy 13 didn't make any sense at all to me
They're definitely missing an RPG team of either kind. But you know, FFXIII isn't as complicated as it may seem. The plot is poorly executed, but the story itself is rather simple. It's a ragtag group of individuals defying an authority. You had FFVI with the Returners/government and you had FFVII with Avalanche/Shinra. Here you have Nora/government and that pope. After that development, it focuses on defying fate. It's not like XIII is the first to try either concepts; it just had worse execution. To me, it falls into the same problems as DmC and Resident Evil 6: for as much as they tried to be different, they didn't actually take as much risks or do anything creative/new in design at all. What's left are games that serviceable (so they're not bad), but they're mediocre beyond belief. Add that to the legacy they follow, and they only amount to disappointments. You could write a thesis on the problems of these games and tie them into Japan's westernization/lack of identity. They need to realize that they didn't have to westernize their games to have a global appeal in the past.
As a side note, it's kinda funny that when they said they wanted a female Cloud, they went out of their way to achieve the effect. Not only do they give her a stoic demeanor and call her Soldier in the game, she appears at the beginning with a black guy that uses guns and has a child, just like Barrett. There's a train and everything. They say they want to surpass VII, but they keep chasing its shadow.

I hope Cerny does show up for a bit. Rewatching the PS Meeting, it looked like he went off-script and did his own thing a few times. I like that he's a loose cannon lol.

I agree it would be cool, but they need to be careful. Because when it comes to competitive games (shooters and even MOBAs) console players are going to get stomped by PC players. I hope cross-play games will support kb/m or even Move (if they'll still have it, that is). Didn't some PS3 games have kb/m support? I want to say it was either Unreal Tournament 3 or Counter Strike: GO.

I agree that he does come off as a bit douchey, but for some reason I don't mind him. Is that bad? I don't know, I feel like he at least has a good stage presence, even if half the things that come out of his mouth are bullshit.
To be honest though, Peter Moore was the best spokesperson MS ever had at E3. Even though he's a bit of a douche now as well, at least at the time he seemed like he cared about what he was talking about.
Interesting that they went with the wood-panel look for their new system.

Not really. If there's an Error it will inform you and you can keep clicking the Update button, while the complement also tries to update it.
If you just F5 it while there's an error you won't have any GAF at all.
