My biggest worry earlier this year was Lightning Returns being the focus. With the trailer shown before E3, and Kagari hyping this one up, I can't help but be excited for this one.

And why do you think these Toriyama games exist in the first place? FFXIV was botched, Versus was in development hell and S-E had to make a quick buck by reusing assets.

That's an interesting point, thats kind of what I was hoping was happening, and not just the European SE branches jumping the gun. We got the KH1.5 trailer wednesday, and LR thursday, I was hoping for an XHD trailer Friday, but I guess they're saving that for this week.
Which is ironic because it's the current gen title I'm sure most of us are looking forward to, perhaps SE realizes this.
Versus, Kingdom Hearts III and the proper unveiling of Agni's Philosophy all at once. BELIEVE!

The private meeting they did after XIV was announced was a breakdown about the game, a Q&A session and a bit of gameplay was shown as well. So probably something like that.
KH trailer leaked early. It's not supposed to go live until Tuesday.

SE used to hide their trailer to public online for long time, but when they showed Agni last year I was surprised at how quickly they released the official screenshots and trailers.
Hopefully they do the same this time.

When you've waited an entire generation for two games, you tend to get a little focused on them, it seems.
Agni is a special case. It's not a game, it's not a real project, it's just a tech demo. They had nothing to be secretive about with it. That's why they showed off everything all at once. If Versus is real, they'll probably still hide some details from the general public.
Once those games finally get released what will we have to talk about?

I'm sure new vaporware titles will be announced this E3.
I expect there will be some numbers along the lines of "Top selling HD gaming console"... the numbers are close, but I can't see Sony not grabbing the opportunity to crow a bit about beating the 360 in overall sales worldwide. But the more numbers they talk, the more the omission of Vita numbers will become obvious, so it shouldn't be too bad.
Their foresight abilities mustn't have a very long range then because that future won't last for too long.
Oh yeah, forgot about those. FFXVersus anyone?

"showered with numbers" what does that even mean? Will he spend literally 30 seconds giving sales numbers...umm maybe. That's not really a big deal. Will he spend 5-10 minutes showing charts and graphs. Of course not.

I think in the case of games like TLG and Versus - the Irene Adler of video games - "vaporware" isn't a good term since they keep popping up, screwing with people's heads and disappearing again.
Mirageware might be a better term. I usually view vaporware as games that just go completely silent, like the City of Metronome.
Psh. People line up for Black Friday on Monday now. And that's just to save like 100 bucks.

There is absolutely no chance in hell Sony would allow them to black out a mainline Final Fantasy trailer. They need that boost to their public perception.
