Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

Did anyone from NA get their Splatoon amiibos shipped from Bestbuy yet? I find a little weird I haven't gotten any notice and all I get on my order page is just "Status Not Available."

I tend to find my router (Virgin superhub) does not play well with any of my consoles, I opened the ports and everything has been smooth since, console connection wise.

I had some lag where it wouldn't ink where I shot at, but it was matches with primarily Japanese players but only that one instance.

That is only possible with static ip or does it work with dynamic ip as well?
 
Wow, that's a sexy OP.

I'm buying this day one but i'm still a little bitter about the lack of more local multiplayer modes.
 
Lol at nobody whatsoever playing as squiddudes, it's wall to wall squidchicks.

I'm also now convinced this game is going to be a hit. It might take a while, but it's gonna do just fine. The breadth of strategies is insane and the back-and-forth territorial battle is dramatic as hell.

Need the toilet badly but don't want to stop playing.

- If all Splatoon stock was on that truck, like the email mentions, why are they selling the regular game in stores as we speak? Feels really unfair that the customer who pre-ordered the game as soon as possibe now has to wait the longest to get it.

After Amazon's screw up with my faulty, irreplaceable (pre-ordered) Wario amiibo and now this I'm getting really fed up with both amiibo's and online retailers in general.



While I hope not for your sake, it would be a slap in the face to customers like me to still sell it in store when supposedly all of the Splatoon stock was on that stolen lorry. Do let us know if you were able to get it though - if only so we can hassle GAME about it some more.

Hmmm you may have a point, why would the 'Game' lorry be full of squid amiibo & game packs "only", wouldn't it have the regular splatoon game, regular amiibos in the same lorry? Otherwise surely they could've just used a few vans? Also no ps4 , xbone, wiiu games accessories neither? I don't know how that works so if someone who works in retail can shed some light here.


Also i read a conflicting story from someone earlier that said they rang game and game claimed it was all of the UK stock bar Amazons, But then to conflict en THAT story i heard it was ONLY game stores stock, so who's telling the truth and who is lying..
 
Got to level 4 fairly quickly,
once I unlocked the roller
taking a break for the sake of my eyes. Lots of people at level 10 already!

Not had any trouble/waiting time to get 8 players in a lobby which I'm pleasantly surprised about. Also really enjoying the single player so far.
 
where in the holy hell can buy this 3 pack of amiibos damn it?!! This shouldn't be this hard. Does Nintendo not want my money? lol
 
Major brain fart here, but Nintendo never has paywalls on online games right? I can't see buying this until some of the updates down the road, but I'm still renting it next month.
 
Downside of starting a new job is I couldn't get Friday off. The upside is money.

I cannot for the life of me wait for this game!

I made a quick post about the Blaster in the spoiler thread. The Blaster set looks like it's absolutely dedicated for hunting and killing.

- Blaster shoots real slow, but it has big splash and can OHKO. It seems to be the equivalent of a grenade launcher or a rocket launcher.

- Poison Bomb (I think?) doesn't damage nor release ink, but it basically hits everyone in an area with a faerie fire effect that reveals them, even while they're dived, AND slows them down. Good for tossing into enemy ink to find would-be ambushers.

- Killer Wail is artillery that can hit through walls, but does not spread ink.

Anyway hopefully I'll be a little more active here than in the other GAF gaming communities that I lurk!
 
I wanted "Hard in the Paint" or "Squids Next-Door" but this OT title will do.

Besides, I think this game will some serious staying power. Like.. hopefully Smash level staying power.

... I still need an excuse to take Smash out of my Wii U
