Thanks.

There seems to be so much depth to this game though and so many things to consider.

Another question if you don't mind. Do "perks" stack up? So if I have two items of clothing with ink saver do I get a boost, or am I wasting a "perk"?
They stack, but keep in mind that sub abilities (the ones you roll for) are less effective than main abilities. Getting three of one ability on a piece of gear was common practice in the original.

Edit: New page, haven't seen an answer yet; is the squiffer gone?

Blah fuck quitters during the countdown on a comeback= communications error

I just got my Switch this week but I guess battery estimates could be all over the place. If you drained your joycons and then switched to portable, they would help drain the system quicker, right?

Tried to play a game of DOTA after playing Splatoon on and off most of the day. Was confused as to why we weren't inking the ground whenever we moved. Was very odd. felt a bit like the Tetris effect.

Man, I woke up and I was playing terrible this morning and then all of a sudden something clicked. I think I wasn't using the right stick ENOUGH. Turned my motion sensitivity up and now I'm feeling real good.

It's exactly the Tetris effect, it happens with lots of games.

After playing Mario Kart I felt the urge to drift around corners with my real car.

And after extended sessions of Crypt of the Necrodancer I have to fight the urge to do everything irl to an imaginary beat in my head.

What a fucking blast. Too bad I gotta leave for work, I'd be playing all fucking night. Lost quite a few matches, but as someone that didn't play Splatoon, I managed to be the one with most points even in the losing teams 90% of the time. I was having fun, even while losing.

I haven't read any updates in this thread (so I apologize in advance), but is voice chat active now? Any impressions on it?

Also compared to the first Splatoon, how do you like it?

Thanks for the helpful reply.

Final question to anyone that knows, is it at all possible to change your sub and special ability? Like mix and match?

To give you an example there's a weapon I like but I hate the Ink armour as the special ability, I'm assuming I'm stuck with it. I'd love to swap it for the curling-bomb launcher.

If so it's a damn shame, it would be great if you could literally mix and match to your hearts desire.

So...I really like SplatNet 2.

Here's an example of stuff you can share from it:

If they let you mix and match specials they'd have to rebalance all of the weapons to make them more or less the same. The rule usually is that the better the weapon is the less powerful the special is.

This is so much fun but damn am I bad at shooters. Hope I'll improve eventually. Using just the roller is tempting but I'm trying to stick to the guns and get better at using them.

Wow, the dualies are suuuper friendly to try out. That special I'm wrecking noobs with it. It's probably too easy to be good in the long run

Were you playing online?
Just saving the Zapfish. Walked around the lobby for about 8 mins.
I played Splatoon 2 for over an hour last night (and ARMS while I waited for the eShop fire to die down for about 30 min) and I didn't drop below 50%.

playing handheld online for 30 minutes and I'm down to 85%

Played online for over 2 hours in handheld mode last night and took me to 35%, so not so bad for me.

That doesn't seem normal.

My brightness is at max if that makes a difference to how your device is set up.

People were saying South Africa is the best for UK people, yeah. You can just change your region and use your normal UK card fine.

Where the hell do I get ability chunks?

This game doesn't explain anything lol

Yeah go to mynintendo change region to South Africa, purchase game, and then change region back to UK.

UK card is accepted, and game version is EU.

669 Rand which works out about 39 pound.

TY

Just had a salmon run where there were the geyser type things from single player appeared. No bosses appeared and no one knew what to do.

Spoilers all over Youtube. Just saw a link to an "all boss battles" video with what is basically the only story spoiler that matters right in the preview thumbnail, so be wary out their squiddoes.

I mean, you can probably guess based on the prequel story Nintendo posted plus the official art for the story mode, but still.

so I'm loving the game so far but holy fuck, precise aiming is fucking annoying as hell. Actually, aiming in general is. I tried without motion, that was meh, but with motion, the R stick, it has like this acceleration on it. I hate it. I can't just aim with it, it goes all over the place. So frustrated right now.

Make big turns with the R stick, aim with motion.

Where do the clothes you order from the app appear in game?

Visit Murch, to the right of the main building.
