Is there a way to move a main ability to a different looking outfit? I would love to have useful abilities but I refuse to not be fresh as hell.

Only option is to hope for a useful variant on the app. I guess you can order other players gear if there are different abilities.

Salmon Run is fun today if you don't get the Clash Blaster, it's way too slow for high tide boss shenanigans.

In other news, I am addicted to buying shoes in Splatnet.

If you add a slot to some gear using a seashell, then reset the subs, you keep the slot?

Sadly you can't move main abilities. Only way to get different ones is to check the store on the splatnet app.
Or look in plazza.

I find annoying to have such things limited to the app, by the way. Why?

Want more run speed on the shoes here
Also have a set that swaps out the sneakers with blue moto boots.

Yeah that the hell is this blaster monstrosity? No range, weak, not great splash damage.. see no use for it. Then again I may just suck at using blasters, I find them opponents wielding them pretty annoying in ranked modes..

Great for clearing out groups of smaller enemies.

We played a lot of matches in the Shoal at Gamescom. But now we're all wondering what the shoal stamp cards are for? We all finished the first one, but it doesn't seem to continue from there on card two. doesnt matter wether we win salmon run or lose salmon run. nothing happens anymore, just 1 stamp on card 2. How do we get more?

Maturity, bitches.
I think I've been focused too much of getting ink saver gear from the app.

I should have more variety with my inventory.

SLOSHING. MACHINE.

Oh man, I really hope they just ported it's stats over from Splatoon 1 and did no changes to it, if they did it's gonna be so fun with outraning all the typical short range shooters that people spam.

And it has Chicken Bomb! that's gonna be hella useful for drawing out people to bad positions. I have zero experience with Stingray as a bucket user, but I'm optimistic about what I can do with it after practicing.

Thanks for the birthday gift, Nintendo!

My new golden egg record(Professional pay grade). Thank you, awesome teammates!

Grillers really do suck the fun right out of this game.

They are relentless on whom ever they laser-target. Use that fact to create distractions or lure them towards concentrated squad fire. You can pursue them effectively (but be careful!) if they are not locked unto you.

I just got C+ in ranked. How long does this rank stay until it drops?
?

There is no time-based rank degradation in Splatoon. The only way you'll lose a C+ would be by losing a bunch of games and having your meter break before reaching the OK line. You could never touch that mode again and it'll stay as it is indefinitely.

I don't rant a lot about teammates, but I'm annoyed with people that take the rainmaker and don't have a clue on how to reach the spot. I want to leave B+, dammit.

(Also, people that don't advance when going a meter forward means taking the lead... even if you die, when the time is running out, it's better than loosing by a single point after timeout :/ )

Damn, I was happy to reach 82... (at 205%)

It heavily depend on the waves you get, though...

True, but it's still a slow process, and easy to make a mistake. And some weapons are awful in this wave. Also, at best, you'll be slightly over the threshold, but you'll never reach 25-30 eggs on this one, let alone 35+

I got the Griller wave twice in a single run (we did the first at 12, we failed the second (3rd wave) at 14 for a single egg :/ ). I hate this wave.

Is it me or you won't get the rush (with the golden enemies in the middle of frantic rush, pursuing people with luminous flies) in upper payment? That's unfortunate, I find it hectic, but fun.

Great for clearing out groups of smaller enemies.
Works wonders with some bosses, too... Especially the Stingers. Even if I'm not fond of blasters, I probably don't know how to use them properly.

Yeah, I think we had one shoreline wave and two low tides. Normally, low tide at this difficulty is a nightmare, but when it works out in your favor, that can leave the platform area littered in golden eggs from an onslaught of defeated bosses. We were fortunately enough not to die that time.

Yeah, most we got today for Griller wave was 21.

I was wondering myself, but then I got about 2 or 3 waves with them in the last hour or so.

Just checked the maps for the next few 2 hour blocks. Looks like Manta Maria is going to be on constantly for Turf War (didn't check ranked) tomorrow.
Yeah, in the first game it was tradition for a new map to appear in every rotation for 24 hours after it launched. Not sure if they'll do that for turf, solo ranked, AND league, but expect to see it a lot either way.

