All of the brushes seem way OP. Why does an inkbrush outrange my gun? The fak?

Yeah I got that as well, all the brush users I've come up against do is swim into the middle of a fight and spam the crap out of attack, I've even tried going up high and getting the jump on them but apparently that spam attack reaches high platforms as well.

How are buckets good now? I was a bucket guy in 1 but it feels totally ineffectual now, super slow

Tri-Slosher seems to be a top weapon among pros in Tower Control. Feels crazy good to me (well, against me) with Burst Bombs in tow and Ink Armor.

Slosher seems strong to me on maps like humpback and fitness just because of the topography.

Everything feels a little nerfed compared to S1 to me, but that's probably a good thing with how ridiculous that game got toward the end.

Finally got my account approved. Nice to see you all.

Trying to get better at using chargers, it was difficult at first but now I'm actually sorta decent.

I still lose a lot though. Any tips?

Don't use them. You're losing because your team won't get on the point after you clear it.

In tired turf wars, they're just highly ineffectual since enemies aren't routed.

Sad but true

Man, I don't mind Salmon Run being restricted, but at least offer a 24 hours window! Time Zone can be a bitch. I have to work, Nintendo.

lmao the last one for me was 2am to 2pm like what?? why not have times good for different time zones.

I think next patched rollers will be buffed. I haven't tried dynamo roller as i'm not level 20 yet but from my impressions of regular roller/kraron and carbon there's some problems. Namely that they're too slow, too weak and the sub weapon/special don't make up for their weaknesses.

Carbon roller is fast but it's a 2 hit ko on every occasion. Which considering it amongst every other weapon the chances of you landing 2 hits is slim. I don't know why they decided to nerf the roller. In splatoon 1 I wasn't good with them but the people that were clearly had skills.

Vertical slosh sucks, there's no range, comeon.

Holy crap I got to level 6 and I tried out the Aerospray MG. It's like the perfect weapon for Turf War as far as putting ink on the ground. Plus the Curling specials seems good. I've only tested it. I haven't purchased it yet.

It's literally the best there

I used to main Slosher in S1, now I'm a Tri-Slosher main because they moved Burst Bomb. Burst Bomb + a bucket of ink is one of the the quickest way to score a splat, and it has decent range unlike the Carbon Roller.

I can't play in handheld mode because of this, it doesn't take long either before I want to throw up. In tv mode or desktop mode I am fine, it's very strange.

They are both pretty bad for me. I think it may have to do with my distance from the screen.

I am playing on a monitior.

Yeah the Aerospray is one of the weapons I hate going up against, only because the Curling bombs special is insane, when more than one person has the weapon you can forget about going anywhere as it's just Curling bomb spam.

I was going to ask this. Do the abilities stack on each other? For example my hat, clothes and shoes may all have Ink Saver (main) does that mean it stacks up 3X or does it only count one?

They stack but with diminishing returns.

Someone needs to add the posts that addressed this in the OP

It really turned my game around in turf war. Ever since I've changed I've regularly been getting 2000p+ games.

It doesn't seem to work as well for tower control though. The curling special isn't as well suited to that mode. The sticky bomb is effective though.

Noticed they got rid of Double Splat Bombs and Double Suction Bombs in this game. They didn't eventually patch that out of the first Splatoon, right? I remember being able to throw two in a row with the Octobrush with certain builds.

Was playing around with Ink Saver Sub builds and noticed it'll let you throw one bomb, and then not another until the grey ink line gets to its bottom point. Except Burst Bombs, you can still throw a bunch of those. You can still get two active Poison Mists going, even with the delay, though. I don't know why you would need that much Poison Mist, but it's fun to play around with.

Hmm I see. Do you know when we're allowed to use Murch to add abilities? I talk to him and he says he's busy. I didn't see it in the OP.

Yeah, I've never played Splatoon 1 so I'm not too sure how exactly the other modes work. I'm guessing I'll have different weapons for each mode.

Being able to kill is more important in ranked.

They've definitely changed the Burst Bomb as well. From what I can tell, it feels more 'heavy' now, with bigger burst size, and higher direct damage, but you can only throw 2 with full ink tank.

