Ok thanks. Could always sell the game on once I'm done with it I suppose.

Look, just buy the game for the single player content and sell it when youre done, it's great.
You'll fucking change your mind so fast once you try the multiplayer lol! this will be your favorite game you'll be tethering a connection on your cell phone or hitting up Starbucks.

Current Salmon Run schedule. I assume this is EST.

Seems to be your local time. For me it's 11pm and I'm central time.

I think Amazon is fucking up release date delivery, once again. It doesn't say "Out for Delivery" on Amazon, and is using their carrier. Just says "Package arrived at a carrier facility " as of 2:30am. Once again, they fucked this up.

Loving the game so far, but god I suck with the motion controls. And I suck in general.

Probably going to disable the motion controls the next time I play.

Same here. I HATE THERE'S NO MINI GAME TO PLAY WHILE WAITING FOR A MATCH WTF! 5/10!!!

I didn't realize how spoiled I was in SplatoONE. It's hella annoying to stare at that match making screen.

Mix the tunes dude.

Been playing for about a hour I miss using the wii u gamepad catch myself looking down to check the map & player positions only to see my pro controller will take some getting used to.

Anyone else's playing with Joy-con grip setup? This is my preferred way for now because I have no Pro-controller. I still gets it in, but I don't feel near as fluid and accurate as as I were with the Wii U gamepad. That's not to say the Joy-con themselves are less responsive than the gamepad, but the additional size and comfort of the Pro controller should up my game a bit.

Well, you can do a little bit of DJ-ing(try different bitton inputs) while you wait for a game. Doesn't quite count, but it's something.

You can still DJ in the lobby. The face buttons, d-pads, L, R, and joysticks all have different effects on the music.

I agree. JoyCon Grip is way better than handheld mode, which is crampy for my hands. I think I'm going to order those silicon covers for the Joycon just to add some extra girth for them.

I don't have a Pro, but JoyCon Grip feels great. Well, not as good as WiiU pad, but I have no complaints or desire for a Pro.

USPS continues to be the worst mailing company today

Lets just shove literally all mail in the mailbox even if it doesn’t fit fuck it
Don’t even have the key on me lol

WOW. SplatoONE had four different mini-games (3 had to purchased via Amiibo) that you could play while waiting. They were so awesome, I would sometimes get pissed that I would have to leave the lobby to actually play the game!!

I hope they add them in via update, but yeah right, they won't. It's by far the worse part of this game!

Yeah, handled mode seems a bit off. Seems to have a bit to do with the orientation and hand possition that doesn't lend itself well to the tiny, densely packed inputs. Yes, the grip works surprisingly well, though not quite on par with the gamepad.

New joy-cons :)

Nice! I have yellow ones in delivery. :D

Found where Salmon Run was hiding (duh...), but still haven't found my ability to aim in this game.

Salmon Run is quite cool. I like the Party Match feel of the game swapping random weapons between rounds. Maybe if I play this mode long enough I'll not only find golden eggs but the "aim" ability.

Yet another question. With regards to clothing, do the abilities stack?

So say I wear a vest with ink saver and then buy some sneakers with ink saver am I getting a boost? If not then I might as well have different "perks".

Thanks

edit: Also apparently the clothing changes daily right, so is it worth me buying everything each day so I don't miss out, or is that pointless?!

Guys what kind of exlusive content (clothing, weapons etc) is currently available (for a limited time) it seems to me I have to play Salmon Run to get a shirt or something + there's app exclusive clothing as well. When do they update? Weekly?

I can't play in handheld mode at all. The small sticks just don't work for me, even with the aim sensitivity turned up. I guess I'll play this game only with a pro controller.

Man this game is so damn good. For some reason I keep ending up on the losing team though. Maybe it's my suckiness...

The soundtrack to this game is phenomenal. Just loving the music.

I thought that I'd share a little info. I was able to connect my Switch and use my phone as a hotspot. I played a round of Splatoon 2 and it performed beautifully. According to my plan, in the 15 minutes I was connected to the internet and played one match, I used 0.0127GB.

Take that for whatever that worth.

Meanwhile I've played this game for 20h in handheld mode. Love it.

What's crazy though, is how Splatoon (and 2) manage to make losing not feel as bad as other online competitive games do.

So if I order something from SplatNet, I have to pick it up at Murch.

Where do I find this Murch, or does that person only show up when there's stuff to pick up?

You will find him sitting on the right side of the entrance to the Lobby, he is the spiky haired kid.
