Learning how to effectively carry the rainmaker is a requirement for winning the lower ranked matches consistently. Don't neglect it. It'll come in handy in higher ranks too when all three teammates inevitably assume someone else will grab it.
Shouldn't be too hard, unless you're consecutively losing matches. 4 straight wins in a row, and i went from C- to B in Splatzones. Still have no idea how skipping ranks works though, but i assume your performance in matches matter.
I don't know that I'd expect much, but saving gameplay clips is actually an announced feature of the share button.

Do i lose my freshness bonus on a weapon if i switch? Currently on 14 but i'd like to try some other weapons.

Rainmaker is legit the most fun I've had playing ranked. Matches are so intense. Splatzones can fuck off forever.

Depends how lucky you are with the dumbfuck teammate lottery in Ranked.
Have the servers been acting up for anyone else today? I got a bunch of random DCs toward the end of matches to the point where the game gave me the warning message about my disconnects being "suspicious" and the DCs always seemed to happen around the last minute of the match.

Yeah I've been getting disconnected quite a bit, both in game and while in the lobby waiting for players. It just started happening today for me.

Care to elaborate why the pro controller is so much better? Have you played with joycons in the grip for comparison? I've a feeling your experience is mostly to do with the display being fixed and not moving around with the joycons.

Hopped into rank for the first time yesterday. Never played so it took a while to understand it but once I got it, I started doing a lot better. Obviously will have problems playing with randoms but it doesn't bother me too much.
You can really see the skill (or intelligence) difference when a match ends in like 30 seconds and you're wondering wth the rest of your team is doing lol.

To be honest I know what you mean. The worst thing about this game is often you lose because of the other people in your team, that's when it's really fucking annoying.
Nothing makes you want to throw the switch against the wall like seeing "It's a wrap" with 10 seconds to go on the 3rd wave of Salmon Run.
Or no one bothering to do the objective in ranked matches....
Going back to your original comment though, in general that's why I'm ok with no voice chat on the Switch (without the bullshit app and cables etc),and I tend to block all comms on PS4 etc as often the only thing I'd hear or receive in messages is abuse so I'd rather ignore it.
I get angry and swear (I really should take a break when I get like that lol) but I would never do it down the mic though...

Seriously. Playing with randoms can be infuriating. I had two rounds where people tried to bring the rainmaker to our own base, no matter how often I spammed "This way!" Haven't even progressed from C- so far. At this rate B- is going to take forever. Do you have to be B- in every single mode in order to play League Battles?

It only shows you the Salmon Run schedule if it's currently running, there's no way to see future times from the app. Kind of a huge oversight considering the point of the app is so you don't need to launch the game to see this type of stuff.

There's nothing wrong with hating on losing. There is something wrong if your response is to cuss out everyone and mark good players as cheaters.

I've only played two rainmaker matches, both on that map.
First time we eventually won but not before a wonderfully bad moment when we had inked a route to the podium and the person who picked up the Rainmaker went in the opposite direction where you can't even access the area to progress off into enemy ink to boot like they hadn't paid any attention over the previous 3 or 4 minutes.
Second match I just ran in, grabbed it and it was over in 30 seconds as I was somehow uncontested inking my path with the rainmaker itself, guess they decided skirmishing with the rest of my team was a better gameplan.
You only need to be B- in at least one of the ranked modes to unlock League Battles
Yeah fast travel to world 2, level 6 and jump straight ahead on the platform where you spawn, and you'll see a crate on the right, grab the ticket, spawn back to the square, and rinse and repeat.
I gave up at 20 tickets, people who do that 99 times are patient. I found it boring as fuck doing that.

I understand that it can be really frustrating, but don't take it out on the good players. I never heard of someone reporting another player because they beat them in an online match lol Just relaaaax, the more you get frustrated, the more things fuck up.
Find a weapon you're really good at and don't forget about abilities. Cater to your strengths, not just what looks cool.
I mean I could win 8 games in a row like I said earlier in this thread and then lose horribly for the next 3-5 games or so. I really don't think it's any different than any other online shooter.

Yeah I was doing that, as soon as I grabbed the ticket x then + as you say, but it was still annoying lol.
What is the coin one? Coins will come in handy later. I'm only on world 2 though, can't find the motivation to do the campaign after the charger level with the moving platform.
Can anyone link me to some sort of intermediate or advanced tips guide? Or some good YouTuber? I feel like I'm hitting the same brick wall as Splatoon. I'm consistently getting 2 d or 3rd on my team and have just under a 1.0.kdr (I think).

No stress dude. I understand the frustration. I've been in more than a few matches wherein players have not moved the entire match. The Scoreboard showed their point totals as "0".
