Getting really frustrated at this game, I know people complain about how nintendo handles online but this is the first time I've actually been steaming mad at them for being so useless.

I'm from New Zealand and picked team mayo. the majority of my day has been spent waiting for a match and then getting kicked out to the lobby.

This needs to be fixed, it isn't a working product if online is this poor. What the hell????? I'm sure its not everyones experience but i have talked to multiple people that have had the exact same issue.
 
Splatfests are not balanced. Everyone is ketchup while the last one, everyone was ice cream. They need to choose more even themes. Ketchup or Mustard would have been way more balanced, but they stuck with Mayo. Maybe in other places it's more balanced, but in the US, it's not.

Salt or pepper would have been the best, tho. Salt memes would have been killer. Black/White ink.
 
24 hours feels like a good time frame to me and I think it maximizes the hype. Closing down Ranked is smart since it forces people into the Splatfest but I want to get back to it tomorrow, it would suck to have to wait another day. I think having Salmon Run overlap with the Splatfest is indisputably thematically correct so I can't disapprove, haha.

I can understand people who were locked out of playing due to work and social obligations being disappointed. Next time maybe you'll think twice about being a productive member of society!!

Lol, salt would crush it in popularity. I'm not sure why you think that'd even be close, and I'm saying that as someone who would choose pepper.

Oh, they will.

I prefer the campaign tracks in the first game; while I like Marie and Callie much more than Pearl and Marina, I cannot say the same for their music, though.

Still, I guess I'll get Splatune 2.
 
Man I was at 97/99 for King and in march making waiting on Ketchup when the stage change hits
and dunzo. Frustrating but oh well!

I definitely got in a groove and played a lot better than I ever did on wiiu
 
Noooooo I was so close to becoming King! But at least I won the last round for mayonnaise!

Now to see the inevitable conclusion where ketchup wins because it's ketchup in America...
 
I just missed the splatfest, it looks like. My first one :(

I got a reminder earlier today, but totally didn't actually hop into the game until 12:00 - a few minutes ago. Oh well, maybe next time...
 
Interesting, looks like they wiped everyone's drawings when the Splatfest ended. The graffiti in my plaza is generic Splatoon stuff and nobody has a drawing speech bubble up.

You get Super Sea Snails, it's basically currency to reroll equipment or add slots to existing equipment. The higher your rank the more you get. Having a higher rank is more important than winning or losing when it comes to the Super Sea Snails.
 
Wasn't able to play enough to get to royalty status but I got to the one before that. Went 3-2 Against mayo. Ended with 1800 power level. So many dcs tho.
 
Boo didn't make it to Mayo Queen. The woes of having to share the Switch with your boyfriend. Of course he made it to Mayo King! >:(
 
So I'm a newb to this game. I managed to get to Mayo Champion....other than a good time what do we get for this Splatfest? Some sort of award after the winner is announced or?
 
So now that Splatfest is over I decided to Recap my experience.
