Finally got back to home from work. Splatoon Weekend Timmmmmmme!
you can't queue together to play turf war or ranked.
league battle is the only way to play together duo or full team.
joining friends is used to get in the same lobby. but teams will be shuffled after each game
winning strike meter for the selected weapon. If you reach a certain amount like 5.0 you get extra points as a reward

I've got so much other shit to play from the Steam sale, but I'm still thinking of grabbing this after work. I hope my local GameStops received enough copies.
Anyone else have the problem where the Pro Controller suddenly starts acting up and pressing random buttons? It always reproducably starts when I enter the lobby. The console then seems to register random button presses and holds, even when I exit the game, until I restart the console.
I'm pretty sure it's not my controller as I've tested other games to be sure and, as I said, it always starts in the lobby menu.

Arg!, Do i go for the Splatoon2 & Pro Controller bundle? I want a pro controller but i don't know how good i'll be at Splatoon... grrrr. Would Amazon even deliver for tomorrow? Decisions, decisions.

One last question, I've looked at clothing gear, and noticed that some of them have the same abilities, like two different shirts might have the same ability right, but one is more expensive than the other. Is there a reason for that? Is that kinda linked to rerolling/editing etc with the more expensive item having slight differences!?
Splatoon is more objective based so anyone can become good at Splatoon. Play the campaign and try out as many weapons as possible to find something or multiple weapons you love to play with.
I suck fucking bad at fpses and competitive games but with Splatoon i can actually become first regulary in matches even ranked ones thanks to kills not being the 100% major focus like most other multiplayer pvp games and it's very easy to get into it.

Happened to me during the TestFest and drove me mad. Had to reset the switch every time. Pro controller is perfect in every other game given I use it all the time, so it's probably some bug in Splatoon's input handling rather a weak signal. Will they fix it? I fukkin hope so, but if they haven't noticed it so far...

I'd be curious to know what the physical vs digital breakdown is? This is one of the few games where I'd consider a digital purchase just to have with me at all times.
Some clothing gear have more slots for sub skills from the get go. (max. 3 slots) These are more expensive than a clothing gear with just 1 subskill slot. Apart from that just the branding I guess
The guy Murch can increase your subksill slots though. So with enough effort every piece of gear can be a 3star (3 sub slots) gear

Whenever I play on Inkblot Art Academy, members of both teams manage to get right up to the spawn points of the opposing teams, but I can't find any way to do this. I've even been on recon mode and nope, no path up there. How are other people getting up there?! It's absolutely infuriating.

It certainly seems like there's a lot of depth to this game, certainly more than it might seem at first glance.
Are you against digital? Buy from the South Africa store, works out at £39.
Nice and simple to, go to mynintendo.com change your region to SA, use your UK bank/credit card, buy the game, download, change region back to UK.
The version is EU and identical to downloading from UK eshop.
After I posted the info about this, lot's of UK gaffers done the same.
I know some people like to sell their games etc, but Splatoon 2 will likely be a long term game for many.
I never trade in, so I've just used the SA store for all my games, well not that I have many lol. Just Zelda and MK8 but first party Nintendo games never go down in price anyway so unlikely I'd find them for under 40 quid anytime soon.

Still no online for me more then 24 hours later, but I did just finish the single player mode. Had an absolute blast with it, wasn't the biggest fan of the forced weapon changing constantly, but didn't mind it too much. Level 23 was the absolute highlight. Reminded me a ton of the Donkey Kong kart levels, which I absolutely love.
Final fight on the other hand... Man what a disappointment after such a brilliant couple of hours

My K/D ratio in Destiny is something like 1:2. I am often the best player when i play splatoon.
Splatoon 1 was really good with matching you with players of equal skill. Aditionally it taught you how to play via the single player campaign and quick matches (3 minutes) mean that you never dwell on a loss too long.
Its an essential shooter if you like the genre and a fun game even if you dont.
As someone that sucks and normally hates online games, the key thing with Splatoon 2 is I'm having fun even if I'm shit.
But I don't find constantly dying in COD etc fun...
I think the key to the fun (partly) is that kill ratios don't seem to matter in this game, and this game just doesn't feel serious. Although I'm sure some people probably do take it seriously lol

Is there a good guide anywhere for newcomers about weapons, gear, and pretty much everything? Haha I'm a relative Splatoon newbie and I'm playing in Japanese so I can't rely on the game to find out about this stuff.
It seems you unlock a clan league at level 10, rank B-. In this new mode you always remain with your friends.
