Love how they had the fridge from BeBop on the planet
I thought about that, but I wasn't sure they were explicitly referencing the actual fridge from that episode.

Is the show on a break now? I didn't see a preview for next week's episode.
I think it was cut in order include the full opening. Although it's the ending which is more important. Is the show on a break now? I didn't see a preview for next week's episode.

It was the exact same fridge and the inside and creature in it was the same too.I thought about that, but I wasn't sure they were explicitly referencing the actual fridge from that episode.

No, some thought it was cut to fit the Japanese opening but it was apparently just an error.

Give me back our US opening :< Adult Swin staaaaaahp
Just watched that part in slow-mo. There isn't.There was also a pic of Ein from Bebop when QT browsed through the database to identify the dog.
Continuity confirmed. There was, however, a picture of zombified Myau for a brief second.

NO, we've pestered Toonami & Funimation too much to give up the original opening.Give me back our US opening :< Adult Swin staaaaaahp
Hope the episode is good...

I'm starting to think that Space Dandy takes place sometime in the future of the Cowboy Bebop universe.
You mean the original opening we gave up for the last episode? I'll just queue it up in Youtube and mute the TV. If I wanted the Japanese opening I'd watch the episode in Japanese
My mind is blown by people who prefer the slapdash Funimation intro, haha. It's thirty seconds of recycled footage from the first episode with a song (albeit, good one) clearly not tailored for it.
Wow, I loved this week's episode. It felt right out of a strange tales scifi pulp magazine, which is exactly the sort of stuff I was hoping there would be more of in this series when it was announced. The way the narrative was put together was pretty clever and neat too. I'll say it's up there as my favorite episode of the series so far. I really liked episode 5 too, but the way the different elements here were put together felt tighter and more cohesive. The character animation and color palette was great too.
Man this show is just random crap.
Reading reactions to Space Dandy episodes is fun
I found the last episode of Space Dandy to be neither good nor bad. I have no strong feelings one way or another.
Ah, noted. Lots of ladies doing the heavy lifting in Dandy.Eun Young Choi is a woman.

Ep.9 Promo is up.
Looks like this will be the first episode that has a pretty radically different aesthetic. You can definitely tell this guy's pedigree is Yuasa. Cannot wait.
*One Week from today*
"Man what happened to the art, was this done by the B team?"
"Where'd the animation go?"
"Who approved this shit?"
"Ugh so bad, I guess the budget ran out!"
:/
>_<
Considering the Kick-Heart complaints, I already know that's coming.*One Week from today*

Is next week's episode going to be directed by Yuasa? I can't wait!
Eunyoung Choi is someone who's collaborated with Yuasa a lot in the past.Ep9 - Even the Plants are Alive, Baby?
Script: Shinichiro Watanabe
Episode Director: Eunyoung Choi
Storyboard: Eunyoung Choi
Animation Director: Kiyotaka Oshiyama
Looks like I can't. Anyone know how I could find this here in the States? Like a digital download somewhere.I'm a few weeks behind, just saw the underwear vs. vestians episode. Was okay overall, but that final sequence was pretty great. And that song that played when they were surfing was kick ass. Does anyone know what that was?
edit: nevermind, duckroll posted it I think: http://www.amazon.co.jp/dp/B00HPTXFTW/
Hmm, wonder if I can buy that with an American account.

Says my credit card isn't valid in Japan =[
Nope, it sure isn't. But you should probably have that on the top of your to-watch list.Being that I've been out of the anime loop for years (attack on titan is what brought me back in) is there anything else like this show? People mention Cowboy Bebop? is that like this?
