The Legend will never die. Considered the best by many fans of the series, Soul Calibur II returns to consoles with high definition graphics (720p) and all new online modes with new online infrastructure and netcode overseen by the PROJECT SOUL development team.

Players will be able to face off against opponents from around the world through online with the entire cast from the original but now, Todd McFarlane's Spawn & Heihachi from TEKKEN are both included in both versions and are no longer console exclusives. Link however is not included for very obvious reasons, but Namco mentioned they might consider him if there was enough demand through Facebook and Twitter.

Soul Calibur II HD Online will also come with the multitude of modes found in the original release including: Arcade, Survival, VS Battle, Time Attack, Survival, Team Battle, Practice and Weapon Master.

For real though, i'd love to stream games of this. It's tempting to buy it on PS3 though since I've got so many other fighting games on it already.

I really wish it had the territory defense mode from the arcade version though. $20 is a little steep for basic modes like this.

$20 is steep (more than I paid in 2003 for the original game, even!) But I'm definitely interested. I enjoyed Cassandra in this game, and I had a pocket Astaroth back in the day.