Seeing the Stinger conversation, I feel the desire to wade in somewhat seeing as I'm forced to use it quite regularly whenever I want to haul out the splatling gun :p

While it is usable as people have mentioned (I get about 2 kills out of it every activation) it really doesn't come close to the potency of the tentatek missiles. With the missiles it's easy to use, the window of vulnerability is lower and you can't hide from the missiles, all you can do once they're fired is run and hope you don't cross paths with another targeted teammate because in those situations there's a good chance you're both dead :p

Meanwhile, perhaps due to my familiarity with it, the stingray is easily dealt with. What most people won't tell you (maybe because they didn't notice or don't know) is that the thermal vision on the scope can't see squids in ink, so if someone blasts in your direction with a stingray, just squid for a few seconds and they're either forced to pick another target or shoot completely blind until the special wears out (after all they were shooting when you squidded so they have no idea where you went). likewise, thermal vision annoyingly doesn't help when your target is in the open, sometimes people with stingers are looking so hard for the white silhouettes they don't notice people standing in plain sight :p
Also, if someone is using a stingray and you have a stingray ready for activation, you can often beam them in the face back. Most people using it don't seem to realise they can squid out or stop shooting so once you work out where they are and send a deathray back at them they're usually toast.

That said, while you are somewhat vulnerable while it's out, you're not a free target. You can get some amusing results using them in confined corridors, I've killed many people with the stinger because they thought they could approach on the slender walkways of moray towers or the cramped alleys between port mackerel's containers only to find out the width of the beam's hitboxes covers such narrow quarters quite nicely when well placed.

Still, any time I have a stingray I'd happily trade it for almost any of the other specials. Just because you can learn to use it effectively doesn't mean you'll want to :p

So finally ordered some splatoon clothing on EditMode my sister helped me with paypal cuz for some silly reason those 2 small deposists to register my card never go through. So i put funds on her paypal acc and payed through that.

I got a black squideye shirt those marie and callie splatfest tee's and the chocolate color shirt that looks like the white/black vneck shirts in splatoon 2.

It was expensive but whatever lol i want some splatoon clothes:p

I measured my own clothes and looked at the size charts the sizes were very simular to my own t shirts luckily.

Hopefully those anchor shirts gets in stock someday again, those are the last i will buy when they do.

Blarg. Just played 7 matches and won 2 of them. So many people disconnecting. So many fucked up Turf Wars where the matchmaking just said "Here, let's put this level 50 and level 40 player on the same team, and let's put the level 3 guy on the other team" (to all the people who say level doesn't matter, tell that to the level 50 guy that goes 16-1 while I'm paired with a level 3 guy that gets under 400p).

I dunno, this matchmaking is something else. Between people just generally being idiots and not being able to stay connected, sometimes it just feels like nothing you can do can win a game. Doesn't matter how good you are, they're better and your teammates are worse.

Had a weird turf war just a bit ago. 3 of us spawn in on my side. Im level 34. And i had a couple sub-level 10s with me. I figured, shit, we are toast. 3 mans rarely win. I noticed the other team was comprised of players between 10 and 15. I figured id go all ham and just attack the other players like crazy and not worry about inking. And hopefully the other two fill in behind me.

The match came to a close and we won by like 5%. Couldnt believe it. If i remember right i finished with 12 splats.

Was not expecting that win at all. But ill take the bloody thing as 3 man teams spawned in right at the beginning are usually screwed bad at the start. Definitely helped i was against some newer players.

So many disconnections in Salmon Run tonight, and a lot of losses in first round because of this...

But the game apologized to me, somehow.

I got a headgear with Ink Resistance Up as main, and Ink Saver (Main) x3 as subs...

Managed to snag a pair of shoes off of someone in the square with Ink Saver (Sub) Main, and then 2x Ink Saver (Sub) sub abilities, plus a free slot in the back. I have no idea how the person got them, considering they're Enperry and not predisposed to giving out Ink Saver (Sub) abilities, but whatever. There's no way in hell I'll get a 4th Ink Saver (Sub) on these, but Enperry at least has a higher chance of Sub Weapon Up.

The real point is that now Autobombs are REALLY stupid when they only cost about half of your tank. It's so easy to harass people with them and force them to move (hopefully into danger) when you're just chucking them constantly. I'm totally set for that Sloshing Machine now!

Again, unless that part of the matchmaking has somehow changed since the first game, turf war "matchmaking" does not select who winds up on each team, that part is randomized. If there's a problem with the system, it's the fact that it's putting level 3 and level 50 players into the same lobby in the first place, not whether they wind up on opposing teams or not. It's still a mystery exactly how they weight putting people into lobbies, how much ping vs. level vs. playstyle plays into it.