I like this game well enough, but the motion sickness man...
Pretty rough.
Good to know it's not just me. I've been playing SP on the train, and I thought I was going to puke when I was getting off. On TV at home, no worries.
I've found I just take a break now after every level, look up and around and out the window for a while.

Just beat Singleplayer. I don't know, maybe it's that I had lower expectations due to all the negative talk about it, but I thought that Final Boss was great. Especially the end bit. The first game's was cool as a marathon style deal, but I didn't really want to replay it. 2's is more of a boss than a long stage with a boss thrown in.

Seeing the credits, it... It kind of hit me seeing Kimishima's name in place of Iwata. I don't guess I've beat a single Nintendo game that released since his passing, because that felt so strange to read.

I just had a teammate stop going for the goal with the Rainmaker when he was right in front of it so that he could shoot at their spawn. He died and they ran it all the way back to win. Why the fucking fuck

Just want to ask one more time: this game isn't only for tryhards like Destiny PVP, right?

It looks very cool but I can't dedicate 4 hours a day to "git gud" ...

Well you can certainly enjoy Turf Wars/Splatfest with a more casual mindset. Salmon Run as well to some degree.

Really? I remembered being able to dispatch three BB with my E-Liter.. I guess I probably did run ink saver then. So with Ink Saver Sub, can we throw three consecutive Burst Bomb in this game as well?
Dunno.

As a side note, the game said the rank meter won't change due to a DC. and cracked anyway.

This game is fun playing casually, especially the turf war. Only in ranked where people gets too serious lol.

It also improves how you play over time.

I've lost 3 in a row since having the Aerospray 😑 Getting dominated lol

As an aero user, focus more on inking on less busy areas.

My guess is that you can probably get three with enough Ink Saver Sub.

When the first game came out you could throw something crazy like four at base. But they were indeed smaller. They changed them at some point in a big balance update, giving them the larger explosion radius, while reducing the amount you can throw. It turned them into a way to claim ground or get out of a sticky situation if you manage your Ink, instead of a panic button that you could always rely on.

This games playerbase includes young children. Chances are very high you will find a match at your skill level

I suck at competitive FPS games, but am loving this online, I actually don't do too badly either. As long as you try to Ink turf you are helping the team, doesn't matter if you come dead last.

Once you show him a super sea snail you can then add slots to gear if thats what you mean, can obtain them by reaching lvl 30 where judd the cat awards you with 1 each level from then on, or from splatfests. You give murch one and he adds a slot

Alright I've gotten much better with Aerospray. I won 3 in a row now. I've consistently finished over 2,000 and was first on the team. Those Curling things are crazy!

Thanks.

Seeing a lot of love for the Aerospray. And I agree. It is a good weapon for turf wars with a fantastic kit.

I'm actually trying not to use it anymore since I kinda used it as a crutch between levels 6 and 8. And I was getting wrecked by other players.

Currently level 10 and saving up for buying the pro.

Wow holy hell. First time in a long time I can legitimately say I lost because of horrible, dumbass, shitty teammates.

Me and the rest of the team helped get our rainmaker carrier all the way to the goal. I had a path inked up all the way for them. We spawn camped the enemy so hard that we got multiple team wipes. And all the fool had to do was walk to the goal free and clear. I even pinged "This way!" Over and over and they simply REFUSED to go to the goal. They kept shooting the enemies spawn with the rainmaker and not moving forward. Of course, we eventually got overrun because we couldn't hold them off forever in what was essentially a 3v4. Hell they didn't even need to get the goal. Just a few more feet.

9 times out of 10, when you lose, you gotta look to see what you can do to better yourself and not blame teammates... But man, that 10th time... so frustrating. Losing because a teammate simply didn't know the rules and you can't do anything about it is just the worst feeling.

I feel like ranked modes need mandatory tutorials like salmon run.

Ah right.. forgot they already changed Burst Bomb in the first game, it was around the time I stopped playing. Yes it was a bit too good back then that I can almost use it as a main weapon.
