I can't remember who did it, but someone posted a great re-cap of the last 2 years earlier in the thread. Here's what I gathered from this year's Gamescom so far (Housemarque is now confirmed based on the teaser from today).

Some expectations are reducing to nothing new being shown? What's going on lol.

Media Molecule's new IP is expected by almost everyone now. That could be the 45 demo? Maybe.

When do you guys think we'll hear about the game Ono is working on (it's not Deep Down)? I guess TGS makes sense. This is probably unannounced game that I'm interested in the most due to the high chance of it being a fighting or action game.

we might get it in a sizzle real and have demo stations available to the public but I am guessing that a majority of PS2 news will be at SOE LIVE then Gamescom

I'm fine with that. Enjoyed Far Cry 3 way more than AC4 (which is still a great Game) and AC2
I am also kinda glad that they are showing the new Dead Island Trailer now, same with the Hungry Horde Reveal, this (i hope) means they have time to show other things at the PC. Can't wait to see what Sony will show off tomorrow.

Interesting, wonder if we might get a release announcement..?

First I've heard of A Million Ways To Die, Rime confirmed(?) to be there and confirmation that we will get gameplay from Bloodborne rather then another CG trailer is great.

I like Gamescom for these reasons, it might not be the unveiling stage that E3 traditionally is but usually what gets unveiled at E3 gets fleshed out in terms of footage/info at Gamescom which I appreciate.
