zlatko: those are not infinites. You have to turn on air control, not how they get up off the ground.
Well....glad I rented. I don't think it's the game for me.
At least she won't be the same in any future appearances.Watched my girlfriend rage quit against a stage 5 Pyrrha last night lol. Very amusing.. but I will say that I also hate her character. She's probably the worst of the new characters in V.

God damn the AI in legendary souls is some of the biggest bullshit i've ever seen. Nightmare gets in once and the round is over.
It's easy

Good thing she'll keep the arm.Omega is win! . . . Although too bad she won't be as demonic/rageful in future literations. But hopefully no where near as timid either.
Check out his movelist. There's some useful stuff there.Recently got around to playing this online with a friend and was using Maxi. Anyone know any good combos with him? I just mashed and hoped for stuff to combo XP.
Ugh I fucking hate jin. Fool is broken as fuck. *even the guys who wrote the guide agree*

So during that I found two infinites with Devil Jin.
4vertical3vertical(this will launch) then you try to find the pattern/timing of just hitting vertical over and over. I got up to 70 some hits in a row 370ish damage, before I dropped it. (Sorry my notation sucks. Is vertical hits, B? If so it's 4B3B, and then mash B's as they are in the air)
It's somewhat random on when you will finally get it, but I've done it around 5 times in a row once, so you might be able to master it.
I had the AI set to random free falling, and quick get up shit, and all that good jazz, and I was able to keep it going multiple times to just free kill. Straight up broken ass shit lol.
Seriously, fuck that guy.
Bah haters.
Can you be a bit more specific? Ie, when you say 8A+B, is the 8 a direction?
Is Raph like low tier in this game, or is the top tier just THAT good?
Seems like gimmicks are real easy to run for some chars. I'm wondering if I"ll have to switch my character to Natsu or something just to be viable like it's a Capcom game.
Firebranded said:-The tiers in Soul Calibur usually goes like this
Week 1 Tiers
Top:
Popular easy-mode chars.
Low:
Everyone else.
Week 2 Tiers:
Top:
Technical characters:
Med:
Kilik, Cervantes, Maxi, Cervantes.
Low:
Slow Heavy Hitters
Unlike Marvel you can read attacks in this game, So eventually the characters with more tools tend to outshine the characters who strictly deal raw, basic damage. You'll be raging over the Xiba spammer you see online today but eventually you'll realize that 90% of his attacks can be blocked by a standing guard and his low multi-poke doesn't put you in hitstun so you can block low after the first hit. Also you'll learn that in the Xiba match-up you should expect to guard a ton, most likely this will cause the Xiba player to start rushing you. This is the fatal error, Xiba is slow at point blank range. You see, things like these will pop-up as you play the game.
Pyrrha definitely. Omega's moveset is small and limited, she can hit harder but lacks regular Pyrrha's variety of tools. Shame because I dig Omega's voice and the look of her attacks...Still really early but who is looking to have the better moveset? Pyrrha or Omega Pyrrha?
Wow I keep getting waxed in arcade mode by Nightmare.. Any pointers.. ?

Raphael sucks, huh? Shame, I'm planning on playing him, but I played Dragunov in T5R so I think I can handle it.
Just beat story mode last night. I get the hate on it. Lots of story parts bugged me too. But I kinda liked how the story focused strictly on two people's struggles surrounding the Soul Edge and Soul Calibur. It felt like a much more real story than any of the other superfluous soul calibur plots. Though the sibling love seemed a bit creepy.
Is there ANY reason to beat Legendary Souls, if Algol is unlockable through quick battle anyway?
He doesnt suck, you just have to put a lot more energy in during fights against most characters. Your moves do not do as much damage as most of the other characters, so you need to be able to time your rebuttals, and combos.
Thank ya! This is exactly what happened to me hehe! It took me 28 mins to beat him with ZWEI.. I kept hitting high mids stuff until I switched to quick kicks and throws ha ha! What a workout lol.radiantdreamer said:If you're playing hard, continual quick low strikes and throws seem to work really well. I spent 20 mins against him using normal fighting tactics, always losing badly until I did this and won instantly.
Easier and faster through Legendary Souls. Is there ANY reason to beat Legendary Souls, if Algol is unlockable through quick battle anyway?

Is she going to keep that demon hand or what?
As long as she keeps that voice. Er, uhm. So about that Devil Jin, what makes him so broken?
