I really like Tretton and I don't mind him doing the talking. He comes off as humble and sincere and easy to listen to. Hopefully we'll get to see Cerny as well. Don't think we'll see Kaz tho.

But PS4 is his baby, he should do the entire presentation!

I don't like Tretton, he is just a business guy like that Don Mattrick

Man I swear I disagree with like half the stuff you say.

I've always found Tretton to come off as the most sincere of the big three hosts at E3. Mattrick has always come across as a suit to me, but I get the impression that Mattrick wouldn't host the events if he had a choice, he's just unfortunate that it comes with being in his position. But Tretton seems like he genuinely enjoys hosting the event and that he actually cares deeply about what his company is showing. You rarely see Mattrick or Reggie cracking jokes like Tretton does.

I will be really disappointed if Tretton isn't hosting E3 this year, it's become his thing each year.

Also, how can you not love that smile?

I forgot to mention humble, I agree.

This guy hates cats. Enough said.

Tretton seems very nervous to me, that's all.

Today has been a fun day. Really nice weather, relaxed atmosphere at the office, enough free time for me that I've just wasted away drinking Lucozade/Coke, annoying my PA, and randomly calling people then putting them on conference. That last part was kind of messed up, I admit, but still pretty fun. And last but not least, MS continues to provide an incredible amount of entertainment. You can't fault them for that now, can you? Plus, I received a lot of gifts from Big Boss. A nice thick document I've been waiting for, some nice tech stuff, and my new phone actually arrived! So slick.

All in all, a really productive day.

Now, for the first time in ages, I have a weekend with nothing to do. So, I'm going to go to the beach, then come back and finally play The Last of Us, the so called game that can potentially dethrone Uncharted 2 from its throne atop the generation (we'll see though I am expecting greatness from ND as always). A perfect weekend before the E3 event. I'll see you folks, along with your buckets of tears I'm sure, on Tuesday. Or is it Monday? Next week basically.

Three days until Judgment Day. Don't hurt yourselves Sony GAF.

Confused..........

I always find Mattrick hilarious because he never looks like he gives a crap about anything he is talking about. "He is like okay what are we trying to sell here some GI.Joe game in space with a blue Leia hologram hot chick....introducing the GREATEST GAME THING EVER HALOS 5!" Clap clap

Mattrick is the perfect representation of the "used car salesman" stereotype. Not just what he says, but how he says it. Its like everything that comes out of his mouth is designed to sound as perfect and squeaky clean as possible with a consistent and clear tone throughout.

By the numbers manufactured PR machine. Makes every conference he speaks at a disdainful displeasure to watch.

Imagine the guy with a clap on light.

Fuck no.

As much as I hate Xbox Live at least they're going to have dedicated servers for every game making it at least somewhat justifiable.

Where are people getting this "dedicated servers" from? You guys don't think all their investment in servers for Xbox Live is for better online play do you?

Hmmm, I might go on a blackout till the Sony conference as I'm afraid of early leaks spoiling the fun and surprise^^
I guess GAF will be dead on Monday, so have fun, guys! Can't wait, aaaaaah :)

yea he did seem like a douche at that press event. hopefully tretton will be a lot better

yea my big problem with Mattrick is every time he's on the E3 stage he looks like he's on something and completely wasted. Could just be nervousness getting to him *shrug*. I was surprised that he appeared so sober during last month's reveal.

I think that's just Tretton's general demeanour, he comes off the same way in the many interviews he does. I feel like it gives him an air of humility, again seeming like he genuinely cares about what he's talking about.

I don't know, maybe I just have an unhealthy like for Jacky T.

Mattrick is probably really good at his job, but suffers from bitchy-face syndrome and isn't a naturally gifted public speaker.

lol, it is annoying when he claps about everything he says.

I think there was a thread about it.

Found it: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=560885

In E3 2012, when the first sp hand-on for GoW: Ascensions was presented, you could hear that Tretton was practicing his next line after he introduced Sony Santa Monica.
it was .... cute.

Yeah that makes sense.

There would still be the very small possibility that things are still in negotiation. But it would be to their advantage to actually push the pro-consumer message at E3.

Launching later this year does not give them much time.

Bad salesman. Used car salesman is a perfect analogy.

At the very least, Tretton is an affable fellow and seems passionate about what he just showed on stage.

You can be sure that if they don't address it throughout the conference, alot of questions will pop up during the interviews afterwards.

I think that if their policies are "better" than MS then they'll want to highlight those during the conference and leave less popular details vague/unsaid.

Don't we usually have a picture of the convention centre with a giant game banner on it by now? Or have I missed it already?
