you can temporarily control altitude by pressing the jump or squid button

Haha, every time I play Salmon Run and it gives me the Splat Charger, I'm like "Oh crap". I feel like I'm doing an impression of every gameplay video I have ever seen of charger players.

I really like that it assigns the weapon randomly. It really forces you to brush up on those skills you've been neglecting.

I just feel useless with the paint roller and the splattershot jr. And I feel like my teammates with the charger don't know how important they are to taking out the steelheads.

Should show up in game when you press x and then go to stages and choose Salmon Run. Unless it just doesn’t show up when one isnt active since I’m not on now to check but that seems silly.


If I remember correctly next one starts in an hour and a half and runs for 22 hours.

I'm still in the first rank! I've gotten so close so many times, more often than not I would just get wiped in the last wave, even when we have the required amount of eggs.

Thank God you can turn off the motion controls, wtf were they thinking making that standard. Trash.

In general I can't stand motion controls of any kind. But if you can get used to them I promise you that they WILL make you a better Splatoon player.

Give them a couple hours. They ain't trash, this ain't like the mario Kart motion controls.

You have to beat every level with it.

There's a boss later in the game that seems absolutely insane to fight with short range weapons.

That was a feature in the Testfire. Maybe they were using that build at PAX.

Hopefully they patch it in, plus being able to do ANYTHING while you're searching for players.

No, I got midway through level 8 with just one double XP ticket I got from the story. That's 20 matches worth, only won 9 of them. Could've easily hit 10 if I won more.

You do that with League Battle, but you have to unlock it first. I believe you have to hit a specific grade in Ranked mode to unlock it.

Great game so far, since I can only play single player.


Don't have internet at my house so I use a mobile hotspot which is only an issue with Nintendo games. Everything else plays just fine.

Has anyone been able to get these games to play online with a hotspot? I have cricket which is an att subsidiary so not sure if that matters. I can go online and buy/download games, can see everyone's squid kids and fresh artwork just can't get into a game because "Nat traversal fails"

It's not ever going to work with a mobile hotspot. It doesn't support UPnP and it won't be able to open the correct ports.

What you could try is tethering to a laptop and then sharing that laptop's connect with internet connection sharing. That MIGHT work but I can't promise anything.
