Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

Pulled the trigger for this game.

This is someone who bought a WiiU for MH3U and has purchased like 4 titles total for the console.

Also purchased my first Amiibo as well.

Good job Ninty

Do we know which abilities can never show up as secondary on gear? Probably anything that sounds like a binary "you either have it or you don't?" Ninja Squid, Stealth Jump?

I have to admit, the game is not really grabbing me at the moment and I just find myself getting frustrated more than actually having fun. It's the little things that are really starting to add up into a big pile of annoyances like how you can't equip new weapons during a match or even in the lobby. Also getting very sick of trades (you and the opponent dying at the same time) but that's probably because of the ink being projectile rather than hitscan. Maybe I'll enjoy it more later but for now it isn't really grabbing me.

Any Gal user here can comment on the .96?
I'm not doing as bad as I thought i would, but I miss the inkstrike so much :<

I just equate it to a SPAS or USAS from Battlefield. Fire rate and I'm coverage is meh, but you catch them with one good shot at close range, and they're toast.

Pretty much an automatic shotgun.

I love the spongebob references around in the game world.

I saw a doodle of patrick asking a girl inkling "are you squidward?"

:)

Now if only this connection unstable shit would stop so I can enjoy the damn online hours on end.

This is what I was expecting, but I can't OHKO anyone. Guess I'll try adding +damage boosters and try again later.

It's really, really good. Keep a Sprinkler active at all times.

That I do, but I need to find some nice ceilings first, or they get busted in no time. They really make up for the inkstrike, except for the range.

Thank you both for the inkput!

It's got amazing range though. I find that at close range if you miss the first two shots you're dead.

What's the point of the countdown in the "waiting for players" screen? It's not like it's going to start the game with less than 8, and it always end up resetting to 200 secs anyway.

It kill in 3 hit. What I really like about is that it has a pretty long range. Killing while they think they are at a safe distance is really satisfying

Are there any High fire rate weapons outside of the Splatershot Jr. that have the Bubbler as well? Been experimenting a bit, but I really want that Bubbler ability back, but with a weapon with a 100 fire rate

How easy to get into would this be for somebody who's generally not too great at shooter-type games? I just ordered this off of Amazon and would love to play with GAF, so I'd be very interested in knowing!

Only ones I've seen are rapid blaster and custom blaster, both of which are pretty much the exact opposite of fast.

The truth. Playing on the saltspray rig with this setup is great. Put a sprinkler on the crane in the the big area and then flank the person trying to get rid of it.

For the crane, you mean the grate right? There's a moving platform at the top of Saltspray Rig you can put your sprinkler on that is insanely hard to hit. It covers a large part of the area -- very good stuff. Holding the middle section of the top part of the stage by just staying on the highest crate is, from my experience, very easy.

Oh yeah, I just managed to get one of those kills, it was quite awesome. I was in need of a high range weapon for the mall, but it seems I just found it.

Yea and its annoying that you cant back out, but yet you can back out in the waiting for friends game lol

It would be really easy, even if your not good at shooting people, you also can contribute by painting the stage, or use the roller weapon in which you dont have to shoot.
