Holy shit that's one of the worst design choices I've seen in a while. Imagine if CS or CoD did that. At least in those games matches can last between 10 - 45 minutes, you're going between maps every couple of minutes in this game.

It's changed every 4 hours and matches are locked at 3 minutes. It's fine.

I don't know. I had the same problem, flawless before release, then launch day and for hours IO couldn't even get in a lobby then eventually managed to get into matches and dropped out of 99% of them within 1-2 minutes and then eventually had a few work and now today it's been fine.

Due to various issues with the AC literally cracking some of my systems screens and with moving next month I decided to not get this game until late July or August since I couldn't play it.
I then realized the AC doesn't go in the garage apparantly since its always hot out there...so I can hookup my tv and WiiU and play it for hours out there in the heat. I may lose online for a bit when I move, and I have to wait until amazon ships it with free shipping, but I think I can order it next week and get a good week of play in before I move and am forced to quit for a couple weeks and oh god I think I'm doing it. The hype is too stong and demo too good and I don't wanna miss anything damnit. I wanna be there when new stuff goes up. Why must I be in such a bad position.

They really should change it to eather less time (like 1 hour) or put more maps in the rotation.

No, it's note fine. Having 5 maps to start with is pathetic, making you play the same two over and over for four hours is just... it's beyond words.
At least if it rotated all 5 maps you wouldn't play the same one again for 20 minutes. That would be tolerable.

I'm guessing to speed up matchmaking. In MK you sometimes had to wait for everyone to vote.
It's so you don't have to worry about your weapon set and gear matching the map I believe. It's baffling really and I'd hope journalist would ask about it.
Fuck maybe we'll have to use Miiverse

The way it is now you can play the same map 7 or more times in a row. Which is stupid. You have 5 maps at launch, which is a small number for s hooter but whatever. Why artificially limit it even further by forcing a limit of 2 maps? And even then the box that shows the maps has room for THREE! Why not let us play on three maps at least?
It really is stupid.
And that is stupid because you don't know which map it'll be between the two! The better way would be to show you the map you're getting and let you pick the weapon before going into it.
Hmm. I guess I'll just see how it goes tomorrow. Dropping out of matches when you're doing well is really frustrating. I know when it's gonna happen too, the paint spraying starts to lag first. :s

Having a blast! Game is fantastic and Nintendo deserves major credit for the fact that the game works flawlessly on day one. Matchmaking is so fast that I don't even have a chance to play the mini-game on the gamepad.
Shame that the MP maps don't change more often and that you cannot change your weapon when respawning. Would be really nice to choose a new weapon when respawning, so you can adjust to the 'enemy'.

They just need to have all the maps in rotation and let you change the loadout before the game starts.

Yeah, like I think the limited maps are so you can more easily choose what weapons to use... But why not just eliminate that problem by doing what you suggested lol
