This is not a competition. VII:R would blow everything else away.

As a gamer who started console gaming with PS3 (albeit having played FFX), I really don't know. Perhaps Versus at this point since it's the only one that is most logical.

Versus, then VI remake, then KH3, then Chrono Break, then VII remake.

I really don't want a VII remake. But I would kill to see VI in all of its Wagnerian glory with full spec HD graphics. And I'm not saying that just because I would audition to voice Kefka.

Though I totally would.

"It seems votes are tied, therefore we are pleased to announce a new Final Fantasy XIII trilogy for Playstation 4. Please be excited for further details at TGS"

I'm hyped for the S-E games, but I'm afraid I'll be incredibly disappointed. Like I've been for the past 3 ~ 4 years...

Same. I'm expecting:
-FFXIV available on PS4 at launch announcement
-some Lightning Returns crap, and possible PS4 version?
-tease that FFXV is in development for next-gen consoles with no other information, not even a logo (please be excited!)

And no Versus.

Keeping expectations low, etc.

There's no way Versus isn't FF15. I think they show a trailer for that, then maybe tease that FF16 or another big game is currently in development, and not show that one.

If I had faith that SE could do it well I'd say VI:R. Since whatever it is will probably end up disappointing I'd say VII or XV. The former for the luls and the latter because it would continue the current trend for the series.

Why must you torture me so?

Chrono Break is what I'd choose begrudgingly. FFVII-R would probably be the most popular though

Lightning Never Left: Final Fantasy XIII. Fall 2014.

*Pre-order now Corridor Edition.

XVersus. Then KH3, then Chrono Break (didn't like Cross). Remakes I don't care about, but they can be equally in last place I suppose.

I just hope that they've kept the combat in Versus/XV real-time. I know it's an obvious departure for a mainline FF title, but perhaps that's what it needs right now. That doesn't mean that there can never be another turnbased game in the series (I certainly hope there will be), but Versus should be completed with its original vision intact.

If XVI is just a CG they better just save it for another time.

Well, remember, back in the day, they did announce FFIX and X in the same event. They could easily do that again, showing gameplay of Versus and a CG trailer of XVI.

Agreed. Part of the reason I got interested in Versus was because it was a "mature" take on KH. I'm definitely down for another true turn-based FF game in the future though.

Preferably one with full party control. Stupid XII and XIII. Enough of that "control one character while the AI controls the others" bullshit.

I...I... that's.. impossible!

Ugh.

So... I could safely rule out remakes of FFVI and VII - as much as I love those games, I want something new.

It's probably between KH3 and Chrono Break. I'm leaning toward Chrono Break because it's been so long since the last Chrono game... basically a dead series now. :(

It does kind of amuse me that LR is listed so low on their press priorities. I think they know full well that the American gaming media doesn't care about FFXIII or its spinoffs and aren't even trying to push it on them anymore. LR is a game mainly for Toriyama and the people in Japan who still inexplicably love that vapid void of personality he created, not for the actual fans of FF games.
They are just getting the XIII saga over with, which I'm really glad for.

Huh? I really doubt they'll have releases of XIII, XIV, XV, and XVI all scheduled to come out soon :P

I didn't say show it. I said tease that it's in development. For instance if this partnership goes beyond versus maybe they'll say in addition to that development has started on the next final fantasy game as well which will also be for PS4".

As an example of course.

GAF I mistakenly made time for a family/friend BBQ during the Sony Conference. (i'm moving to seattle at the end of the week, so hurrah)

What have I done.

Any idea who will likely upload the conference by the end of the night?
