My record is in the shitter because of this combined with players who doesn't understand that to win we need to have the most ink on the field.
Ok a few matches into my Splatoon career..
I like the game a ton.. BUT a couple things I know I have to do.
1) Order a pro controller .. ( Just did , splatoon version through best buy)
2) Keep this in the doc. Maybe I am just used to online shooters on the TV but I am having a hard time keeping up.
3) Get good.. screw you Splatoon vets.. when I get the hang of it I will destroy you.
4) Only wanted to use the app for stats... it does that well, info is reported instantly.
5) Do not tell anyone but this is the first game I have played on my switch (played a ton of them) that will make me want to play..

There's a level that lets you try out the Brella, and it is AWESOME.
you need to be high ranked enough to get the items. I'm pretty sure at least.
It's showing your form/winning streak.

Why can't I select "The Square" on the main menu? I've talked to both dudes and it's still greyed out.
I like this game a lot but man it doesn't explain some stuff very well or at all.
EDIT: Should I be always buying new gear and using it so it levels up? If I don't want any of the abilities I can just that as a way to get lots of ability shards, yeah?

Sloshers are gonna wreck so many newcomers to the series. I remember it took awhile for people to learn how to deal with Sloshers in the original when it was updated into the game.
I love Salmon Run, but I really can't stand beeing handed the Splat Charger. It doesn't have the range I want to comfortably sit back and snipe, and it's too slow up close. When things start getting hot, I'd rather have the other three weapons.
Still, the mode is pretty fun and I hope it will get more maps down the line.

I'm 12 wins vs 18 losses.
Smfh... I'm always on the side where I have a teammate who disconnects, rage quits, and even just stays at home base without moving the whole match. Then there's the bunch who doesn't ink the stage and tries to take on the opposing team Call of Duty style.
I'm going to try Salmon run or single player.

About an hour in and have gotten 3 disconnections and now I got the warning message about quitting which is really annoying.

I guess the game is too demanding for it to comfortably render to viewpoints at 60 fps each.

I know it sounds Blasphemous, but I really think dropping the framerate would be acceptable as a concession.
I'd rather them drop the resolution in order to hit higher framerates. Going from 60 fps battles to the 30 fps plaza is really jarring.

What about the guys who sits at home base the entire match and ends the match with 0 points? Maybe you're right maybe I'm dealing with idiots. My record makes me feel like a noob and I'm no noob. I hate losing.
Time for a small break after 5 or so hours playin the campaign only the final boss left....
It has been fuckin amazing so far the levels are longer the weapon variety is good and i had tons of fun way more than Splatoons 1 campaign imo.
What an awesome ride that was.... After this break it's showtime!

Yeah, the Brella is a really cool weapon though it's a bizarre take on a simple Shot Gun. It would be a real shame if couldn't take it into other levels to experiment with it more but you can so it's great.

I notice when a team loses, they lose big time. I've experienced few close matches so far. It's usually an assbeating and during the respawn I feel like I'm only seeing three characters at times. I wouldn't be surprised if people are quitting during a match.
It's Splatoon that's normal.

They're pretty tricky to deal with cause the range is incredibly deceptive, it shoots moderately fast and they hit like a truck. Plus Suction Bombs help for baiting/luring opponents into a trap. Such a great weapon!
It's the first day of the game so it will take some weeks before elo is correctly balanced and skilled players are in the higher ranks. Old Splatoon players are essentially smurfing now.

Love splatoon to death. MP is great. The SP was pretty lackluster and the finale music was kinda lame. Also I still cannot believe we don't have a "back out" of the lobby option. It's 2017 and I have to close my game and relaunch it because I get stuck in a bad lobby that won't find new players. And give us an option to skip the daily news intro. I've seen it too many times already.
