Now what? Reboot again? Or continue after the god awful ASM2?
Such great news. Only sad thing is that we already have the absolutely perfect Peter Parker/Spider-Man and DC already grabbed him first.
They finished the deal 38 weeks ago. They most likely just finished the deal. They probably wanted to announce it themselves ASAP and not have a rumor site break it first.
MCU characters can go to Spider-Man films and vice-versa.

Wasn't there a tweet saying it was finished 38 weeks ago? They've been discussing the deal for a long time, and have been very close for the past month or so. I doubt it closed until just recently.
Please go after Gambit next Disney!
Quick montage of origin at the start of the film. People have seen it enough to get it, look at The Incredible Hulk film.
I dont mean about an Origin movie. I wanna know if they continue where they left off and cast Garfield again or if they cast somebody new, fresh, cool and who can act.
Yuck.Just make the next film Spider-Man 4 and continue where Sam Raimi and Maguire left off

"By day I'm just an ordinary forensic scientist". SMH.
Also, about 99.999999% of everyone knows where Spider-Man came from so it's a waste of time to devote an hour of a movie to showing it a thrid time.
FTFYThey wont just buy one character. I think Fox already started making a movie.
X-Men & Fantastic Four to Marvel and we are done.

I just think back to Comic Con 2011 and Andrew Garfield coming up in costume and spilling his guts about his love of Spider-Man and how touching it was and then seeing how far things have been taken since that point for better or worse. I think he could have been a really great Spider-Man if he had been given more to work with.
Oh and Marvel still has a huge bar to clear when it comes to Peter's love life. I doubt they'll get much better than Emma Stone and Garfield.

Even bigger than Spider-man, is access to Spider-man's villians.
I never really thought this would happen.
Man, it's gotta suck to be a guy named Garfield and be screwed over by a spider on a Monday like this.
Clint Eastwood as vulture
If anyone got screwed by the news it's Garfield. He did a great job in the role and he clearly has a lot of passion for the franchise. It's a shame the actual movies failed him.
Didn't Sony execs hate him anyway?
