played a few Turf War matches to get to Level 10 and use up the rest of the matches I had left on getting bonus XP from a Food Ticket...had a few matches where I was the top of the board and had my best match ever with getting over 1100 (was 2100 because of the win bonus)

I'll wait and play some Salmon Run tomorrow

Just got this Friday so still leveling up to ranked.

My god I swear a lot of these guys have never played a competitive multiplayer game before

A part of me deeply hates the way the game does not care at all about individual performance in creating its weapon proficiency ratings. A loss where I was the best player on my team and was down a player shouldn't hit me as hard as one where I was awful. Similarly a win where I was a burden to my team shouldn't count the same as one where I dominated.

It's a little thing, but it irks me sometimes when I see the game going, "yeah, you were great. Your team won because of you and it was a close match. But...it was a close match. +0.5."

The fact that the proficiency ratings last forever is going to take some getting used to. Kind of feel hesitant to use my favorite weapons and tank your rating :-P

Let me tell ya'll about an exciting business venture.

It literally does this so I'm not sure what you're talking about

Well it is a game thats accessible for 5 year olds so you shouldn't be that suprised

So are all the popular multiplayer games...I also love how the accessibility age for Nintendo games seems to get lower and lower

If it does, then I haven't noticed where the bar is. I had a loss where I had 900p+ and was down a player and it docked me -1.5 for my trouble.

Wait, are you talking about your freshness meter, and I misread? You realize that's only for bonuses, right? In terms of ranked performance and how much it increases/decreases it's based on personal performance (although your team still has to win for it to go up)

Weapon proficiency is what I'm calling freshness, yes; does it give you different ranked ratings per weapon too? I don't think it does...

Again, it's a minor thing. It just irks me when I'm playing in Turf War and am minding that number.

WHen you're on a fuckin' roll and there's a motherfuckin' communication error! :LASK:LSK:LASK:LASK:LASK:LAKS:LAKDJKFLEGHEKL WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

It only took an hour and a half, but I finally hit Professional level in SR. I only had to win 3 or so runs, but fuck me if they game wasn't making it as hard as possible. I'm pretty sure that if you get a non-gimmick high tide round 3 on any decent difficulty you might as well just give up right there because holy shit it's insane what the game throws at you. Multiple Flyfish, multiple Stingers, multiple Steel Eels and SteelHeads, and no room to work with any of them. The only times we won round 3 when it was high tide were when it was a gimmick, like the firefly rush or the mothership section.

Also, on the subject of complaining about SR, would it kill them to have more than 1 clothing item you can earn from it? Or at least have that item rotate out more than once a month? I might as well be getting money or one random chunk whenever I get that shirt again and again.

SPLATFACTS

Here's a quick tip for Spawning Grounds, on the side of the map that has nothing but grated walkways, paint some walls to make things easier for your team to travel on that side. Casually strolling on those walkways is basically asking to be splatted. Dropping down and then climbing a wall is quicker and safer.

Obviously this doesn't apply to High Tide.

That's what makes it so great, and sets it apart from other online games. It's completely child and casual friendly, with none of the usual toxic online behaviours to impact the game. No text or voice chat*, no griefing, fun, friendly vibe throughout. It's still fun if you are in a team with three others whole are just doing their own thing, completely oblivious of basic team coordination.

personally, I only find Salmon Run frustrating if team mates fuck things up. In the main game, it never bothers me if our team wins or loses.

* You know what I mean.

You know those waves of Salmon Run when the sky goes dark and there are tons of running fish / glowing gold fish?

I don't get why people run away from the egg basket.

Like stay right next to it, shoot everything that runs up and the eggs drop where you can collect them instantly.

Running to the gold fish and killing them on the coast makes NO SENSE!

If you're clumped up in a group it's easy to get fucked up real fast.

But teams overextending is a good way to instantly lose too, especially at the beginning of the round when they think it's safe. Then all of a sudden shit is crazy and everyone's spread out and getting picked off.

To the guys that were a part of my first 90+ egg run, you guys are awesome.

To the guys from my first run, my bad. >.>

To the guy that dropped out of a failing Pro run at the very last second to lower the quota, you're the best.

The Glowflies wave with the Splatterscope...bury me with my money.

Even with the Inkbrush, I've never felt as useless as that. :(

If you're clumped up in a group it's easy to get fucked up real fast.

Theyre usually limited to coming at you from one or two directions that are easy to cover. It's very simple for 4 people to handle those waves as a group.

No different than all 4 going to the coast and fighting. Just distance. And I don't see how separating is going to help. Way easier to get swarmed individually.

Can't do normal waves like this because the bosses stay on coasts sometimes but not those fast moving waves.

Salmon Run is a blast. Holy shit. Why can't this mode just be here always. I feel like I have to play the test of the note as I don't have time during the weekdays.
