Since the new R&C game is being done by the NC studio the main studio(Burbank?) must be doing Resistance and the multiplatform game.

I like the idea of the 4 co-op players having different abilities.

What has the CA Insomniac studio been up to though? They have two teams, one has been working on something since R2. If Ratchet "4" is their only game next year, then that team has had a looot of time to work on R3.

This is very surprising and the co-op thing sounds odd but I look forward to hearing more about it. So so so surprised that this wasn't Resistance 3. Not really upset about it though - I love Ratchet & Clank and I hope this game is finally able to tie up the much more open find-Ratchet's-family storyline that started with Tools of Destruction.

ToD was released October 2007
aCiT was released October 2009

October 2011 would still be the same time frame and I doubt the new one will be a 2012 game.

I just got an e-mail from Insomniac saying 2 games were announced today. Ratchet and Resistance 3.

I think they didn't want to let the new studio at R3, and are really taking their time with it. This is a safer option.
