This is not the case by any means. Every single reliable source in GAF and elsewhere has heavily hinted at both TLG and FF XVersus being shown in Sony's conference and I have no reason to doubt any of them, neither should you.

It does kind of amuse me that LR is listed so low on their press priorities. I think they know full well that the American gaming media doesn't care about FFXIII or its spinoffs and aren't even trying to push it on them anymore. LR is a game mainly for Toriyama and the people in Japan who still inexplicably love that vapid void of personality he created, not for the actual fans of FF games.
Bring on Versus, Square/Sony. Anything less and you shall remain as irrelevant as you've been since 2008.

My first ever Gaf hype train was when Zeal was hyping the PS4 reveal claiming a Versus reveal was happening. Just started frequenting the site then and I totally bought into the hype and was severely disappointed. I guess I kind of have a 'expect the worst attitude' with SE now, and I have a hard time letting myself believe the insiders.
Yes, something running on the actual engine...

Well, with as useful (read: worthless) as Square's been this gen, who wouldn't be pessimistic about their PS4 FF offering? It could be another MMO. It could be Lightning Returns 2: Electric Boogaloo.
We have every reason not to trust them after they've systemically destroyed every reason we had TO trust them over the past seven years.
